I personally won't mind another person's political views especially if there different from you or me, but alot of people, especially this day and age, are extremely personal when it comes to politics. There was a thing that looked like it was once a very tiny skate ramp (3:52). We couldn't figure out what it was.
Crowne Prince well then, case closed. Along with the cancellation of the golf course was as well a cancellation of Donald Trumps dream of becoming a skater, one to outdo the likes of even the greatest. Good dreams die hard when you're a billionaire though. It's always the 99% against you.

The park land is under the control of the New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation. The abandoned and decayed state of the land is the result of New York State's decision to close the park and not spend any money to maintain it, other than the bare minimum for public safety.
Donald Trump does not own the land (he donated it to the State), he does not manage the land (that is done by the State), and he has no say in the use of the land.
In the late 1990's, Trump purchased the land to build a golf course.
In 2002, the project stopped when several development problems arose - (a) changing environmental restrictions associated with the wetlands on the property, (b) getting approval to rezone the property from residential to recreational, and (c) obtaining adequate water supplies for a golf course.
In 2006, Trump donated the land to New York State. Governor Pataki praised the gift of land, "... I express our gratitude to Donald Trump for his vision and commitment to preserve the natural resource of this property for the benefit of future generations." State Parks Commissioner Bernadette Castro praised the gift, adding "... New Yorkers ... will now be able to enjoy these parklands for years to come."
In 2010, the NY State Parks closed 58 parks and historic sites because of budget cuts. Even though the State was only spending $2500 per year to maintain the DJT Park, it was one of the ones closed. According to the NY Times, Trump was furious about the closure and formerly requested that the NY State Parks return the land to him. The Parks department said no.

I actually find it more fun to explore "wild" areas like this than to go to a regular park. Besides the name sickening me, I would visit if I found myself in the general area.
This is the first time I got to do "Urban Exploration." I'm not keen on going into places that say no trespassing, which is what a lot of urban explorers do.

It reminds me of the fields my family walk our dog around. It's a well troden path though and in England so people aren't afraid to walk their dogs. It's a nice patch of pure nature. I don't see why America has to have all these well groomed parks that have killed all their wildlife
Most of the people where I live care about wildlife as the space I was talking about was going to be turned into another housing estate but plenty of people voted no for the fact it was a nice space (and the fact the traffic would become 10x worse than it already is) its besides people who where born and raised in america are just used to falseness and its whats expected.
I live in Canada and we have a lot of those kinds of parks too. If it's a non-public nature preserve, there aren't signs everywhere telling you to go to it. If it's a natural park (most are), people don't throw trash all over the ground and there aren't abandoned buildings with asbestos in them.
Theres definitely some land like this in America, too, if you ever think of touring the us, I think you'd like Colorado with parks like the Rocky Mountain Arsenal and Pawnee National Grassland.
I guess due to where I live I'm used to seeing abandoned stuff and rubbish left by people. I guess this is just what I'm sort of used to but then again I don't ever leave my house

Your face is 11/10 the best face I have ever seen a paper bag wear. You should take a picture and frame it.
There's a lot of promise in those hills. A shame that it will be a lot of effort to make them into some great parks when the masses do not want to put the effort into things anymore. Thanks for showing this on your channel.

I like it. I love abandoned places full of trees and casual ruins. It's whimsical. Like a magic forest. Could use more rocks to build the ruins tho. Also, it could be bigger. 9/10 would get lost there.

Reminds me a lot of the abandons military sites we have over here. They have been left for nature to reclaim for the last 20 years and gives you that Unique feeling of an apocalyptic scenario. Awesome inspiration for artwork, especially the old run down buildings.

You know that park looks a lot like the parks and public squares here in Brazil, vegetation, abandoned buildings and all, however those all being in the middle of the city. (As far as I know here in Curitiba and some places in São Paulo).
