Great unbiased review, love that you always bring us the latest book tools. I'm not a detailer -not yet, anyway- but as a weekend warrior over 50 I appreciate the convenience. I, in fact, use one of those electric gardening sprayer bottles for my rinseless, and it works good but this one looks more quality. The little bottle is kind of a pain, though. Thanks! 👍🏻
I have a couple of the RYOBI 18 volt ones. I have had them both for a while now and they have worked great. Thanks for the review, I think I will get one of those later.
Neat tool! Especially for anyone who might be older or have hand issues. A few suggestions for Ryobi-Make the battery chargeable on-board or sell extra batteries for cheap. Same with those tiny bottles. Give it a foam setting. Suggestion for you-Get a longer flexible hose with a weight on the end to fit inside a standard bottle so you can spray a lot longer/more product without having to stop and refill that tiny bottle. Thank you Josh!
You can pick up extra batteries for $30 or so (Always look out for sales). I have multiple tools that run off the USB Lithium system and love em. The Ryobi Compact Flashlight is the one I use the most. I also have 3 batteries and a 3 battery charger. Plan to get more. ;O)
Ryobi comes out with some novel products but the quality man. Aside from their lawn care tools, a lot of their stuff gets disconnected with stops working. Speaking from experience as I have owned a lot of their gadgets.
Thanks for showing us. Pretty Cool. Think I will snag one and give it a try. What popped in to my head was having another bottle, I will put Distilled Water in it, to rinse it out if it's gonna sit for anything length of time.
Great video. I bought this spray unit two weeks ago. I use it for rinsles wash and works awesome. I had to fill up the bottle 10 times for two SUV . The battery was running perfect. Will try to replace the tube so I can use it with bigger bottles. Great little machine
I like the compact size of this one, but comparing it to my HarborFreight Bauer 1 Gallon 20v electric sprayer, doesnt make sense for me personally. I paid $40 for it by using a 25% coupon. Regular price is $49.99. Ive also used all of my harsh chemicals with it and no issues for almost 1 year now. When i use my rinseless, it has enough capacity to do my ram 3500 dually. Battery lasts forever (it says 70 gallons per charge) but id say closer to 30 or 40 gallons per charge. I also have extra batteries. I wasnt sure if you knew of this bauer sprayer, so i thought id mention it just in case. 👍 Im gonna try this Ryobi, because i like the idea for smaller applications. The cool thing about this Ryobi is you can have separate bottles of products and switch out quickly. Id use it for tire dressing (water based) and car detail spray (technicians choice)
Ryobi already has a sprayer very similar that uses the 18 volt batteries. The tank holds 15 oz of any water soluble liquid and the unit without battery (if you’re already a Ryobi tool owner) is only $20 at Home Depot.
@imjoshv of course! I've decided to pull the trigger on several that you've featured after seeing you break them down and review them. I'm building my detailing business, and I'm always looking to learn and grow!
I am in kansas city and we have a hardware store Menards that has a Centurion brand spray bottle that uses double A batteries and are $12.99 right now. I purchased one to use with rinseless wash products and works great for that especially at that price !!! Definitely worth checking in to.
Just saw this sprayer on some random tiktok suggestion and admittedly looked cool at first, but then I remembered I already have their battery power washer with the ez clean attachment. This mini sprayer looks like it could work better for interior detail
Great video Josh. I agree, If we rinseless/water less washing for exteriors, it would do great. I worry about clogging if we use it 4 tire dressing or wheel cleaners
Thanks forthe honest review. Only way I'd probably use it is a rinseless wash as you mentioned, but seems like the volume of liquid it can hold is way too small even with a 32oz bottle. Maybe if you could thread on a 64oz bottle and get a really long tube it would be ideal, especially for half the price of the IK battery sprayer.
Josh, we've been using the Milwaukee M12 1 gallon backpack (garden) sprayer for stuff like this. It's great and additional jugs are the way forward for different liquids. Long reach wand and the 1 gallon capacity lasts a long time between refills. Yes, it's more money than the Ryobi but the juice was worth the squeeze on the Milwaukee. You can find them at the same place you bought that Ryobi in the garden section. They offer a 2 gallon variant but that seemed a bit excessive with having 2 gallons on a shoulder strap.
If it has a regular size quick disconnect that means you can use the 1 gallon bottle attachment for the Ryobi 18v handheld pressure washer and just cut the hose to length to fit a regular bottle of liquid
I wanna get one just for the tool working like a squirt gun! Also Ryobi does offer a 3 amp hour battery. To my knowledge all the 3 amp hour batteries and the newer 2 amp hours with the button to check the charge level can be used as battery banks. I use my 3AH as battery banks all the time. It’s not super fast but it is super small and convenient to carry.
I just brought 4 the 18v version. They were on sale for $15. I just checked, and now they're back to $80. 1 for Rinseless wash ONR 1 for Dark Fury for wheels. 1 for Tec582 drying aid 1 for Formula 4 Spray wax
Pretty neat tool I'd definitely consider it for my wheel cleaning until the new IK battery foamers come out. I wonder how well it holds up to stronger chemicals like acids
JOSH!! Can you pls review the Ryobi cordless air compressor and see how it works for detailing pls!!! Like is it good enough to use to blow our debris, can u use it with a tornador etc?
Looks good. I have the 18V bigger version and would like a smaller, more manageable, version for around the house and that would fit the bill. Plus, a few of those 4v devices seem like "nice to have" and would put me in that line.
Get the 3 port charger. Especially if you use these dialy. I love this new battery platform from Ryobi. They do make a 3ah battery. Thanks for the review. I haven't seen these yet.
Not entirely sure but you might be able to get some fuel line for lawn equipment or some maybe the hose you would use for fish tanks to make yourself an extended straw
Wonder if meguiars wheel and tire cleaner can be used without any problem also would love this thing to use on shower glass doors among other in home uses
JOSH have you tried the ONE+ 18V Cordless Handheld Chemical Sprayer? has a 70 degree spray pattern and use the 18V batteries. It holds 500ML and is under 20$. Great review of the Compact sprayer.
When you set the sprayer down on it's provided base does it stand up without tipping over? Looks interesting for applying spray drying aid like Griots Ceramic Spray Shine.
Hey Josh. Thanks for the review! Do you know if you are able to buy a longer hose that is compatible with the unit so you can use it with bigger bottles other than the small bottle that comes with it? If you can’t buy a longer hose and you are forced to use that small bottle, that is a big limitation. Thanks!
Looks very similar to the One+ Compact Sprayer that uses their 18v battery system. I have been tempted to buy one since I already have several Ryobi batteries. What has held me back is the bottle size and difficulty getting additional bottles. I may still buy one, they are only $39 w/o a battery. I’m hoping demand results in readily available replacement bottles or better yet, a larger size.
Ryobi does have 3ah usb lithium batteries. Their usb flip light is calibrated for color accuracy and would be good for car detail work. I have it and the usb air pump and like them.
To me, Ryobi went backwards on tech and size. The Solo 260 is more compact and slightly less expensive unless you buy the Obsessed Garage version. As a working tool, I reckon it has its place, but it just seems like the Solo 260 is where it’s at for these types of sprayers. Note about these (all of them) … do NOT put thick liquids in them. You will damage or break them. If you’re going to use it for things like dressings, you need to thin them out to almost a water consistency. Ask me how I know … 😊 I use the Solo’s every day. I have had them for 4+ years. 😊😊😊
wouldnt say backward on tech. this has a hot swappable battery so you wont need to plug your unit in to charge. just buy two battery and swap it out. more product is always better for competition and since this is just out eventually there will be a sale on these.
@@thai6670 The fact that it’s literally 3x the size of a solo is the definition of backwards tech … in my book. Plugging a Solo in to a wall or a Ryobi’s battery in to a wall, no difference. They have to be charged. Ryobi’s is almost comically sized. Solo is just the better buy imo. 😊😊😊
Hmmmm.. This might work. I’m looking for something to spray Wheel/Tire cleaner. Maybe Waterless Wash. It’s not designed for foam, but this would be the way to go on wheel cleaner.
I always wonder why the detail guys I watch are using manual spray bottles. Carpel tunnel is real. Take care of your hands!!! Also it would be good if they sold extra bottles with caps so you can quickly change out your products would be a good idea.
I wonder if it's the same quick connect as the cordless pressure washer? If it is u can use the hose from that. It should be fine with longer bottles. When does this come out
I'm in so many lines and the ONLY reason I am in Ryobi is because they are always innovating. I do have 3 of their older 18v sprayers (got them at closeout for like $19) and they kinda suck. I'll have to check these out
Ryobi has the coolest lineup
I agree
Ryobi sell the quick connects with longer straws. I use them for my EZ Clean.
Thanks for the tip!

Awesome review, looks like the stream allows you to pew pew any students falling asleep in a detailing class
Haha for sure

I am a big fan of the Solo 1 Liter sprayers... no battery to worry about either. Currently $23 on Amazon... well built also and easy to clean.
I’ll check them out
I purchase detail spray in bulk, so this sprayer will be perfect for me. Thanks for the review
Great video. I bought this spray unit two weeks ago. I use it for rinsles wash and works awesome. I had to fill up the bottle 10 times for two SUV . The battery was running perfect. Will try to replace the tube so I can use it with bigger bottles. Great little machine

The piece of equipment I never knew I needed!!!
Just bought one. I can't wait to try it out.
Finding super interesting detailing products, as usual, thanks Josh!!
Glad you like them!
@imjoshv of course! I've decided to pull the trigger on several that you've featured after seeing you break them down and review them. I'm building my detailing business, and I'm always looking to learn and grow!
The 4v system is great. Very lightweight. Got one on order right now. Thanks for the heads up.
Ryobi always making products I didn;t even know I needed lol
Absolutely love my ryobi blower/lawn equipment I might have to pick this up for detailing.
I am in kansas city and we have a hardware store Menards that has a Centurion brand spray bottle that uses double A batteries and are $12.99 right now. I purchased one to use with rinseless wash products and works great for that especially at that price !!! Definitely worth checking in to.
I think I found it on Amazon! I’ll check it out thanks
I´am a German PPF Installer and wanted to buy this sprayer for my Slip and Tack Solution but i think its special for Home Depot and Amazon USA.
thank you Josh for the review. Great work like always!
Appreciate it!
Yeah I think it will clog with the dressing. Stick to the thin liquids
Hopefully in the future, they'll give a second longer straw for bigger bottles. This would be another one of Ryobi's cool little tools I would buy.
Thanks forthe honest review. Only way I'd probably use it is a rinseless wash as you mentioned, but seems like the volume of liquid it can hold is way too small even with a 32oz bottle. Thanks for the review. I prefer my compressor and a small Harbor freight paint gun. I can spray any liquid through it.
Great video, Josh! Can you do a follow up video showing the DIY bypass you installed on your DI tanks? Thanks in advance.
If it has a regular size quick disconnect that means you can use the 1 gallon bottle attachment for the Ryobi 18v handheld pressure washer and just cut the hose to length to fit a regular bottle of liquid

Interesting but I don't know if I would really use that!! Thanks Josh!!
Yeah, a regular sprayer will do the same job for much cheaper, but I think this is a great option for bigger jobs
Definitely using it for drying aid much easier then using spray bottle
I just brought 4 the 18v version. They were on sale for $15. I just checked, and now they're back to $80.
1 for Rinseless wash ONR
1 for Dark Fury for wheels.
1 for Tec582 drying aid
1 for Formula 4 Spray wax
Great deal!!!! The one thing I like about these is i can put them in my standard bottles and keep them in my bottle rack
@imjoshv I will have to get a rack for them. Your channel is awesome. I have learned so much from them. Thank you.
Pretty neat tool
I'd definitely consider it for my wheel cleaning until the new IK battery foamers come out.
I wonder how well it holds up to stronger chemicals like acids
Aw man I was looking forward to seeing the inside.
I’ll get a small tool and get it open!
JOSH!! Can you pls review the Ryobi cordless air compressor and see how it works for detailing pls!!! Like is it good enough to use to blow our debris, can u use it with a tornador etc?
I have Ryobi's other sprayer that uses the 18V one+ battery. Like you said, awesome for pretreating rinseless washes.
3ah batteries are available for the ryobi lithium 4v usb line. You can use these batteries as a power bank as well. Nice review!
That's good to know! It's nice to have options.
And also the 3 bay charger. Beats messing around with the USB connector!
@@Sylvan_dB Yes it sure does!
Thanks for this. Might give this a try with some superior products like the road warrior and formula 4 .

Great to know about the 3ah! Thanks
Josh take a look at this vs Fantik nb8 flip
Josh, just got a Ryobi 3ah battery so they do have higher capacity batteries!
Home Depot had the Ryobi heated cushions for $45 right now too with two of those batteries and a charger
The price sucks! But this is awesome! Way better than a pump spray bottle 👌🏼
Great video! Nice product. Will this work with Mr. Pink? (Right now i use a pressure washer) Would be nice if i could use this ryobi tool instead. Ty!
Not entirely sure but you might be able to get some fuel line for lawn equipment or some maybe the hose you would use for fish tanks to make yourself an extended straw
That FXR!!!! 😍😍😍😍
Truck tour!! I just set my truck bed setup up but it’s very unfinished
What a fantastic little item josh could you not attach a snow foam straw into the standard product bottles?
I’ll be testing that and doing a video on mods that can be done soon!
The SOLO sprayer is great and more cheap
This is great for ppl with disabilities.
Wonder if meguiars wheel and tire cleaner can be used without any problem also would love this thing to use on shower glass doors among other in home uses
Water only... makes a great water gun during the summer
JOSH have you tried the ONE+ 18V Cordless Handheld Chemical Sprayer? has a 70 degree spray pattern and use the 18V batteries. It holds 500ML and is under 20$. Great review of the Compact sprayer.
Interesting find and great review.
Thanks for sharing new products for us up and coming detailers 🫡💯
Happy to help, I’m always looking for new tools
Josh. Where did you get your cart? I need one. Also gonna pick up the gun on after the review. Looks like a nice new toy.
Probably off google. Lol
When you set the sprayer down on it's provided base does it stand up without tipping over? Looks interesting for applying spray drying aid like Griots Ceramic Spray Shine.
Yea it stands up with the base it has!
nice if they gave you also a longer hose in case ypu want to use a longer bottle.

Would have been nice if it worked with a foaming wheel cleaner. Hate using a pump sprayer
I wonder if it has viton o-rings otherwise if you use anything with acidic in it it could destroy the o-rings
nice looking product. may look into one. Looked in Canada and I do not see it.
Can you use it with degreaser?
Ryobi does have 3ah usb lithium batteries. Their usb flip light is calibrated for color accuracy and would be good for car detail work. I have it and the usb air pump and like them.
Jax wax ultimate wheel cleaner. It's more on the thick side. Curious to see if it sprays out the fan pttern
Kinda wanna snag one for my wheel bucket and use it for wheels and tires. Hmm
Cool tool
They have a 2 and 3ah battery right now and yes, you can use the battery to charge your phone.
Were the syphon lines super dirty when you opened the box? Mine were dirty and looked like they had been used.it was a sealed box.
What brand is the work cart your using ?
To me, Ryobi went backwards on tech and size. The Solo 260 is more compact and slightly less expensive unless you buy the Obsessed Garage version. As a working tool, I reckon it has its place, but it just seems like the Solo 260 is where it’s at for these types of sprayers.

Did you ever use the one gallon sprayer? I’d be curious to know if that’s a better alternative especially for Rinseless
Why hasn't this product existed before this seems like a no brainer
Is it really that much better than the 1 or 2 liter pump up sprayers? A one or two dozen pumps to spray a liter doesn't seem that much work.
Hmmmm.. This might work. I’m looking for something to spray Wheel/Tire cleaner. Maybe Waterless Wash. It’s not designed for foam, but this would be the way to go on wheel cleaner.
Snow Foam?
Idk about rinseless, not enough volume. But other things, this looks decent for.
What about garden chemicals like bug repellent for plants
Ryobi also makes 3ah usb battery. 2 for $30
Will it work as a foam cannon?
I wish it could hey
I always wonder why the detail guys I watch are using manual spray bottles. Carpel tunnel is real. Take care of your hands!!!
Also it would be good if they sold extra bottles with caps so you can quickly change out your products would be a good idea.
Will this be available in the uk?
Have you seen the new ego pressure washer?
Yep I ordered one and It’s being delivered tomorrow!
Hook a 3.5 feet silicone hose to it and put a 3 liter was container in a backpack and you have utlimate freedom and never a dry squirt.
Will this work for spraying wheel shine?
Did Ryobi discontinue this? Not available on home depot.
I wonder if it's the same quick connect as the cordless pressure washer? If it is u can use the hose from that. It should be fine with longer bottles. When does this come out
It’s out!
This would be killer if you could buy spare bottles and just click them in and out. 1 sprayer. Various chemicals.
Does the qd have shut-off feature (non spilling) when disconnected ? Could see having several bottles on a shelf and one sprayer grab and go.
It does!
Could not find on home depot or Amazon website but did see there car vacuum may purchase it
It’s linked in the description! Most of the stores around me have it so I’m sure they will get stocked in more
Kinda off topic, but is that a fxdxt t sport in the background?
Competitor to Solo sprayer?

Hi, would you try koch chemie pol star in that ryobi sprayer for interior leather seats?
Pol star would definitely work! It’s nice and thin and plus you dilute the mixture. It would be great for that
