Wanted to see this shred all weekend! Shattered this happened after everything, but this is also just how car life goes sometimes.
Wasn't like it was a simple RB swap with a proven setup, its paving new ground with an experimental setup on a very short timeframe with multiple parties involved.
But its just the new beginning for this cursed 200sx haha.
Big thank you Sam for everything, its been alot of hard work and stress but it was worth it.
Means alot to see it back out there with you behind the wheel. 😁

Sad that the team tried so hard all for the engine ground work to not have been done properly. Sounded awesome while it was working, hopefully you can fix er up and keep a similar setup.
It's never fun having to do the back n forth spiderman meme pointing finger but somewhere along the line a mistake or miscommunication took place, I just hope in todays day n age it does get rectified with no big dramas.
Sam, do your due diligence every single time as you have done in the past, check clearances, most of all, never rush it. I'm sure this was a humbling moment as well as a heartbreaking one, but she'll be alright

Lots of lessons learned here, too bad it happened to you and your buddies who worked so hard and so fast to get that car ready in record time. That car is still beautiful and you and all your guys did an amazing job, just sucks it came down to some guy that you PAID to check clearances lying to you (or was miss informed). Oh well time for another cheap single jingle turbo build WOOT WOOOT.
Okay now that I finished the video the only thing I can say is this shit happens to the best of us. Even when your following a solid engine build blueprint with tons of R&D people still run into issues. It sucks it happened to such an awesome build especially with so much sweat and tears into it but I'm sure it will be back better than ever and you got to spend some awesome time with some solid mates.

To the people who called out sams mates bro there good as people who actually care and put alot of time and effort in for sam. They done all that work whilst staying up late, still as soon as sam drifted it that night on the video sams mates put it on there trailer and left to drive to Melbourne proper good people plus its sams good mates from way back from he first was in Australia.

Yea the camera always pics up the engine failure sounds really well for some reason. Always check the camera audio for engine issues i suppose. Glad you still had a blast Sam!🍻✌💗🔷️🛸👍

“Dammit sammit” literally!… You actually covered these aspects of the pistons when you assembled the rb30 sohc back in Japan 🤦🏻♂️I thought something fancy would’ve been done to the pistons in order to run the rotating assembly from DET into NEO DE+T. Compression rings, size, valve clearance! All things I learned from a video of yours only a month or 2 ago LOL.

Hey Sammit. I love it when you big RUclips guys work on these strange to other projects. It really sheds some light on these rare engine builds with great potential. I have an Rb20de Neo from an R34 that I dropped in my C34 Laurel and slapped an RB25det neo turbo on it an it works pretty good. Had a lot of nay sayers. But to hell with them. A little after market support would be great cause after this I can see them blowing up a bit on the market with sales. Head gaskets are the major thing. Wud be EPIC to be able to get a metal head gasket so if your Aussie team is making any get emm to do a few. Cause I'm sure just like you an I they are gonna be a few other people who are trying the build. I did mines in 2017 an it's still going strong. #builtnotbought

Literally watched the outro explanation 3xs and I'm hoping based on everything that was paid out of pocket that the new engine's buildup, along with previously having a valve clearance check, flat-top pistons installation(domed shaped installed, and not fly cut), a dummy fitment to check your new head gasket only for it NEVER to be slapped on in the first place with a compression ratio of 11:1? Suddenly N/A build? Think not! It feels to me like an internal sabotage by the middle guy 😵💫 and it simply sux you and your squad had to bear witness to the end result. Just the same love vid 🔥🔥🔥🔥💯

I say give the engine build idea another go but be in direct contact with the next engine builder. The SX needs to have a chance at redemption. My suspension is the middle person screwed you over and the original engine builder wasn't told the whole story. Those are some great mates you have over there in Australia and we need another event for the SX to shine !!!!

Custom engine builds, it’s an extremely difficult thing to accomplish, not like putting a Lego set together. Been down this road before and as soon as an engine breaks everyone blames everyone else, nobody accepts blame because of the amount of money involved. Hopefully all goes well and it works out for you as I fully understand your pain. You did very well in the Au drifting so that’s a positive ❤

I think the production quality was awesome for the longer style of video but it would be cool to get short update videos on the regular schedule. Bummer about your engine but damn does that 200sx looks good flying around the track.

There should be a drift series like a raceseries where everyone has to use the same engine package. I know it takes away the wide variety we have now but i just feel bad when someone with a 400hp car has to compete against a 600+hp car. How are you supposed to keep up without just running close to no angle? I feel like in some races the car makes too much of a difference apposed to the driver being the detirmining factor.
