The battles between Ma and Mrs. Oleson were epic.

Just love her, I was fortunate and thrilled to have met her last weekend at the 50th anniversary festival, so very gracious. And thrilled she is such an advocate for women's issues and rights!! Go Ma!!

in Italy there is a TV channel where they broadcast it every day, my 89 year old mother and I watch it together, even before that I watched it with my grandmother, I think it's one of the best series they've ever made! 😊I grew up watching her and she left me excellent teachings, values, those that today's world misses so much!❤

I always adored Caroline Ingalls and that was 100% because of Karen Grassle’s portrayal. Wasn’t she the absolute best!!❤PS: I will never forget the episode when Caroline’s leg was infected. I was probably 8-9 yrs old and i remember being so upset. lol. What a relief when she showed up the following week nice & healthy! ❤lol.

Love her work on Little House. Fine actress , fine beautiful person. Quality TV is something I miss from my 70’s youth. I bought the entire series on Blu-ray some years back. Takes me back to those warm times living with my folks and siblings.
I loved the episode of when Carrie falls down a well which in turn was an abandoned mine ahh Carolyn was so good I cried with her when she and Mary were pumping air into the shaft for Carrie what an actress you are Miss Grassle❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

I've always enjoyed Karen Grassle's portrayal of the beautiful and empathetic Caroline "Ma" Ingalls on the show, regardless of the storyline. Truthfully, the episode in which Caroline discovers the whereabouts of her mother's passing still affects me and Ms. Grassle's powerful portrayal of a grieving daughter lends a great deal of believability to the role, I believe. And I really appreciate the look of drive and determination on Caroline's face at 0:40!

That is so true about Patricia Neal's episode, I love this episode. I remember watching this as a child. Patricia Neal was a great actress. I heard that Michael Landon wanted her specifically and waited for her after recovering from a stroke.

Thank you! These are fun to watch. They were basically my life growing up. We lived way out in the country in Wisconsin. No neighbors, no parents around… We had one maybe two channels on the television. In retrospect, it was a very creative, free childhood. But, a Little House on the Prairie was definitely one of my highlights!

My connection to my birth mother: the older 3 siblings called her Ma because of Little House. So now, I can too and my adoptive and birth families know my reference is her. So though my birth family's Ma passed before we truly "met", Ma Ingalls is a common denominator for me and my birth mother. 😊

Back when the show was on everyone thought Ma was the perfect mother with no flaws. Today I realize she's human just like everyone else and makes mistakes. I always liked Catherine McGregor's character of Mrs. Oleson better then Ma. She was funny and more interesting.
