    For 65 years he ruled as Tamriel's Emperor. But for all those years he had never been the ruler of his own dreams. He had seen the Gates of Oblivion, beyond which no waking eye may see. He beheld, in darkness a doom to sweep the land. On the 27th of Last Seed; the year of Akatosh 433 it was the closing days of the 3rd Era, and the final hours of his life.

Certainly if that was the case he would be regarded as one of the greats. We'll have to wait and see...

    Grass is a plant with narrow leaves growing from the base. A common kind of grass is used to cover the ground in a lawn and other places. Grass gets water from the roots in the ground. Grass is usually pigmented with the colour ‘green’. Grasses are monocotyledon, herbaceous plants.
    The grasses include the "grass", of the family Poaceae (also called Gramineae). Also sometimes it is used to include the sedges (Cyperaceae) and the rushes (Juncaceae). These three families are not closely related but belong to different clades in the order Poales. They are similar adaptations to a common life-style.
    The true grasses include cereals, bamboo and the grasses of lawns (turf) and grassland. Uses for graminoids include food (as grain, sprouted grain, shoots or rhizomes), drink (beer, whisky), pasture for livestock, thatching thatch, paper, fuel, clothing, insulation, construction, sports turf, basket weaving and many others.
    Many grasses are short, but some grasses, like bamboo can grow very tall. Plants from the grass family can grow in many places, even if they are very cold or very dry. Several other plants that look similar but are not members of the grass family are also sometimes called grass; these include rushes, reeds, papyrus, and water chestnut.
    Grasses are an important food for many animals, like deer, buffalo, cattle, mice, grasshoppers, caterpillars, and many other grazers. Unlike other plants, grasses grow from the bottom, so when animals eat grass they usually do not destroy the part that grows. Without grass, dirt can wash away into rivers (erosion). Graminoids include some of the most versatile plant life-forms. They became widespread toward the end of the Cretaceous. Fossilized dinosaur dung (coprolites) have been found containing grass phytoliths (silica stones inside grass leaves). Grasses have adapted to conditions in lush rain forests, dry deserts, cold mountains and even intertidal habitats, and are now the most widespread plant type. Grass is a valuable source of food and energy for many animals.Lawn grass is often planted on sports fields and in the area around a building. Sometimes chemicals and water is used to help lawns to grow.
    People have used grasses for a long time. People eat parts of grasses. Corn, wheat, barley, oats, rice and millet are cereals, common grains whose seeds are used for food and to make alcohol such as beer.
    Sugar comes from sugar cane, which is also a plant in the grass family. People have grown grasses as food for farm animals for about 4,000 years. People use bamboo to build houses, fences, furniture and other things. Grass plants can also be used as fuel, to cover roofs, and to weave baskets. n English, the word "grass" appears in several phrases. For example: "The grass is always greener on the other side" means "people are never happy with what they have and want something else." "Don't let the grass grow under your feet" means "Do something". "A snake in the grass" is about a person that will not be honest and will trick others.
    Grass is sometimes used as a slang term for cannabis (also called pot, weed, or marijuana) The Grass type (Japanese: くさタイプ Grass type) is one of the eighteen types. Prior to changes in Generation IV, all damaging Grass-type moves were special, but they may now also be physical depending on the attack. Grass-type Pokémon are immune to Leech Seed. Grass-type Pokémon are immune to Leech Seed Starting in Generation VI, Grass-type Pokémon are immune to powder and spore moves and Effect Spore.Grass types are tied with Rock in having the most weaknesses out of all types with five. Since Generation I, a particular asset of Grass types is being the only type that is immune to Leech Seed. As of Generation VI, Grass-type Pokémon are also immune to powder and spore moves, such as Sleep Powder and Stun Spore. Additionally, Grass Pokémon are the only ones affected by Rototiller and Flower Shield. Those moves raise both attack stats or the physical Defense stat, respectively, when used. Forest's Curse adds the Grass type to the target's types. Grass-type attacks are resisted by seven types, so they're tied with Bug as the most resisted type. Those resistant types are best covered by Rock and Ground. As of Generation VI, Dark and Ghost have neutral matchups against every type that resists Grass. When Grassy Terrain is in the effect, the power of Grass-type moves is increased by 30% (50% prior to Generation VIII) if the user is on the ground.
    Contest properties In contests, Grass-type moves are typically Clever moves, but can also be any of the other four contest conditions. As of Generation VIII, there are 112 Grass-type Pokémon or 12.27% of all Pokémon (counting those that are Grass-type in at least one of their forms), making it the third most common type after Normal and before Flying.
    A Pokémon with Protean or Libero will become a Grass-type Pokémon if it uses a Grass-type move. A Pokémon with Color Change, Imposter, Mimicry, RKS System, or Multitype will become a Grass-type Pokémon if (respectively) it is hit with a Grass-type move, is sent out against a Grass-type opponent, if the terrain is grassy, if it is holding a Grass Memory, or if it is holding a Meadow Plate or Grassium Z. Since Generation VI, Grass-type Pokémon are also immune to Effect Spore; Only Grass-type Pokémon can have these Abilities. This does not include signature Abilities.Due to the decreased amount of types in the TCG, Grass generally adopts all Bug-type Pokémon under its typing. It also adopted Poison-type Pokémon prior to the Diamond & Pearl set, after which they were moved to Psychic. Similar to the games, Grass-type Pokémon in the TCG are generally weak to Fire and resist Water.
    Grass-type Pokémon are strong against Fighting and Water Pokémon, whilst Metal Pokémon resisted it until the EX Power Keepers expansion set. Generation V introduced the most Grass-type Pokémon of any generation, with 21 (including Rotom's Mow form), and Generation VI introduced the fewest Grass-type Pokémon, with nine. Generation I introduced the most Grass-type moves of any generation, with 10, and Generation II introduced the fewest Grass-type moves, with three.
    The Grass type and/or Pokémon of the type have been referred to using the term "plant" instead on some occasions: In the English Generation I games, the Gym guide in Cerulean Gym refers to Pokémon of the Grass type as "plant Pokémon". In the English versions of Pokémon FireRed and LeafGreen, he instead mentions "Grass-type Pokémon". In the Japanese versions of the Generation I games and FireRed and LeafGreen, he mentions the Grass type itself, calling it the "Plant type" (Japanese: しょくぶつタイプ). Another reference to "plant Pokémon" (Japanese: しょくぶつポケモン) is made by Professor Oak in the Japanese Pokémon Red, Green, and Blue, and international Pokémon Red and Blue, classifying Bulbasaur as such when the player is about to choose it as their starter. This is also the case in the Japanese versions of Pokémon FireRed and LeafGreen; in contrast, he calls it the "grass Pokémon" in the English versions. This same reference is also used in the first episode of Pokémon Origins.
    In multiple languages, such as French and German, the Grass type is translated as the Plant type. The Turkish dub of the anime occasionally refers to "Grass type" as "Plant type". The Grass type has the most Pokémon that evolve by Evolution stones, with a total of 11. It is also the type that can utilize the most stones, having at least one Pokémon that can evolve via the Leaf Stone, Sun Stone, Water Stone, and Shiny Stone.The Grass type is the only type to have more than one HP-draining move, having five of them. Grass-type attacks deal doubly super-effective damage to the most Pokémon of all types. Grass-type attacks are super effective against the three types that Fire types are weak to. Fire is the only type that hasn't been paired with Grass. In Tree's a Crowd, Brock states that Grass-type Pokémon resist Electric-type moves due to being able to diffuse the electricity into trees and the ground. He also explains that if Grass types are in the air, they cannot diffuse the electricity from Electric attacks, thereby dealing normally effective damage.
    Now that you have read this much about grass, maybe you should go and touch some...

    • @Obnoxiousteadrinker
      @Obnoxiousteadrinker Год назад +2

      Right so this is what I'm thinking. After the fall of house dagoth most of the surviving members were either killed or absorbed into the houses. Well during let's say a purge one night a single family managed to escape and live in the Ashlands later becoming traders in mounhold hiding their true identity going under the name dayn . As the ages passed by they hid in plain sight but never forgetting their legacy stubbornly planting them selves in their homeland narrowly surviving the Oblivion crisis. The year was 6 of the 4E 20h of rain's hand a morndas an ashy red morndas vyrrin dagoth .... Cough cough sorry dayn vyrrin dayn was tending his mother's stall it was a normal a dull ash-chocked Azura cursed morndas he swore if another S,wit telvanni mage came asking for prized netch dung or another spoiled Redoran brat tries to demand free kwarma eggs because his daddy killed a dremora in the Oblivion crisis he would personally invite sheogorath for cheese and biscuits . Later that evening himself and his family consisting of his mother father and two sisters the older Alena and the other younger Brzennia or just zenni where sitting at the dinner table enjoy the night meal when screaming and alarm bells began to fill the once quiet city of mounhold . He and his father took up arms and ran to the door when a massive argonian kick down the door and stood menacingly in the door frame it was bigger than any lizard they had ever seen covered in fresh dripping blood with a twisted sickening smile on its face. vyrrin along with his father charged blood covered beast with unnatural reflexes the argonian through vyrrin against the wall and grabbed his father's arm stopping his swing " die" it spoke with deep and guttural voice showing its razor sharp teeth and plunging them into his father's throat vyrrin looking up from the floor seeing his father's life blood drained from his neck as the beast gorged on his throat and dropped his lifeless corpse to the ground the the argonian turned to face vyrrin with that sickening grin. vyrrin motioned his mother and sisters to go for the trap door hidden under a rug it was built to lead out of the city in the off chance there true identity was found out his mother open the hatch and climbed down with his sister's tears and horror on their face zenni calling for him as the hatch closed . Left alone with the argonian vyrrin charge this time dodging the lizard and cutting it's left side open vyrrin seeing the injured argonian when in for another strike the scaleback flicked it's tail tripping the young dunmer . Barely able to keep the argonian from eating his face off vyrrin used a flame spell burning the lizard's face giving vyrrin just enough time to get hidden . As vyrrin climbed down locking the latch on the hatch as he did he was embrace by young sister his family was waiting for him "you damn fools you should have left me " vyrrin scolded his family " we a family vyrrin we live and die together" his mother motioned down the underground path "now come on we haven't much time " vyrrin took the lead . As they were making their way they heard a distance sound from the entrance the argonian had broken through "run" zenni screamed as they turn to move they saw the ground above there heads shake as a part of the tunnel collapsed in between vyrrin and his family . Vyrrin dug frantically desperately trying to pierce the rubble as he could hear his family trying to do the same when suddenly he could hear his family screaming begging for his help they had caught up . HE CLAWED AT THE ROCK AND SOIL UNTIL........... Silence vyrrin heart sank he continued digging hoping beyond hope he managed to break through the rubble only to see horror on the other side the the mangled remains of what was his family blood and gore covered the walls.as he fell to his knees he saw the ring on zenni,s finger it was made from ebony and a thin band of ruby he took the ring From zenni finger clutching it to his to chest as he fell to the ground weeping in unimaginable pain . After what seemed to be an eternity he stood up and made a vow to his family that he would take bloody revenge on the lizard folk as he Burned the body's of his mother and sisters to ashes returning them to the soil . Leaving the tunnel he made his way to Redoran territory and joined the local militia over the coming days weeks months and even years he butchered any and all argonians that crossed his path become skilled in flame destruction magic and two handed weapons. After the invasion was halted vyrrin was disgusted with his contemporaries for not pushing forward and retaking mounhold leaving the army he found him self more often then not in a dingy cornerclub known as the lusty Clif racer (don't ask about the name ) drowning him self in sujamma and belmora blue to dull the pain and his senses still haunted by the screaming and the horror of what happened in his dreams vyrrin would end up being kicked out of the cornerclub after a drunken rant about how was the last dagoth and spouting blasphemy about the inn keeper and his imperial wife. Out on the street he became a wander addicted to skooma a ragged wretch of man at this point the word had reach all with ears the Great war had begun choosing to enlist in the imperial army not out of pride or patriotism but for gold (skooma don't grow on trees ya know ) during the war he would meet a dunmer name festis Rendar and became good friends and even skooma brothers. After the war they both returned to morrowind but found it straining at best the red year and argonian invasion had taken its toll on morrowind so they turned west to Skyrim. Festis would die on that trip having fallen ill with a bad flask of skooma burying him at refugees rest vyrrin would take his friends imperial armor along with an imperial banner to his brother Ambarys Rendar who runs the new gnisis cornerclub in windhelm. Ambarys would set vyrrin dagoth up with an apartment in the grey quarter call bal ruhn where vyrrin would now call home mostly spending his time at the cornerclub and cutting wood for coin for that ugly nord hag In candlehearth inn elda. One night in the club vyrrin and ambarys discuss at length about the stormcloaks and the injustice in windhelm vyrrin makes a decision to re join the imperial legion if only to make windhelm better place for his kin after the night was ended about 10 bottles of sujamma later vyrrin would run in to rollf Stone-fist shouting all kinds of racist slurs at him and his fellow dunmer . vyrrin blood began to boil like red mountain its self he explode in to a flame filled rage killing rollf and turning him in to a ashy stain and forcing vyrrin to make with all hast out of the city and off to solitude to join the legion and later fine the truth of his dragonborn destiny and flying lizard killing skills

    Sure, he was in charge when a couple regional things went to shit and handled it respectably enough (i.e. by sending someone else to fix the problem) but did he ever use a _giant fucking robot_ to conquer not only the entire mainland continent of Tamriel, but also it's island territories? Did he ever face off against an unstoppable army of vampire snake samurai and defeat them so epically they swore to serve him and his bloodline for all time? Did he ever get plowed by a demigod while leading a slave revolution that _forever shifted the balance of power between humans and elves on Tamriel?_
    I didn't think so. Sorry, Uriel, but your predecessors were way more fucking metal than you could ever be.

    • @NCRVeteranRanger
      @NCRVeteranRanger Год назад +2

      To be fair, sending a colossal war robot to do your dirty work isn’t any better than sending a living demigod to do it. And while Empress Alessia certainly was charismatic, she relied heavily upon Pelinal & that one minotaur to do much of the military work for her.
      Reman Cyrodiil is probably the only one who did most of the dirty work himself. He didn’t send a demigod or giant robot to do things for him, he did things himself, leading his armies personally.
      It’s why I have far more respect for Reman Cyrodiil than I do for any of the Septims.

    Excuse the gloom! Anyways with the mention of the Warp in the West, or the misleading label of Miracle of Peace, I'd like to say that I feel the event could use a deeper dive on this channel. The name Miracle of Peace implies that the dragon break had people waking up to find "Oh, we're part of Daggerfall now?" But when you read the Warp in the West you find that the event was quite the calamity, with all the fiefdoms between Daggerfall, Wayrest, Orsinium, and Sentinel being laid absolutely to waste by the golden titans doing battle. Eadwyre and Barenziah were celebrating their newfound territory even though they both were quite unsure as to how they got to that point. There were accounts of the land being set ablaze, of people having their eyes burned out, of mass death and destruction and disappearances.
    Point is, the Warp in the West was a big thing that could use more attention.

      Yes, because the perk system is so much fun... Also the Health, Magicka, and Stamina choices. Also the removal of Mysticism. The further dumbing down of the weapons' classifications. The even less choices the player can make for the story. The forced requirement to be a Werewolf to be a member of the "Fighter's Guild". The UI getting even worse than Oblivion. No Acrobatics and Athletics. How the Civil War is just about Blue vs Red.

      @@budakbaongsiah The perk system is fun and logical. The Oblivion system was stupid and overly complex at the same time, especially that "Speech Game".
      The weapon classifications in Skyrim are also more logical and streamlined (though admittedly before Anniversary Edition it sucked certain types of weapons didn't exist like they should've such as Ancient Nord Warhammer & Ancient Nord Mace).
      Also I do agree there should've been at least 1 more choice: The choice/ability to destroy the Thieves Guild and kill all of those disgusting crooks.
      Additionally, the UI in Skyrim is great and far better then Oblivion "hitting air".
      Also what do you mean by Red vs Blue for the Civil War Questline? It's actually pretty in depth.
