      Hi Dale,
      This press has been the perfect addition to the garage. It has handled all my auto & other needs.
      If I used it in a "shop" environment, I would consider the 12 ton model.
      This is the 12 ton - amzn.to/3ub4yMc

    Here's a review when pushing something bigger than a roller blade: They may call it a 6 ton press, but believe me, the only thing that will withstand 6 tons is the JACK! My wife wanted me to change the bearings on her Kia Soul. I told her that they are pressed in and I can't do them because I didn't have a press. She said she didn't want to bring it to a shop and pay over a $1000 to have the front bearings done. She said she would rather buy me a press. She showed me the Vevor 6 ton press, and I said that should be plenty to press out a car bearing. I received the press and assembled it, and bolted it to a table. When I put the car wheel assembly on the press, I soon found out that the support beams do not spread much more than 3 inches apart. I needed at least 6 inches of gap to slide the bearing in. I removed the pins, and cut two pieces of 4x4 square post to use as my bench. I laid them across the top of the angle iron feet. I then placed the orange factory steel pieces over the wood. I got everything all leveled and shimmed and ready to press! Well, needless to say I gave it about 4 pumps, and the entire thing basically folded! Parts went everywhere. The angle iron feet pulled upwards, and split where they bolt to the main body of the press. Long story short, the press body is rated for 500lbs. max, and only the jack itself is rated for 6 tons! If you put any real pressure on that little press, it will fail. It may work in southern states with no rust or road salt, but it fails miserably here on the east coast. Since that factory table only splits apart not more than 4 inches, it clearly is only rated for very small, tiny jobs. I wouldn't recommend doing anything larger than what is shown in this video.

      @RCInsiders  2 месяца назад

      Hi Steve,
      Sorry to hear you had problems with the press.
      I have not had any of these issues with mine & can't find it stated anywhere about 500 lbs for the table/press.
      If you assembled it properly & this happened I would definitely send it back for a replacement or refund. Perhaps you got one with a defect?
      Were you able to get the wheel bearings done?

    • @stevemiller9135
      @stevemiller9135 2 месяца назад

      @@RCInsiders I wasn't saying that the press advertised itself as only able to support 500lbs. It clearly says it's a 6 ton. The frame itself in NO way can handle 6 tons of force. I can't say for sure how much pressure I applied to the press when trying to push out the car wheel bearing. All I know is that it the bearing didn't budge, but the press folded. I think I will mention this to the guy on Project Farm. He tests all sorts of things on his channel. He would be able to tell us exactly how much pressure that little press can handle.
