Sherrilyn is very impressive! Loved her comments and her metaphors.
She’s all about black grievance. I’m tuning out, sorry.
She has every right to!
Tuning out is the problem..people need to tune in, not only to the public debate, but to the inner knowing of who we are as homo sapiens and not animalistic dodo birds.
Wonderful panel. And WOW. Ifill is great. And I’m a white moderate male.
These panels are way too short.
People have a negative image of things like public transportation and public schools because of their outcomes and conditions, not because people that look like you are in them.
That may be the case in America, but in proper Western societies such as the Nordic countries, people have a very different view of public transport and schools. They're just much more civilized!
@andrewthomas695 uhh could it be that people have different experiences with public transit and schools in Nordics?* You seem to have missed the point
I am an 81 year old female democrat and I love My Country. I fear the narrow minded Conservative Party that wants to take away our rights and freedoms. I think it would be nice if the internet was a better platform for people to share concerns and hopes, but it will be an uphill struggle to try to reach that goal.
VOTE BLUE AND STOP THE LYING CROOKED REPUBLICANS AND SAVE OUR COUNTRY 💙 🇺🇸 🙏
Yeah these people are totally qualified to opine. But, free speech is free speech.
Thank you for providing us with this wisdom.
Great ideas!!♥️
Apathy is one of the American populace’s biggest problems.
18:28 AMEN! AMEN! AMEN! PREACH IT!
21:32 not all of us who are over 65. We are a group of people who are not a monolith of life experiences.
How about you have Eric Kaufman and Peter Boghossian at next year's talk.
Just give Eric and Peter the nuclear codes 🚀
Nah.
After 9/11, there was a federal law that said there could be no more than 2 people together on bicycles; and of the course the pandemic prohibited people from making contact. Speaking together is suspect.
Land of the free and the... Oh, wait..
Brain Tyler Cohen is excellent at reporting the obvious. The facts.
Bravo
Some law school professor. Howard U law school bar exam pass rate was 55%, second lowest in American law schools. Why is she on the stage?!
Gosh, the panel didn’t need to get dressed up just for this event.
A group of people that is represents perfectly the polarisation in discourse and privileged living that they bemoan others do and have. That aside:
The sadest moment for me was when Sherrlyin Ifill proclaimed that democracy only started in 1954. That reveals a total lack of knowledge and education about the evolution of democracy since Greece (and before).
Also, if I were to look from the other side - let's say a truckdriver from Louisiana living a traditional family model (no matter if black or white), I would be shocked - and, if anything, even more encouraged to vote for Liar-In-Chief Trump.
signed off on the 'Men get on board' comment. Just more identitarianism from that woman.
It’s not identity politics simply because a demographic was mentioned. Chill out
What do you call this the negative Network
Maybe most people irrespective of race, gender, sexuality, culture or ideology are just not a bit awful. We love to consider ourselves virtuous, but we really just hypocritical.
Yes ! Mike !
Kara Swisher....keep burning that torch. Hey people, put down your damn phone and start talking to people; especially the ones you don't like....and attend to you own inner Gestalt.
@$$pent
Seat belts good. Being forced by law to wear them questionable.
Canada you have to wear them and most people do ! The statist prove survival rates doesn’t seem questionable to me ! Americans can’t seem to give up guns even when children are getting gun down now that is questionable! Seems to me maybe you should really realize what laws are for to keep people safe !
You’re not being forced to wear them. You’re being forced to not become a projectile that kills someone else. Also, you are not being forced. Stop whining about consequences for actions you take
U people are the Problmes! FYL!$$$
Why the sunglasses though?
7:21 Anne Applebaum is the furthest thing from woke? Completely discredited himself with that statement.
We need new candiiidates. Get rid of 45 and Joe ! Newsom Harris is a winning ticket for both sides
Horrible. Never any self-reflection from the political elites.
Like for calling out Musk. The guy is a clown and pathetic.
Not far right just getting back to center from far far left
this is pure DEI!
News bulletin: there is no white privilege or structural discrimination. Until recently minorities were given preferential treatment for college admissions and still given preferential treatment in corporate hiring. If blacks weren’t obsessed with the past and being black they might do better. That, plus work fifty plus hours a week for forty years like I did. That is just routine for most of us.
Maybe don’t say “blacks” if you don’t wanna out yourself as an old boomer racist
Vile comment
Sorry ifill, but black people today need to work positively to resolve their own grievances. Black on black crime in my community is not anything I should be asked to subsidize.
Subsidize?
I’m sure you’re happy to subsidize schools vouchers
Take your sunglasses off
man hating swisher
I love people of privilege telling us what the rest of us are going through. It's an opinion. We all have opinions.
But this is a panel of people that live in upscaled neighborhoods. They probably don't even put gas in their car. They're probably have people do it for them.
When was the last time David Brooks Went to the grocery store.and there all selling something.
Where Thomas sowell. Where is the regular working guy. Those are the people you need to interview. We all know where the New Yorker guy is going to say. His ideas ruin everything
dem wusses
What if the most insufferable, smug midwits got together to out-do each other with nonsense takes? Now we know.
woke panel 🤢🤮
Wow not everything caters to you specifically, who knew
@@franjkav the fact that it caters to ANYBODY is a travesty
