Despite a rough start, I liked Tami and John's friendship which were able to keep going, perhaps off and on but still stayed in touch all these years later
I was a big fan of this show from seasons 1 through 9. It's interesting looking back on this series. Jon always stood out to me, even twenty years later. I'm in my mid-thirties. I'm like man where did the time go after watching this haha. He really stood out from the rest of his cast. Great season! Good guy!
I have to say, Tami was being very rude to Jon BEFORE he made the trash comment. Putting down the fan club and saying "that boring little hick town." What's up with all the put downs? What the hell did he do to her for her to be so rude to him? So she was being nasty to him FIRST and he gave it right back to her. Good for him.
I loved this show!! Don’t remember the scene in the RV. Jon was a thousand percent wrong for calling her trash but she made fun of him first. Was he supposed to just take it?
I think he was joking.... Remember this is the second season of the very very first actual reality show. They were digging for drama on every word that these kids said. It's actually really funny to look at back at it now and see how trashy TV is compared to how it got started lol.
2:40 I have said it before. She was very harsh with her statement, I cant see how she wouldn't expect a harsh come back. I think she was being sarcastic but I am sure that did not sit well with him after she said it and I believe he just gave back what she dished out. Seemed pretty even to me. But the thing is, she knows she isnt trash, so it really shouldn't be offensive for ANYONE to say it. He on the other hand seems very critical of himself and obviously doesn't feel he is good enough for a fan club and laughs at the idea of a fan club and for her to instantly reply that he should laugh at the idea and just because a small group of people from his town play fandom on his behalf doesn't me the rest of the world would even acknowledge him if he had the reach. I am sorry, but she deserved that and I can not believe she would get that offended and act like she didn't deserve it. If someone punches me in the face when I am feeling good and chill, I am sure gonna punch them back. But I wouldn't expect them to cry and act like they didn't have it coming and that I am the aggressor. Especially when that person knows it isnt in my character to be that. She was wrong for that.
My fav was Aaron. This is when life was real on TV they just don't make shows like that anymore. I remember jon would drink kool aid all the time. 1 of the best of the real world's. Miss watching these kind of shows. Beth s always got on my nerves. Kudos to jon still staying country!
I was thinking the same. TV is practically based on social media. It's interesting how a reality shows work now. I think the real world and real housewives did a great job with type of format.
Check out the Rick and bubba University podcast. You can look up John's name... Its recent I guess it was to promote the reunions for their real world season. Great interview.
Those were nice roommates. I would've been like "I don't like country. I'm not going. Garth Brookes left a message for ya', he wants his wardrobe back!"
Good cast but lacking that one personality that did anything outside the show that I know of. Like season 1 had Eric and season 3 had Puck. Then eventually one of the later years had Miz. Jon sure had big dreams tho and a great voice for country music
Being someone from Owensboro I always thought it was lame that MTV picked the 1 cliche guy that walked around in a cowboy hat and sang country music from here to represent Owensboro. In reality Owensboro is a city of 100K people from every race and background
Jon is the quintessential “real world” cast member. Kids looking for 15 mins of fame and to extend it to 20, 30, 40, mins, or whatever. And, if I’m not mistaken, they all went from an obscure 15 mins of fame to oblivion. Hey. What the hell? They took a shot. Having said all that. Let’s face it. Nobody trusts a “”singer” that can’t play guitar and doesn’t write songs any more than he trusts a skinny chef or baker.
The RV road trip with Tami John and Dom became the predecessor to Road Rules.
I would LOVE to see a Homecoming with the first season of Road Rules. That was such a great cast.
Despite a rough start, I liked Tami and John's friendship which were able to keep going, perhaps off and on but still stayed in touch all these years later
John is my fav cast member of any season! 🤠🤠🤠🤠

Exactly.
Jon in LA reminds me of the Midnight Cowboy in NYC: Totally out of place
Now that is a funny comparison. Come pray with me Jon Buck!
I loved this show!! Don’t remember the scene in the RV. Jon was a thousand percent wrong for calling her trash but she made fun of him first. Was he supposed to just take it?
I think he was playing as well

2:45 lmao ! Her feelings got hurt QUICK!! 🤣🤣🤣
She started it

It's the classic "say something offensive" then get offended when people throw it back at you.
Gosh i love Dominic! Wish he did some challenges.
I liked it when Jon would yell "Beeeeæth" when he'd call out for Beth in the house 😭
Same. 😊
I honestly don’t think John meant anything by the trash comment he seemed so sweet to me
He didn't mean anything. Tami was being so rude and throwing shade. She couldn't handle when he clapped back at her.
@@thetruesoulofanaquarius9302 Right!
Jon, a cowboy male person who is into country most often.
Tami was a hater at first. Im glad they ended up being friends at the end and still close.
“Nice sweet love” 😭😭

Aaron was hot!
@@julieann4616 sure was!!
John was just 18.
miss very much
I wonder what happened to "Slow Burn"
It's a super low budget film that was actually made with a different actor. I remember finding it years ago and it was awful.
Jon was special indeed! Lol Good 👍 guy tho. KY>CA
He's a pastor now.
Omg really

Those black sunglasses do absolutely nothing for Tami.
She was prob hung over
Those were nice roommates. I would've been like "I don't like country. I'm not going. Garth Brookes left a message for ya', he wants his wardrobe back!"
True story ❤ beeettttthhhh
The original yodel kid
Emo cowboy 🤠 🖤
MTV is Music videos?
Tami needed therapy, not the Real World
Contrary to people's beliefs there is a triving black community in Owensboro Kentucky
Good cast but lacking that one personality that did anything outside the show that I know of. Like season 1 had Eric and season 3 had Puck. Then eventually one of the later years had Miz. Jon sure had big dreams tho and a great voice for country music
What do you mean? Tami is still working to this day.
Technically season 2 had Dave.
Tami…..she’s done a LOT after her season. She’s the only relevant one in my opinion, besides Beth.
David has appeared in movies, Beth works in show biz, Tammy has appeared on several TV shows
You dont know much.
I always thought Beth A. was super beautiful.
Tami lighten up
Tami playing the victim, when she started the fight.
Tami needed attention that's it
Being someone from Owensboro I always thought it was lame that MTV picked the 1 cliche guy that walked around in a cowboy hat and sang country music from here to represent Owensboro. In reality Owensboro is a city of 100K people from every race and background
Yeah but they specifically wanted a country singer from Kentucky 🤷♂️🤔
Hits different now realizing it's scripted/highly edited.
This show wasn’t scripted.
Def. NOT scripted!!
scripted? no. but several cast members have said it’s heavily edited
Tammy is not trash,,,,black woman are beautiful,,,,
Black women are generally the least sought after demographic on dating sites.

Jon blew his dreams with his ignorence. He should have wrote songs and learned to play guitar a bit more. He could have been great.
