  • Imagine a world where the government controls every single thing thing you see and say online. A world where they oversaw every social media platform and who is allowed to use it.
Every trending topic is tightly moderated and any opinion or voice of reason that disagrees with the government is permanently banned.
That may sound like a dystopian world straight out of a novel like 1984, but we are getting closer to that reality than you might think.
In this video we will cover the current challenges with content moderation in social media and how decentralized content moderation offers a real solution.
If you care about your freedom of speech online, this is a must watch video!

The only problem with this approach is the spam. Otherwise I like the idea of moderating all the content myself. If you don't want to see something - just ban/block this user and move on, I like this approach, but many people will probably disagree with me and they want that some guy they don't know filter the content for them.

I believe the problem is very clear. The target audience for this is large enough. It all boils down to the specific execution. We are all waiting to see how all these solutions will work in practice. Many of them have failed because they were not user-friendly enough.

Did you just contradict yourself with saying diamondapp censors certain viewpoints?

To create an account you need to provide your phone number or send crypto to some address. Really looks like a scam from outside.
Not sure how this social network will attract new users with such approach.

You don't have to give a phone number. And you can get free deso. That's only to slow down bots, which is a good thing.
