  • Its chapel is one of the jewels of modern architecture in Chile and was built between 1962 and 1964 and located on the San Benito de Los Piques hill, an island hill in the Las Condes district. It is an amazing set of prisms, cubes and parallelepipeds joined through their sides and vertices. Two cubes of light make up the main space that contains the altar and the place where the faithful are located.
The most remarkable thing about this work is that it was carried out by its own users, the monks and architects, Gabriel Guarda (RIP) and Martín Correa. Both developed the project through intense study, using large scale models to see the lighting effects, which are its main feature.
