mismanagement of torpedoes. Why launch 3 racks when 1 is enough
Several times it was the launch of 2 or 3 sets that sunk a ship, not all torps from 1 set are guaranteed to hit. Some BB players have mastered the wizardry of the WASD skill.

NO CVs, No subs. No Radar ships in range. Bunch of big boys try to roll into a cap area early match. For Randoms, that's a unicorn round for torp boats. He was basically invisible the entire match unless opening up with the guns. This ship is even more situational than the Jinan given the lack of smoke and only ok guns. Looks like a light cruiser in size. 6.3 detection for a DD is pretty bad. Radar is nice, but you radar up a serious DD gun boat, and you better have backup ready to assist. Again, the ship is just way too situational. And I would to know how much of a loss in credits occurs when a supership goes down that early in a match with no real damage delt.

King of the kings is the Yamagiri.
I wouldn't trade the 0.8km Deepwater Torps + Radar&TorpReload for +3 Torps with way worse concealment and slower speed
The reaction time to Kunming torps is ~4 seconds
The 12km of Yamagiri is ~9 seconds and 14.5 seconds for the 20km ones
I would rather take Kunming as a torp boat
Gun DPM is about the same tho

roughly the same gun DPS as Yamagiri but imo the Torps are better since Deepwater (0.8km detection)
Can't hit DDs but you got Radar for that to get some sneaky dmg on Gunboats. If you are exposed, you should avoid gunboats tho. You could win against them but I would not take a fight head on. Its best to have a Div Mate who can take on the DDs you spot with your Radar.
You can handle the rest with your amazing set of 3x5 Deepwater torps xD

Shimakaze ist der Torpedo König 3x5 610 mm, das hat der angeblich neuer Torpedo König sicherlich nicht.

Als Torpedoboot ist die Halland/Dalarna und die Kunming trotzdem besser als die Japaner.
Klar haben die Japaner mehr Torps die auch etwas mehr schaden machen, aber die Torpedosichtbarkeit und die Geschwindigkeit ist der größte Müll.
Die Japaner Torps mit ihrer Schneckengeschwindigkweit von 62 kt und der Erkennbarkeit von 2.5km sind müll.
Die Hallandreihe hat nur 1.8km dafür aber die 85+ kt Geschwindigkeit.
Die Deepwater Torps der Kunming sind mit 0.8km und leicht höherer Geschwindigkeit (69kt) deutlich besser gegen alle anderen Ziele und du hast trotzdem 3x5 Werfer. Für Zerstörer hast du Radar und die DPS der guns ist genau so gut wie die der Yamagiri
Shimakaze ist mittlerweile nur noch nen durchschnittsschiff was Torpedos angeht
3x5 533mm mit 0.8km Sichtbarkeit (1.7km weniger als Shima) und 7kt mehr, das hat der angebliche Torpedo König Shimakaze sicherlich nicht
