- Visit www.primalearthimages.com. Best viewed in full HD. This timelapse features my best work yet. It represents hours and hours of dedication to the art. I'm driven by chasing fleeting moments of damatic light on beautiful landscapes and also capturing the night sky and milky way in all it's glory is a real buzz. Not be mention curling up out under the stars beside all the gear for whole nights at a time catching some sleep here and there between checking the gear and changing batteries and staring up into eternity with spectacular meteors burning up in the cosmic shore out the corner of your eye. Doing this sort of thing has bought me closer and closer to the wilderness. There is something about doing this sort of stuff that just makes you want to keep coming back for more and more. Maybe it's the experience of being out there at one with the incredible beauty of this landscape. Maybe it's the challenge of capturing it in the camera in the way that you witnessed it. Maybe it's the excitement of seeing just what you got when you finally render it all out. Maybe it's the satisfaction you get out of showing this to other people. Most probably it's a combination of all these things.

Still watching this a few times a year since about 8 years ago. I would come back to this video often back in my uni days if it was all getting a bit overwhelming and I needed a bit of a reset. My all-time favourite series of timelapses. Thank you!

Great imagery. I spent a great amount of time photographing wilderness night skies a few years ago; what a great time and experience! Often, the photography seemed like an excuse to spend the night out enjoying the expansiveness, quiet, solitude, etc. Great work! Thanks for sharing it.

That was many shades of awesome. As a photo enthusiast, I can appreciate the huge amount of time this must have taken. Plus I love that technique of moving the camera(tripod) -- that alone must required an incredible amount of patience.

Your images remind me why so many try to replicate natures beauty through fireworks. The vastness of our existence, continually being narrowed and darkened, seemingly walling ourselves off with our little lights. The distant light capturing our galaxies edge,constant motion of our planet and the firefly like trailing specs of dust skipping off our atmosphere. All are dimmed each time we "turn on" a light. Our atmosphere's density is continually increased with our need to travel faster and further, thereby forever shrinking our view of the abyss and glory that matter, dark matter, and space are. Thank you for reminding me why I looked up as a child. Your research must be an awful lot of fun. Hope to visit soon, our son is migrating.
