The sad truth of this situation is that if Depp was recorded saying the things that Heard has been recorded saying, this would have been an open-and-shut case and it'd have been closed a year ago. The fact that it's still ongoing just shows how much protection and privilege women have when it comes to claims of abuse, even when those claims are unfounded lies.

    • @thiamay7927

My brother wound up in this situation. His ex engineered a situation in an attempt to get him to strike her. When he just stood there she beat him, and scratched him, and yelled for their children to come help HER. Their son saw the whole thing happen, but sadly, their older daughter only saw the end, when he tried to push himself out of a corner and get away from her. Now, that poor 14 year is scared of her own father... and the rest of our family. But, he did get a restraining order, which she promptly violated numerous times. And despite him calling the local PD to enforce said restraining order, not once would they. Then, when he complained to the State police that the local PD wasn't doing their job (he had legitimate fears for his life from this woman) the local PD started harassing him.
The last year has been a nightmare, and victims services are a joke if the victim is a male. We literally had an attorney laugh at us and tell us we were on our own.
      It's a sick sick world.

    This feels so bad..
I had a fiance once. She was so toxic, that I became suicidal and had to go to the psychiatric hospital for a couple of weeks.
Every time we had an argument, she went nuts in seconds. Hitting, kicking and biting me. When I told her, I would call the cops, she said: "Who do you think they will belive? The tall guy, or the sweet girl? I can play the victim card all day long." And I knew she was right. She locked us in, when we had a fight, so I couldn't leave for a walk. Her argument was, that she was afraid, I would not come back to her. When I said I would leave her, she threatened to destroy my reputation (which she then did anyways with framing me in several ways). She also raped me once (and yes. this is possible, if you are in deep love, because your mental state is f*** because of months of manipulation) When I recorded some of our fights, she stole my cell phone and deleted the evidence...
When I went to the police, reporting the rape, they just let it go. Saying: "This is an... unusual accusation." Then telling me that they would have no time to deal with it. Letting it go several weeks after, because "it is not reasonable."
That made me angry, so I published my video dairy from this time, where I talked about ALL the details. She sued me for defamation and won...without me given the chance to speak in court ONCE! The judge just belived her argument with the only evidence being her word. I showed several fotos of bruices and bites in my forearm with the background showing our flat at the time. But because I did not went to a doctor (which I didnt know was a thing in such cases), they did not count.
I got convicted for defamation with almost 2 monthly salaries.
When I asked my lawyer how this is possible, he simply said: "I'm sorry. But you're a white male."
This woman stole 2 - 4 years of my life (depends on the definiton) until I was able to live happy again...
In Germany (where I live) every 7th accusation of violence from female to male leads to a conviction.
From male to female, it is every 200th. (source: statista.com)
Today I'm fine. I live happy with a true gem of a wife. I could let go. I also have a very well payed job that fulfills me almost completly. But seeing footage like this brings back memories...
I don't say that feminism is bad. I don't want to decrease women's rights or that we do not take their accusations seriously. But we should be aware of the fact, that in western countries, we are at a state, that when a woman wants to destroy a mans life - she can.... Beauty doesn't mean good person. There are VERY toxic, beautiful women out there. And for a greenhorn, there hard to spot, because some of them have the ability to make a great first impression (also by character)
So we should listen very carefully to accusations - not judging to early by race, gender or traceability.
That's all I'm saying. Have a good one.

After being arrested, held in jail despite having no record, incurring attorneys fees and having his life, career and reputation turned to absolute shit- the charges were dropped as they were found to be baseless. Hooray! Except he's been shattered by this, to his core. He's trying to put himself back together but he'll never be as he was before.

I just remember the time when Terry Crews tried speaking up about his sexual abuse, the MeToo movement just laughed at his face and tried cancelling him, accusing him of 'taking attention away' from women. This same shit happened to actor Kit Harrington. During an interview, he revealed the times he had to 'remove his shirt' during auditions. But AGAIN, the MeToo mob mocked him and tried cancelling him since they felt his experiences 'weren't the same' as women's. As a result, Kit had to APOLOGIZE.
To this day, I'm appalled by what had happened to these men. Both men had been victims of abuse, yet were SHUNNED by those CLAIMING to fight for justice. Holy shit, was I pissed off. I'm hoping this Depp vs Heard case finally addresses the problems the MeToo movement failed to acknowledge. This isn't just about 'Hollywood' or 'rich-folks problems'. This about letting ALL VICTIMS be heard and find justice, no matter if they're a low-waged father or a Hollywood A-list star.

Thorvald in my case, I survived more than 10 years of abuse in the hands of my father who is dead now (2017, deceased, cancer). When I reached 21, I left home, I never returned and I never talked to him again. I know what abuse is and how narcissistic abusers are, my father was one. When AH started her circus I knew she was lying but this trial, this awful trial showed me that creatures like her are rare and of another level, a higher level of manipulation, deception and lies. Sometimes I was so afraid of her eyes that I froze! I realized without any doubt that she planned to kill JD but her plan crashed. On the day she chopped off his finger, she fell from the horse. The audios proved to me she realized that too: "I went too far... I exaggerated it... he will escape my claws...". I felt like I was reading her thoughts. And in that realization, I felt he dodged a bullet, a suicide or even an overdose. She was trying to drag him into a darkness that would destroy his psychic, he would use more drugs and alcohol and those pills... and die. She would them pose as "the abused woman of an addicted and failed actor, a loser..."... she would make millions with the tragedy: interviews, magazines, TV shows... maybe a Publishing House would offer her some $$$ if she accepted to sign a contract with them and write her story with JD... imagine the situation. Something like "Elvis x Priscilla" or maybe, Courtney Love*s tragedy? Perhaps "Yoko Ono and John Lennon"? She lied about "never being a fan of JD'. Her schoolmates said that's another lie of AH. When she was a teenager her bedroom was filled with his pictures and she had "an altar for him". And I was in awe after hearing it! Stunned even... "what type of psycho is that?!" I am sorry. But I can't believe a word she says. Her entire life is a lie, and the more we dig the past, we discover more dirty secrets. The story of her relationship with Valentino Lamús, who said a lot about his relationship with her, "it was was painful and dark..." she broke up with him in 2006! She has been in this game for many many years... she is an expert by now! I am not a fan of any actor, I don't have such "idols". But the reason I hate her now is simple: she is humiliating me, all of us who suffered in the hands of abusers and I find her behavior despicable. I despise this creature like I never ever thought I would despise someone. She is really another level of evil and deception. I pray God save that child from her. I fear for that poor innocent soul... :(

I had my arm broken, got beaten and almost choked to death. Not a single one of these instances led to any consequences for the girls involved, one of these things happened in front of my entire class and my teacher proceeded to not even believe that it had happened. So partly because they were girls and partly because nobody seemed to think they deserved repercussions, I brushed these things off myself. It wasn't until I started to experience serious posttraumatic stress that I realized hm, I was physically assaulted and they got away with it because they were female. If that had been boys.. you know it would've been a different story. It isn't women per say Bibi... It is people and their affiliation with a governing group. Liberals do not possess the part of the brain that processes logic and thus the overwhelming double standards of what is okay for me is not okay for someone else. Sadly, the vast majority of women are liberals. Now there are men that are liberals too, but not like the large percentage that are women. I started noticing this long ago when I was going to political rallies. Not a single woman at a democrat rally was above a 7. If you really want to see stunning looking women, go to a republican rally where there isn't a single woman less than a 7.
There are women that possess the logic part of the brain, don't get me wrong. I'm in an industry that logic is 100% required. And yes, there are token women that are offered job positions that struggle to keep the job. But the women that do well are also the most attractive too. Surprising how that works. But men outnumber women in my industry 9 to 1.

Not only that but Heard shows a lot of signs of having a borderline personality disorder (which dips into histrionic as well) and for any men that have been with a woman who has BPD they can attest that it is very difficult to leave those relationships as about 80% of the relationship ends up being really good, until the woman feels she is being abandoned in ANY regard, real or perceived, then that other 20% is utter hell.

How can a woman as small as Amber Heard act like she is anything like capable of standing up to even a dude the size of Johny Depp if Johny Depp EVER laid a hand on her in anything like anger? Wither or not it is right or wrong to do so it should be clear that a woman who has faced someone who can physically pick them up and throw them like a rag doll would act like Amber does if she ever truly faced that fact. Amber Heard acts like someone who is completely unaware of exactly how careful men have to be not to hurt women and children around them. Women who have suffered physical abuse at the hands of a man do NOT act that way no matter what other ways they may cope with that reality they are aware of that basic reality.

Because he is a manly man, he feels too embarrassed and ashamed that a woman who weighs less than half of him and is over a foot shorter is abusing him. His pride and worry for others keeps him from reaching out for help. As a society, we've really built up this idea that women cannot be the aggressors against men, and this needs to stop. Wow... At 16 minutes, you mentioned about Johnny replacing his abusive mother with an abusive spouse...... I thought about it, and it hit me like a freight train. I essentially did the same thing. My mom was abusive growing up with the last incident was when I was 16 with her grabbing my hair, slamming my head back and forth and then shoving it into the back of the chair, and when my head came back to upright, she snapped a wet towel in my eye. I got up, and JUST about knocked her out.
Fast forward to my marriage, she slapped the shit out of me several times in our relationship, once she was acting so terrible toward me, I decided to get drunk. Then she got pissed because i drank and threw me down a stairway, though I didn't fall, and then slapped me several times, i ended up in detox and lost my job the next day. All the way up to nearing the end of our marriage, she was talking badly about me to all "our" friends saying i was controlling and abusive, and we would go to an "event" with friends and just before we get there she would start some ridiculous thing by pushing my buttons. We would walk into said event, and she would make a comment stating how out of the blue i was mean to her, and i would correct her with obvious anger in my voice, and Instantly look like the complete ass she made me out to be. Well, needless to say, I am glad that our marriage is over, and glad that she didn't follow thru with ruining my life legally in the process because she knew deep down that none of it was true, and that in fact she was the aggressor and the violent one in this whole thing. Well, thank you for that wonderful insight. It seems easier to understand what had happened after the fact and when someone else had the same issue.

As someone who suffered from abuse hearing about Johnnys childhood and how it reflected in adulthood got me in the feels. Like it reminds me of me and it kinda hurts, but its good to know i learned to cope with it in a healthy manner and learned to stand up to or avoid toxic abusers. I hope he does too. Poor guy. People say "just walk away" or "stop dating toxic people" but its not that easy it takes dealing with some serious demons to overcome the ingrained patterns of your life, youre literally crippled on a spiritual and fundamental level. People abused as kids see abuse as the NORM and equate abuse as LOVE since theyve been taught from birth that when theyre abused that "This is what love is" often reinforced by gaslighting by the abuser also whispering in their ear from a young age "THIS is what love is" or "THIS is what you deserve" all this before their minds and identities have even fully developed, so It begins to grow alongside and within you, to shape you, and it festers inside you and like a poisonous vine or cancer become intertwined with who you are and your very identity. Its also why some abuse victims become abusers later on, theyre showing the "love" they experienced growing up. For many its literally all they know, its literally the only "love" they've ever received. Most abuse victims dont stand a chance. Abusers and victims have been literally rewired on a core level. Like an alcoholics body adapts to crazy levels of alcohol to the point quitting cold turkey can be fatal (look it up) so to do abusers and victims adapt to the abuse being the norms of their lives to the point they cant function or feel sane without it unless theyre broken from the cycle. The rehab and healing from such a cycle is NOT easy theres a reason abuse and victim cycles are often intergenerational. Deeply rooted cycles are hard to break. I hope he breaks his like i broke mine.

I grew to enjoy it. It's a form of Stockholm syndrome I think. Your brain realises it's not going to get out, so it tricks itself into enjoying it as a way to cope and continue to survive for the meantime until you can actually see a clear escape route.
Then if you are ever able to see your chance and finally flee, the old trauma/Stockholm patterns are still there so abusers become appealing. Plus, the previous abuser has eaten away at your self-esteem so you just end up thinking you don't deserve any better, that you deserve the crap treatment. Mixed with the added desire to try and resolve your old trauma with someone new, like, "Maybe this time this new abusive person will actually love and approve of me." And you think that way because you think there's something wrong with you, not them. You're the problem and maybe if you can be what they want they'll finally love and approve of you, but you can never be what they want because it's them, not you. You just can't accept that because you're indoctrinated.

You have been a rare voice that stands up for men for a long time. As a male survivor of abuse at the hands of women, I know first hand what this is like. it's so important to me to find people who acknowledge that this is a problem - most importantly, other _women_ who acknowledge this is a problem. By virtue of your gender, you are "expected" to take the woman's side - of *course* a man would take a man's side so we can't trust what men say about men - but to see a woman take a man's side is in some ways validation that what we are experiencing is wrong, full stop. This is akin to the imposter syndrome that some people with mental illness and high levels of insight feel when they are coming to terms with their problems.
I am pleasantly surprised to see that at long last, a man is almost getting a fair shake. I mean, a real fair shake would be Amber Heard facing charges for the acts of domestic violence SHE ADMITTED TO, as well as the false allegations that she has no evidence of, or evidence that she fabricated with fake bruises. So, we're not quite there at "fair shake" yet, but hey progress right?
Just recently they discussed how Mr. Depp alleged in a text that he cut his own finger off with a knife. I don't know how anyone can't recognize that as his version of "I fell down the stairs".
That said, I'm not getting my hopes up. Mr. Depp is about one of the calmest people, from what I can see. There is no evidence he did anything to her. There is plenty of evidence that she has been an abuser in the past and was abusing him. She is on tape admitting as much. This case is about as close to the ideal case for a male victim as you can get. But it only takes one juror who believes that men can't be victims to tank this case. The odds are at least one member of that jury believes such garbage.

In marriage #2, my then wife liked to throw heavy items, and was damn good at it. I learned how to duck. Later, during marriage #2, I was retained by an attorney (I am, among other things, a published author and ghost writer) to research a book on battered men. What I learned convinced me to just leave it alone, as courts seldom believe men about being battered. So, yeah. Its real, and nobody believes it.

These idiots will often reward the "Pretty Girl" bad behavior, because they know that she can leave whenever she wants, and have someone else in 2 seconds.
This results in "Pretty Girl" living in an environment where anything she does is met with positive reaction. She grows up to believe that her actions are infallible, because nobody decided to call her out or challenge her.
Amber Heard legitimately believes that she is a victim in all of this.

Thank you. I didn't follow this case but it bothered me because so many things reminded me of my own abuser, including twisting words around to make herself the victim. I was a child with an abusive mother and I saw her be abusive to my dad as well. Yet when I got older, and tried to speak up about it, it was horrifying to find out that unless I had stated otherwise, people would assume my dad was my abuser and were supportive of me "leaving him" and "not speaking to him", but as soon as I corrected that my mother was my abuser, suddenly I was a brat and needed to make amends with her because "She's your mother" and "she's the only one you've got". This woman made the first half of my life so miserable that I thought everyone's lives would be better off if I didn't exist. This woman thought it was okay to beat the shit out of me over something so miniscule and often expected of children, but I should "forgive her" because she's my mother, but if it had been my dad who did this, then it would've been okay to slander him and cut him out of my life? That's unfair and compleatly fucked. Then to watch my dad struggle and come to terms that he himself was a victim of abuse and how he was supposed to deal with that in a world where "he's a man so he can't be an abuse victim" has been heart-breaking because he deserves to be able to come out against his abuser too.

That is so damned true. My mother abused me and my siblings badly growing up, and to this day, when I share with people that I was abused as a child, it's "How horrible, how dare anybody do that kind of stuff to their own kids...", but as soon as I mention it was my mother that abused us, and also abused our father, they usually respond with a version of, "You should forgive her, she's your mother...". My response usually is, no, she's not my mother, never was, and I don't have to forgive such a wicked dog for the hell it put me through. But I definitely feel your pain, and I get it.

    • @hectorzero8545
      @hectorzero8545 2 года назад +8

I think youre misunderstanding what people mean when they say to forgive her. I had an abusive mother as well. Forgiveness doesnt mean that what she did was ok or that you have to keep allowing them to abuse you. Its letting go of the anger so that they lose their power over and so you dont become like them, to come to terms that it happened and realize that even though they did monstrous things that it means they probably have serious mental issues and are acting out a cycle of abuse they also probably were part of as kids. I still love my mom but i recognize she abused me horribly and that I can never allow her to do those things again and need to "love her from a distance". She has issues and until she works them out she cannot have my trust or vulnerability or even my true thoughts because she has not proven worthy of them. I forgive her, not for her, but for me. It also helps me identify how that behavior is possible within myself so i can weed it out and not let the anger and damage she caused me manifest in me succumbing to the same sin and acting out my trauma and abusing my own kids, furthering the cycle. Breaking a cycle requires peace and patience and peace comes from closure and acceptance and forgiveness. Forgive, but dont forget. Forgiveness doesnt mean forgetting and allowing them to continue the abuse its letting go of the anger and moving on and learning to keep healthy boundaries between you and toxic people and behaviors. The opposite of love isnt hate, its indifference and that kind of peace can only be reached via understanding and forgiveness, then you let them go and move on. Just my two cents, feel free to disagree. I hated my mother for so long and began to fall into the same cycle of being an abuser, but i confronted my trauma and my mother. I forgave her and gained a kind of emotional freedom, peace, and healing i had never known. She may never get over her issues, but ill be free and ill be able to live, grow, and love others free of my intergenerational trauma-fueled cycle of abuse thats plagued my family for generations. I agree with your point about double standards though. Most people think my dad was the abusive one not even knowing my mother was the one abusing him and all of us.

@@hectorzero8545 yeah, I don't love my mother. Nobody can continue to love someone that abuses them so much and so badly. Years ago I forgave my mother, although she doesn't know, and she doesn't need to know: it was for my benefit. Forgiveness means I don't hold those things against her anymore. It doesn't mean we're cool. It just means I'm a healthier person. My little sister hasn't been able to forgive her, and as I've told her, "You're doing nothing wrong, I get it". I've never understood anyone that has decided to still love their abuser and tormenter. It seems to show their mental abuse really worked well.

      @hectorzero8545 2 года назад +1

@@josephtracey4411 Its a good thing you've forgiven her. And abuse is often intergenerational, abuse victims often become abusers. You can still love someone without allowing their abuse to continue sometimes its the only way out for an abuser, the only hope they have of learning to stop being abusive and toxic is to see and experience a healthier example of love. Loving them isnt showing the "abuse worked really well" thats a strawman, maybe even a deliberate one to avoid understanding that abusers are still humans and maybe abuse is literally the only form of "love" they experienced growing up. An abuser is broken on a fundamental level. A monster is often merely a person who was devoured by their own shadows and scars. It doesnt justify their actions which are still horrible, but it does explain them. I was an abuse victim and at some points i began to be abusive myself until i realized what was happening and snapped out of it and worked to never become the monster my mother was to me. I didnt learn about her past until later, the abuse she herself went through and i saw someone broken who may never recover. Sadly she loved me but thats literally the only way she knows how to express "love" thats all she experienced growing thats what she was taught "love" was. Thats sad to me. So i dont hate her and i still love my mom, we did have some good times despite the abuse, but i also am not naive to her broken nature or the horrible things she did to me. I forgave her for me and i still love her but i keep my distance and relationship with her guarded and healthy allowing no abuse anymore. If she acts up, i close the door and go my own way until she learns boundaries and to behave. I hope one day she'll overcome her issues and learn to love and be loved in a healthy way. See an abuser can never truly experience unhindered, open love, the closest they can come is the sad facsimile of it in the form of fear or dependency or in the best case scenario guarded and at a distance. Until they fix the broken points within their soul they will literally never know the full experience of loving and being loved in return. I love my mom though she may never be able to experience the full blessings and gifts of a full love unhindered by guarded distance and lack of trust because of her behavior. By living fully and healthily while loving her i hope maybe i can provide an example of what she couldve been had she overcome her broken psyche, give her a better example of what true love actually looks like and not the broken poisonous false copy she was given as "love" growing up.
