That TV show, about two paramedics working for the Los Angeles Fire Department, changed the US as when the TV show premiered in 1972, only Boston and LA had paramedic programs and by the end of the decade the vast majority of FD's across the country had paramedic programs. The show inspired me to get a "First Responder" certification (two steps below paramedic and one step below EMT-Emergency Medical Technician) which I kept for 35 years and used off and on during that time era. Your toy, first made by Mattel in 1974.
Wow, I had no idea of the connection of that 51 pumper to the t.v show. And to think that the popularity of the show encouraged other FD's to get a paramedic unit is amazing. Thanks ! 👨🚒👍🚒
