I'm looking into these at the moment. If I understand correctly then SB in the model name stands for 'speed box', and the cheaper version which doesn't have the phono stage also doesn't have push button speed control. To change the speed on that version you need to adjust the belt.
a bit a note on the T1 SB's "well set factory settings", it is very good but, when I was using the plastic Project "Seesaw" protractor that came with it, I found that the factory arm weight does not balance the protractor at dot 2??? This piece of plastic protractor is supposed to function as a weight gauge, and it should level when the stylus lowers into one of the two dents, but it doesn't??
Is it ok, if sound is lower with AUX cable, connected to the portable speaker? I use the pre-installed phono from Pro-ject and checked on 3 vinyl records. If no, how to increase the sound?
