By dismantling about 80% of the house, might as well knock down the old house and rebuild a new house and it’s definitely better, well planned with all the electrical wiring, water pipes and less messy than rebuilding.

Soft soil. House is too heavy- no foundation was laid or columns used.😢 Rain Gutters would also avoid soil erosion around the edges of the house... The waste and setback due to a lack of professional design and planning.

Why the barred windows? Reminds me of prison bars… when I saw some coming out I thought “oh wonderful, prison bars gone”. I was wrong. What’s the significance? I’ve seen this in many of these old homes being refurbished in Asia somewhere and wonder if it’s of cultural significance. If so - what?
