that some sort of supernatural being controlled the weather - - and they have been debunked with science. Don't continue

We have to learn from Bermuda - they get some incredible hits and survive them extremely well. ( they also have a great drink water system)
Much but not all of Bermuda's power lines are now underground. Homes are built mostly to withstand hurricanes and for the most part, most homes are built atop the coral rise which for the most part is beyond hurricane flooding. The rain will go a long way in filling cisterns on most of the homes there.

Bill if you never been in a hurricane it’s absolutely normal to feel anxiety. But let me tell you,just go to Publix, get some water, peanut butter, and things that don’t require electricity. A Cat 3 while strong is not like a Cat 4 or Cat five. Also the spaghetti models are just many different models that are guesstimate. This won’t be an IRMA. The thing that is very difficult to forecast is the intensity of a storm. Please watch Dennis Phillips on Tampa Bay ABC action news. He had his own RUclips channel and he keeps the overhyped news out of the conversation. If it’s something to worry about he tells you. You will be fine. I’ll hit you up after the storm and you can let me know how you held up.

*invest 98 remains a unpredictable threat and I pray that all those in Bermuda finished their preps, New Jersey, New York and Nova Scotia are steadily preparing durning these final hours as Hurricayne Fiona moves closer will only get faster in her traveling speed. What concerns me about Fiona the most is the possibility of the major flooding in the region once again as the citizens do not seem to be getting a break from that and nobody wants to see another* " *super storm sandy* " *within the near future* .
*Invest 98 seems like it will have a strong chance of development into a strong system in the near future though I hope not with a good chance of hitting my area directly. Preps will be done shortly here depending on the circumstances and area of course as we already have done over the years* . " *Don't be scared but ALWAYS be prepared no matter where these storms end up* "

For salvation, we just need to follow the way they did it in Acts?
They repented, were baptized in water in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and received the gift of the Holy Ghost, Acts 2:38!
Here's why! The gospel is the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. 1 Corinthians 15:1-4. If we are to follow him, we must do the same thing. Death= repentance, Burial = baptism, and resurrection = being filled and rising again from the dead and walking in the newness of life.
That's what Acts 2:38 is. It harmonizes with Matthew 28:19, and all the other salvation scriptures.
We can't pick and choose which scriptures we like or dislike.
We must obey the gospel, 2 Thessalonians 1:8-9, in flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that OBEY NOT THE GOSPEL of our Lord Jesus Christ... Matthew 7:21-23, Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that DOTH THE WILL OF MY FATHER which is in Heaven. St John 3:3-5, EXCEPT for a man be born of WATER AND OF THE SPIRIT, he cannot enter the kingdom of GOD.
We can't come up with our own gospel. Galatians 1:8-9, But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. Don't be cursed. One way for all people. Jews, Gentiles, and Samaritans.
Our salvation has to match up with the scriptures, and no scriptures on the subject can be taken away. Eternity is TOO long to be WRONG! St, John 5:39, search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me.
The gospels show what Christ has done on the cross for us. The book of Acts shows us the beginning of Christ's Church and how to enter the Church, obeying Acts 2:38. The letters were written to the Church to show us how to behave now that we are born again into the Church.
It's better to walk alone than with a crowd going in the wrong direction. Are we supposed to follow the teachings of the apostles? Acts 2:42, And they continued steadfastly in the apostle's doctrines. Ephesians 2:20, We are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ being the chief cornerstone. Don't get Titus 3:5 mixed up with James 2:14-26, about WORKS. One is a WORK of your OWN RIGHTEOUSNESS OR GOOD DEEDS, and the other is a WORK OF FAITH or OBEDIENCE TO GOD.
If I buy you a cake and tell you to come to get it, and you refuse to, then you won't have the cake even though it's been fully paid for. Christ paid the full price for our salvation. If we refuse to come to him and obey Acts 2:38 as they did, how shall we receive his salvation?
Noah believed or had FAITH, BUT THEN WORKED OR OBEYED TO BUILD THE ARK TO BE SAVED. LOT believed or had FAITH, BUT THEN OBEYED AND LEFT SODOM. This is why Jesus said, He that who believes and is baptized shall be saved. We must believe and obey Acts 2:38. All scriptures have to harmonize together.

Yeah when I moved to Louisiana I wanted to experience one too. After 20 years? Nah. My wife is from here. I come from a bit up north. I would rather tornadoes. My first major hurricane was Katrina. A weak plus without power. The storm? He. The aftermath is wost than the storm itself. We evacuated for Gustav and some damage. Last year we evacuated for Ida and no damage except for blackberry bushes and one limb on a tree but no power for two weeks and we went back to my home. I drank beer on ice by choice instead of necessity. Slept in AC and only sweated outside. If I have to evacuate again then I will only come back to load what I can and move back home. I may be single again but the Ol' Lady's getting tired of the stress too.
So listen to me. I am telling you now that the surge outside of a surge zone ain't bad. And no... in a coastal are you really can't hide from the wind a high enough wind chews everything up. After Ida last year in Houma LA after 8 plus hours of 100 mph winds a saw a lot of EF 3 and 4 damage like from a tornado. Now imagine going through an 8+hour EF 2 tornado.
Hell I'm a thrill junky too and have chased tornadoes and had a few chase me even. The storms are stressful if you own property but the aftermath is miserable and unbearable. So careful what you wish for. Storms are something to see if you can just drive away. That is the reason I don't live in a quarter million dollar Mc mansion in SE Louisiana. I don't mind being trailer trash. I have a 500 dollar deductable for a named storm. Houses have a 10 percent deductable. On 250,000 dollars that would be 25 thousand dollars. I don't want to keep up with the Jones's that much. I really don't care what a Jones thinks about me either. So if your roof blows off in most cases of insurance if the storm has a name pertaining to tropical systems then you eat ten percent. Why do you think the NHC started naming winter storms? Watch when you sign insurance papers.
