As you can see on inside the gates there is a "Key" symbol (4:02 on the helmet thing in red), that is the 5th infantry division's symbol because it's called called "The Key Division". It's a front line division and if you look at Jin, Jimin and JK's uniforms on the upper arm they have the same Key symbol representing their division. They are the only 3 members in the same division, the rest are spread out stationed in different places in other divisions so they others don't get to see each other unless they are on leave at the same time so that's why you also se the other members hug each other. Inside the gates hugging was only Jin and the guys Jin served with, his unit and one of the guys crying hard had had his bed next to Jin for over a year so these guy's ofcourse had bonded and are gonna miss each other, even if they can meat up in the future it's not like they are gonna spend day and night together and they might live in different parts of the country so it's a huge change and a big goodbye to say. Jin met BTS outside of the gates. Jimin and JK was not either with the ones inside the gates when you saw Jin hugging people goodbye, that was only Jin's unit saying goodbye and some being discharged while some still having time left to serve. Jin did exceptionally well in military. He was promoted early 2x, achieved many awards, is an assistant drill assistant, and elite warriors. He did all through sheer determination and hard work. He is super strong mentally and physically and very intelligent despite him always showing his goofy side only. FYI- according to Korean Army, this is rare and super hard to achieve. One has to maintain his high standards throughout the 18 months. It was really tough for Jin but he wanted to make Army proud.
