That is because the fastest are showing off how fast their brain works and technical prowess. Some play very fast, but the feeling of the mood is lost.
Beautifully played. I've been playing this lovely little prelude by Mister Bach for over 65 years, and you and I play it nearly identically, with the small variations in tempo and volume because, I have no doubt, we both play it from our hearts. Such a simple little work by Johann, but full of emotion... And one of my lifetime favorite works of his. And I love that it was chosen by thirteen year-old Lucy Illingworth, who is blind and autistic, to perform at the coronation concert for Prince (now King) Charles this past summer... a beautiful abbreviated version, with the full string section of the London Symphony Orchestra softly accompanying her.
Thank you! I guess I don't have enough showy videos with advanced pieces (yet!). All my videos are smaller performances. But I do wish to get more engagements!
there's a softness and tenderness in the way you play that speaks to the heart. I'm new to piano, but i hope to get to your level one day! Thanks so much for posting this lovely interpretation!
Nice rendition well played - thank you. My last piano has been shipped to the grandkids. I have experimented playing this piece with no changes in tempo. I like the constant tempo results in that it gives an eerie result that has a wonderful nuance that to me is very enjoyable. You might like to try it.
I pedalled in the beginning of each bar and let go of it slowly as the bar progresses to get a simpler more innocent sound on the last notes. Maybe in the last few lines I did more pedal to get a fuller/stronger sound.
It is not included in the urtext edition I used. I wasn't even aware such a thing existed :D After hearing a version with it I still think there is no need for its inclusion.
Technique used here is: press pedal at the beginning of each bar and let go slowly towards the end of the bar to get a simpler more detached sound in the last notes of the bar. Some bars put let go earlier, some bars (specially towards the end of the piece) let go later or not at all. This should create enough variation.
Well done. Most pianists fly through this piece as if they’re chasing someone. Your tempo was perfect.
Thank you!
Sgreed. Beautiful rendition

The perfect tempo. Thank you.
Wundervoll.

Thank you, much appreciated.
Great performance! Amazing!🤩
Thank you. I played this to both my sons often, much before they born. Wife told me that they got quite at those moments, probably were listening.. :)

Transcending time and space and races,
Bach‘s music heals and purifies and warms and enriches people‘s hearts

OBRIGADA!

So relaxing so soothing... beautiful piece of music...
Just beautiful, and played beautifully !
This is so beautiful. Why are there so few subscribers?

Some sources say that Bach composed the first part of the well-tempered clavier when he was bored without an instrument. Excellent interpretation!
Excellente interprétation !
¡Maravillosa interpretación! Escuchar a Bach siempre será un privilegio.
Thank you!!!
Back acerca mi alma al cielo. Gracias por la linda interpretación

This means a lot. I'm glad you feel that way.
I'm fairly 'new' to the game too, so I'm sure you will be able to play this soon!
Keep your mind open to new things.

Mat I use this beautiful version for a short movie I made on painting in a church in Holland ( not commercial)
I'd be honored. Can credit me if possible
Thanks
I will do it for shure
I am here because of Le Silence de la Mer (2004)
I have a very similar piano, what model is yours?
Yamaha U300, Japanese made ones
I’m learning this and I say you need to not rush, be focused in each note and use a soft touch
Svp quel est l'interprète ? Merci d'avance

Ooo
What does BWV 846 mean or stand for? Tell me. It is pissing me off!
Why would a catalog naming system piss anyone off? Classical piece naming is well documented.
