I’m here for the power supply clarification. I bought the pedal board and the SS6 Furman power strip, and it doesn’t fit under the board. It also shows you guys plugging into a power supply at the board, and the Furman is wired already. It would be really nice if we could get a better understanding of how this thing was powered. I feel like I ordered the wrong parts
@@temporessproductions so I ended up buying a different power strip altogether. I found one that was longer and skinnier and had vertical oriented plugs. It fits under the board but just barely. It’s not perfect, but it fits enough for me to be able to use it in a pedalboard flight case.
I've had similar problems with my board pedal train Novo...big board cas I run a Morley wah and digitech whammy but I can't get the power under the board due to the face the quad cortex plug sticks out too far
I saw another video where someone built a pedalboard for Plini and he had a custom Plini Mod that attaches to the side of the board for power, midi, etc. Wouldn't surprise me if that's what they ended up using.
Thanks for all the responses, love this community. I have alot of things to consider now. One thing is I found a iec splitter on sweet water that had one IEC port and one regular wall port. So I can get the side power supply and split it to my pedal power and quad power with the factory cortex box.
I got the duo 17 for a Christmas gift and was planning on a quad cortex, now I feel it will be too small unless I leave the cortex off it and wire it for my boost, noise gate and other weirder pedals I own like the ZOIA and night sky reverb. Could always build a side car stand and attach it underneath the duo 17 to connect them as one or flip this for a 24.
My philosophy for the last few years has been to have as much as I can that affects the sound in the backline, preferably in a single rolling case, and all my switching is done by a cheap midi controller at the front of the stage. I can put the rack case somewhere safe and isolated, and if anything on stage is going to get damaged, it's a cheap and easily replaced midi footswitch.
6:05 - I have the Quad Cortex and I was under the impression that I had to pair it with the Mission Eng. QC model expression pedal. Is this true or can any EXP pedal be used ??? Also, I've heard complaints that the 'supplied' power supply for the QC isn't any good. Is there a power supply you can recommend?
8:07 Wouldn't switching patches with your left foot, meaning left foot forward, be considered regular instead of goofy? I ride regular, same goes for boxing or football, play a right handed guitar and naturally gravitated to controlling my pedalboard with my left foot
Sweet... I'd love to try 1 of those quads, but I'd be auper happy with a mesa combo, would look super nice with my PRS 408... They always say dream big but them dreams never happen The powerstage is pretty cool i didn't know that they had anything like that. I really would like.try this setup out .. Goodluck to whomevrr wins
Awesome board. One question. How did you mount the powerstrip underneath? I'm gonna do a similar rig but with a full size wah and a headrush gigboard. Thanks.
I'm here just wandering how did they made the IEC for the PS200 cable go through one of those wholes, because I have the same board and haven't been able to do it :P
Great setup, wish i could see the underside. Also, they plugged into the wrong jack on the Shure, it should be the other one to connect to the expression pedal, right now its plugged into the input you would use to just make it a tuner
I was really hoping to see how you wired it underneath, with the power strip! My power strip is on top and I haven't been able to figure out a better solution.
How did U manage to attach Dunlop expression pedal with that pedal tape. Dunlop pedal has rubber plate at the bottom. Did you unscrew and turn over the rubber plate to aluminium side?
Yes-it covers all bases. With the exception of just how the underside looked and the so called "Plate System". Looks like a bunch of "sticky backing" to me.
Please elaborate on "world power" at 4:43 . Does this mean a Seymour Duncan Power Stage 170 from the USA cant use a standard IEC plug for Europe? More info please.
There is no standard pot sweep with expression pedals, I bought a random one and 85% of the sweep was in the first 15% of pedal movement. RJM makes different model expression pedals specifically for different manufacturers taking this in mind.
I found out that the power stage adds a nasty high end frecuency that changes your general tone. I'm still searching for something like it that doesn't color the sound as much as that block
Can you help me? What size Temple Board will be sufficient for a Quad Cortex and a single Expression pedal with CIOKS power supply and a CRUX power supply underneath?
Did Geoff Allen at Sweetwater spec this out because you built the exact live rig he helped me put together. I flipped the GLXD and the Powerstage (and used a smaller board) but otherwise identical.
Question would using a headrush frfr 1x12 be better than buying the powerstage for an amp? Since with this setup you'd probably be just going to front of house from the context?
please define "its not world power". Does this mean the SD powerstage doesnt have auto-switching power with its IEC from USA to EU or????? Thank you@@RiffsAndBeards
or perhaps you mean that the furman power strip in this build is USA only and THAT is limiting the Seymour Duncan power stage 170 to being USA only?@@jordanwilkinson1
The day neural DSP let people tun the tuner on just by pressing and not holding the tuner switch I’ll get rid of my mini midi footswitch. But for instance I HATE the quad cortex tuning system that would be my only complain.
I wish you would have shown the bottom of the board, and what power you used on the side and underneath!
Yup-Wishing the exact same thing here.
same...
OH SNAP! Beau with the guest star! What a give away!
pure dreams, it's sad that it's only for the USA, good luck to everyone, the rig is incredible just like all the work on your channel!
Looks great - the Quad Cortex has just about everything you'd ever need
Those Temple Audio boards are extremely nice looking. Killer build and video with Beau. Nice surprise guest.

That is literally my dream pedalboard! Beau Burchell was a nice addition also
My exact rig, except for the Quad Cortex. I currently use the HX Stomp XL, but have been planning on getting a Quad Cortex soon.
This would be a sweet compact live rig! Good luck to everyone
Great setup, guys! 🔥
What a nice compact gigging board. Cool to see/meet beau too, never seen him before now but I like him
Beau!!!!!! Such an amazing musician and producer!!!
My husky said..... RAH!
Great giveaway. Kieep it simple is my motto. Great pics for it as well. Thanks for the chance to win!
I have nearly the same pedalboard. I was coached to go this route from a buddy of mine. One of these days it’ll be on Rate or Roast my rig;)
That's Beau fucking Burchell! Saosin is absolutely incredible

Maybe the best compact fly rig ever!
Man, I really wanted to hear those patches…sweet build!

What are you using for power/ what is everything plugging into under the board that you just have the one power chord out?
What patch bay or module are you guys using to power the Powerstage through the pedalboard?
Thanks on the class guys, i rearanged my pedal board.
What gifts
That experience would be insane. Seven years got me through highschool
DREAM RIG, beautiful work on it as well!
I want to know how the power worked on this between the Furman power strip and temple audio iec module 🤔

I’m so gonna fn win this! 😅
This is a great video for so many reasons. Good work.

Awesome board. One question. How did you mount the powerstrip underneath? I'm gonna do a similar rig but with a full size wah and a headrush gigboard. Thanks.
One of the mods for the Temple Audio boards is in fact a 100 watt stereo power amp.
My OCD approves. I would rock that board.
Great solution, what you use to stick the pedals to the pedalboard ?
Damb I've been trying to get my hands on one. That could crush
I'm here just wandering how did they made the IEC for the PS200 cable go through one of those wholes, because I have the same board and haven't been able to do it :P
Dremel
Great rig, on the go plug n play, commuting, pro guitarist
I didn’t skip to the end, I watched the whole fun video.
This is all you need!

Very well done!
Very clean and solid pedalboard, when I do the wires always so much more of it and I make a mess.
What is powering this board what power supply please tell us.
Hey Ryan! Curious to know what do you keep your wireless pack in when it's on your guitar strap?
what was the power supply they were using since they pluged in the side they defently using one and didnt show that
This would make things so much easier and sound so much better!🎉
I was really hoping to see how you wired it underneath, with the power strip! My power strip is on top and I haven't been able to figure out a better solution.
I too have the same board and same strip was hoping i could do the same
Same here. The powerstrip is a monster. I just don't want to get the pedalboard and it not work.
How did U manage to attach Dunlop expression pedal with that pedal tape. Dunlop pedal has rubber plate at the bottom. Did you unscrew and turn over the rubber plate to aluminium side?
Great compact rig. Covers all bases.
Yes-it covers all bases. With the exception of just how the underside looked and the so called "Plate System". Looks like a bunch of "sticky backing" to me.
Can you show how you mounted the power strip?
I second this request. I would like to see how all of the power was run.
had no idea how a quad cortex worked until i saw this , thanks .
Killer pedalboard. Simple, yet effective
how did you get the power cable for the powerstage through the board? lol
Great video and pedalboard!!, but I would love to see how the connection were on the bottom, because the furman SS 6B doesn’t look like that…
Great giveaway, but again USA only. Good luck to all whom enter !! 👍
I was hoping to see a FM3 used, but I know Sweetwater doesn't sell those. Very cool regardless. 👍
Please elaborate on "world power" at 4:43 . Does this mean a Seymour Duncan Power Stage 170 from the USA cant use a standard IEC plug for Europe? More info please.
anyone?
hello?
Be just like tweaking a rose floyd but less finicky… 🤔 speaking of I must re-adjust that paper clip this year.
I can hold perfect tune for about a year as long as the temperature in my house stays on room temperature.
… 3/4 step down but close enough 🤷♂️
Could you guys move the wireless up top? I'm never gonna need to stomp it. Thanks.
This is a cool board. Makes me wish I was on Instagram... Kinda lol. Hope whoever gets it puts it to good use!!!
That is an awesome board.
what power supply did you use and how did you connect the Quad Cortex and Seymour Duncan Powerstage 170 to power?
What a great rig! I entered. This would be such a great live rig.
Hey just noticed dragged under is playing louder than life on Saturday the 23rd ......any idea what time and stage so I can be on the lookout?
Which power supply did you use ?
There is no standard pot sweep with expression pedals, I bought a random one and 85% of the sweep was in the first 15% of pedal movement. RJM makes different model expression pedals specifically for different manufacturers taking this in mind.
I found out that the power stage adds a nasty high end frecuency that changes your general tone. I'm still searching for something like it that doesn't color the sound as much as that block
Hi, great video and I'm getting inspiration to build my own pedal board, I wanted to ask, what type of power supply did you mount?
Do you need a poweramp? Can't it work just the same going direct to FOH?
You only need a poweramp if you want to run a cab on stage, if you just want to go direct to FOH and use in ears then you don't need it :)
Any links to angled power cable for amp head/power amp???? Please 🙏🏽

Can you help me? What size Temple Board will be sufficient for a Quad Cortex and a single Expression pedal with CIOKS power supply and a CRUX power supply underneath?
Solo 18, I built one with a QC and a wireless system
@@brendanjohnpugh Thanks-I got the Solo 18 as well. No expression pedal yet (prefer volume swells manually)
Sad this isnt for EU as well, is there something legal humbojumbo behind it?
The board is not world power it’s 110v and cost to ship.
Very cool indeed
Random question but how did you mount the pedals on there? Are those sticky tabs?
So you tell me, you do this vid on RUclips, and the Giveaway is on Insta? Very clever. Masterminds at work!
I saw it on porn hub!
which furman model is that for QC ?
I was hoping you had included a recommendation for a compact cabinet for small gigs...
Why are you using the Seymour Duncan pedal with the Quad?
Wow. That would be a dream for me to win.
Is Fluff still in Dragged Under?
Did Geoff Allen at Sweetwater spec this out because you built the exact live rig he helped me put together. I flipped the GLXD and the Powerstage (and used a smaller board) but otherwise identical.
I dont know who that is haha
@@RiffsAndBeards well the two of you have similar tastes because he recommended everything you used to me.
That’s awesome 😎
Question would using a headrush frfr 1x12 be better than buying the powerstage for an amp? Since with this setup you'd probably be just going to front of house from the context?
I watch youtube on TV - none of the yt TV apps show the description. just something to consider maybe with details only in the description?
Furman makes a small ac power conditioner that fits under the board
Ah you guys didn't show how you set up the power strip haha I was waiting for that
Why use the Power Stage instead of just going FOH and/or FRFR?
In case you need to use a cab with a mic
What was it Fluff said about the Seymour Duncan
Power stage power source?
Its not world power.
@@RiffsAndBeards I am not familiar with the power differences. Could this be an integrated topic for a video?
please define "its not world power".
What IEC cable did you use for it to fit through the hole of the board to go into the Power Stage?
Dremel the hole to make it fit haha
@@RiffsAndBeards Good to know! I have a similar rig and the Power Stage cable issue is a pain. Thanks dude!
Awesome video and Great rig Sir, It is my dream rig. Hope i can win that give away. Greetings from Philippines
This is basically my exact rig but with an fm3
Get a Cioks DC7 with a Cioks Crux to power the QC.
Damn, Beau some how looks his age but also 20 years younger. I would’ve said “7 years” but the number wasn’t big enough.
That is the perfect pedalboard 👌👌
The day neural DSP let people tun the tuner on just by pressing and not holding the tuner switch I’ll get rid of my mini midi footswitch. But for instance I HATE the quad cortex tuning system that would be my only complain.

Not my type of thing but very interesting how much space you save
Pretty badass
Sooooo siiiick!
