These videos are really useful especially since I'm living here in Serbia and still have problems understanding the Serbian language, Thank you very much.
Can I ask you to give us some idioms in Serbian and how to interpret them in English, please?

@@teacherboko Thank you so much
thank you for the videos !
I have a question about ici.
In your sentence stands : odem , but why o and not idem ? * ne mogu da odem na posao pre tebe *
Nema na čemu!
Verbs of motion are used a bit differently compared to English sometimes. And the prepositions can be different. In this case, these are two different verbs:
to go - ići (idem)
to leave - otići (odem)
For example, you say:
I'm going to work. = Idem na posao.
- but we say:
I went to work. = Otišao sam na posao. [I left for/to work.]
Additional (advanced) explanation:
These are different verbs, but the thing is that verb "go" doesn't have the perfective form, so you could use the verb "leave" (as you see in the examples above) as the perfective form of the verb "go", especially in the past tense. One more example:
I'm going to the theater. = Idem u pozorište.
I went to the theater. = Otišao sam u pozorište.
Even though it would be fine to say:
I went to the theater. = Išao sam u pozorište.
This second example just sounds a bit more imperfective.
@@teacherboko aah now im understand. thank you! Are there any videos of perfekt verbs and imperfekt and how we use it ?

why do you say “ljudi je došlo” and not “ljudi su došlo”? 25:30
Because we have "puno" (quantifier) - which means we have to use genitive plural. And for genitive plural (and I know this sounds illogical) we use the singular form "is", not the plural form "are".
2, 3, 4 - genitiv singular
Two clowns came. = Dva klovna SU došla.
Three clowns came. = Tri klovna SU došla.
5+ and quantifiers - genitiv plural
Five clowns came. = Pet klovnova JE došlo.
Many clowns came. = Puno klovnova JE došlo.
You can notice the "je" and "došlo" - for genitive plural we always use the singular neuter form of the verb.
