Thank you! Yes, it's quite hard to learn but we really enjoy singing it. Thanks for the encouragement.

I fell in love with this rhythm the first time I went to international folk dancing when I was 14. (now almost 60) No Balkan ancestry that I know. Just German, British, Celtic. My mother's brother liked "unusual" music. He died when I was 4, but left some LP's behind. I latched onto them. Otherwise, I mostly heard classical and traditional Catholic Church music. Some polka music. Ty for sharing the music. It is like walking into a candy shop to have the net-only music is much better!

Very nice interpretation. Intrest for our traditional music and its odd rhythm's is no surprise to me. But I'm surprised you decided to learn how to sing this song. I'm sure our language must be very hard for you to pronounce. My admiration and respect. Keep up exploring Balkan music. You'll find much inspiration and joy. :)

Someone mentioned speed.. Trying to imagine speed of our medieval music and particular song I personally believe that you were closer to the core, closer then anyone else. Good!

Masz rację, to fantastyczna interpretacja. Sama to spiewałam 20 lat temu w Kapeli Bałkańskiej w Przemyślu, w Polsce. .

It is good but he sings it as if it is 'Nights in white satin', while it is in fact a
very cheerful song about a couple that decide to sell their house and then their horse so that they can dance the Kolo forever.

+Vitruvianac Since you've studied serbo-croatian, you'd have to know that there's no difference in (standard) language all over from south Serbia to western Croatia. But still, this song is serbian, from southern Serbia, in characteristic 7/8 rhytm heard only in south Serbia and Macedonia.

A bit too fast, this is not trash-hardcore, play etno music, you need the spirit not speed.
