How did it go?
@@msjen024 it went really well
Can you add any additional tips you learn in your interview?!
@@terresasimmonds Prepare well and be confident in answering the questions. For your information, i got selected by the board and i will be going to OTS in october
Awesome, I got selected too but was prior service so don't need to go to ots.
This is AMAZING! You are gold! Thank you for all the info
You're so welcome! Good luck!
Hi! Thank you for this insightful video! I just finished tech school and now working active as a vehicle maintainer in Lackland, watching this motivates me to work hard on reaching your level. It’ll take years to commission but I will work through it! Btw you’re amazing! And I was wondering what happened to your Instagram account?
Wow! how awesome. I was stationed at Ft Sam a few years back. You can do it! I got off instagram last year and not sure when I will be back. Just ping me on here if you have more questions.
@@AirForceNurseAngel Thank you for the encouragement and the willingness for you to share your experiences ma'am! :) I hope you have a great day!
Thanks for all the insightful tips. You are amazing. Thank you for all you do.
Awww you’re so kind. Thank you so much and thanks for your support.

Thank you for the video Angel, Very helpful. Also, your cat is sooo cute, it made me laugh when I saw her wagging her tail 💕
So glad you enjoyed! Fishmo is a dog hahaha. He's a mess but I love him.
Great video. Thank you
Can you do a video on medical conditions that might disqualify people from joining and the age limit? I'm 38 and already working in psych with my ADN. I just started an RN-> BSN program. Would I be able to work in psych after getting my BSN?
Nursing candidates in the Air Force must be U.S. citizens between 18 and 48 years old. They may receive a waiver for the upper age limit, depending on the specialty they choose. These nursing professionals also must meet all physical requirements for serving in the Air Force.
Take a look at this but it Is best you speak with your local recruiter. They have the most up to date guidance.

Thank you for all the material. We’ve launched a new series to shine light on the Nurse Corps.
We are looking at releasing a MEPS brief video for our health professionals as well.
Thank you so much for making this video!!! It was extremely helpful in preparing me for my chief nurse interview!!!!
Question. Did you have to do a Critical Care Consultant interview? Because that’s what’s next for me!
Happy to help. I didn’t have to do a critical interview but when I went into flight nursing I did have to interview with a Chief nurse. I assume it will be the same if you go the critical care route.
Angle, miss you! Hope you had a good birthday! ❤
Ivan! Just seeing this. Thank you. I did!
Thank you for this video! 😊❤
Hi Angel. Thank you so much for your channel. I love your positive vibes and attitude. Any tips for overcoming my age in the application process? I will 45 when applying, currently working med surg. floor also have experience in ob/gyn and homehealth. Finishing up my BSN at Norwich which should be done summer 2022.
You are so welcome. Thanks for watching and for your support. I mean I would say just keep an open mind and definitely get in shape. I think one of the most challenging aspects for anyone, regardless of age is the physical fitness component. Good luck to you and hope to see you soon. :)
I made a 2.8 in my asn program and a 4.0 in my bsn program. Do you think this makes me ineligible?
Hi, are you eligible for the program if you’re already an Lpn?
When you are a flight nurse in the Air force do you Enlist in the Military? Also, is a flight nurse considered an “Officer” in the Military?
Hi! You commission as an Officer if you’re a RN in the military
Appx what rank is the chief nurse? The reason I ask is "chief" in some branches is NCO. Is it just one person, or a team of nurse professionals, with the chief leading the questions.
The Chief Nurse is usually a Lt Col (0-5) or a Col (0-6). It is usually just the one individual interviewing the applicant. Hope this helps. :)
Hi. Would you able to do a video on air force reserve nurse? Rate of acceptance? Pro vs cons? Benefits? What specialty is the air force looking for in nurses?
Hey! I don’t know much about the reserves but can maybe have one of my reserve nurse friends come on my channel to do a video. They are looking for all specialties! ICU, ER, OR, medsurg etc. contact your local recruiter for more up to date guidance.
@@AirForceNurseAngel Thanks! 😊. I did tele, m/s and ICU yrs ago..most experience.. cath lab and EP. Does AF take national certs into consideration? Cuz I currently have CCRN and PCCN. Thank you 🙏
Hi, are you airforce reserve nurse? can you share your experience? I appreciate any information about airforce reserve nurse.
@@inahrivz7649 sorry, I'm a civilian nurse.
Will the interview not be in blues?
Thanks for the tips! Is there a chance for nurses commissioning not to be selected?
Yes there is a chance if the interviewer doesn’t think the candidate is a good fit for the Air Force. I mean there is a chance with any job interview of not getting selected for the job but just prepare and you will be just fine! Good luck.
Hello Ms.Angel, I saw that you got off Instagram and I wanted to ask if I can enter the Air Force with my pre-nursing degree and finish up my other two years in the Air Force to get my bachelors. I also wanted to ask if you had to go through BMT?
Hi! Yes I did get off insta for the near future. So you can enlist and finish your degree on your own time while enlisted and then attempt to commission there after. It’s not a straight and narrow road this but doable. I personally would finish my degree then try to commission after as an officer. I didn’t have to go to BMT. I went to commissioned officer training (COT) instead. Good luck to you!
@@AirForceNurseAngel thank you so much for the info! Stay safe❤️
Hi i am from India, I passed my NCLEX-RN Exam in March 2022, and have MSc. Nursing. Please suggest me way about joining US Air Force as a nurse. Thanks
Hello! Definitely go watch this video - ruclips.net/video/KoAuAyViEeon/видео.html
Hi Angel, how often are reservist sent to deployment?
Deployment in the reserves (to my knowledge) is on a volunteer basis. I can’t speak on how often the opportunities pop up though. I’m gonna try and get a reserves Q&A video out soon.
Can you skip deployment if you have little kids? I need a job, but i don't want to abandon my children
Unfortunately you can not. If you are a single parent you will have to have a family care plan. This will cover where your children will go if deployment occurs. If you have a spouce it will fall onto your spouses responsibilities. Hope this helps.
@@jenaigerman8410 thank you! Your answer is spot on.
How many hours should work per week for airforce reserve nurse?
I think it is just one weekend a month and two weeks a year. I recommend contacting your local reserve’s recruiter for specific and most up to date i information.
