Nice happy video. I see the tent is at tied to the bottom of the pack, I always attach it to the top of the pack, this makes it easier to carry and it's not banging against the legs. Packed correctly it will be less strain on the body. ATB Cheers from the mountains of NZ 😀😀
Yeah I tend to Have mine on the side so it's the last thing to pack. I think his bag was just more bushcraft than hiking, but he's looking at getting a different set up
Josh is a funny guy! I love how calm and composed he was at the start of the video, but looks just like every other hiker trying to stuff some food down in the morning
Hey you. Nice to see you again for another great vid. Legend for carrying that sack. It’s almost as big as you. Josh’s clothes look heavier than your whole kit! Glad you both enjoyed it and see you on the next one. Stay safe!

I love this. I'm really interested in hiking, bushcraft and wild camps on alsorts of trails. Then you put in a haunted hike. Omg this is like gold. Your the first I've watched that has done something like this. Thankyou.
I lived on Dartmoor and there are so many amazing places to explore. I have seen the white lady and seeing this video I will explore the moor again very soon. Thank you for the amazing video xx
I did winter solstice in Seaton Ross last year its steeped in Viking history Woke up at 4am to a full blown conversation by two women..I was miles away from anything
No way?! Mate I've had that before too, sleeping in a stone circle, wind got mental on a hike and weirdly that circle had very little wind asked permission to whatever was around, and slept soundly but woke throughout the night hearing people talk x
Ahh Beca that looked like a fun hike to do. Top lad is Josh also met him at the Bushcraft Show. Hope your all well and staying safe. Keep up the great videos x
The carbon filter is a great idea in the lower lands, but there is little need on the moor. I mix and match on the moor, a little wool is a good idea it'll keep you warm even when wet when synthetics just hang limp and useless. You really lucked out with the weather, I had snow on Halloween when I did it a couple of years ago. Love the snippets of history you added, Dartmoor is so much more than grass and tors (as is Bodmin) and I always throw a little in if I can. Cracking little video, if you want a further, though shorter challenge, do the Marilyn's ( a play on the Monroe's of Scotland) Cornwall has 5, Devon just the 1....Kernow wins that one 🤣Kernow bys vyken.
I often walk to the powder mills as I live on Dartmoor and it’s great. Happy you’ve posted another video on the moors. Keep up the great work 👍🏻 Surprised it was your first lot of tors. Hope you had a good time
Great Video. Full of interesting content and good banter. The area looks amazing. Josh seems a chilled bloke. I’ve followed him on Instagram. Looking forward to your future videos. Keep Up the good work.
24:17 it’s a Military firing range! The bit you’re stood by is a troop shelter (to keep soldiers waiting to fire dry and warm), and the bit down the way with a big sand berm is the ‘butts’ of the range, where targets would be raised and lowered in front of (The sand berm is to catch bullets!)
Have a look at a Grayl water filter. It filters out everything that the sawyer and platapus combo do. Filter is really fast, and it's also a waterbottle.
I Say Beca and Josh Old Chaps! What a splendid transmission on the wireless! Great to see you out behind enemy lines together and it was only last weekend we saw your delightful faces. Jolly good haunted walk there and rations for the troops. That lady! The kindness, bless her ♨️🙏💪 I Say Bravo
Great video ,the scenery was amazing, I thought you guys were going to camp in the haunted woods ,maybe next time, I liked the story about the people carrying a coffin all the way to the church. ⛺🎃👻🎃
I really wanted too, but it's not part of the legal wildcamp area. And as much as I'm happy to wildcamp in non-legal areas elsewhere, I feel so lucky to have such a wide area of public permission land on my doorstep I don't want to be part of the reason they stop it 😅
Great video miss muddy, always giving off the feel good factor, the poor old ghosts could of laughed themselves back to life again watching you're antics. It was interesting to see the two extremes of gear with one being hiking and the other being bushcraft, just goes to show the differences though mine is sort of inbetween. Anyways, keep taking the laughing gas and enjoy 👍⭐
Nice video :) Would you reccomend the Hubba Hubba NX? Looking to get a lightweight 3 season tent but have read some reviews of people having issues with the poles & struggling to get replacement parts

@@muddy_bootlaces It was lovely and still... but my recorder picked up the sound of a little (ghost?) dog barking in the middle of the night that I didn't hear until I came to edit the footage together 😱. All on my silly, whimsical little channel if you're interested!

The kindness of strangers, surprising, Three of the videos I’ve watched today, two on bicycle touring, that total strangers have given food to travellers, one of these a huge meal was given, this was in the Balkan’s, the elderly couple insisted the couple cycling had lunch because the next town was 45k’s away, they couldn’t speak English, gives you faith in humans

Hey, yeah I didn't really have an idea of what to film when I got the footage a few weeks ago, so I probably should have made it a little more creepy and entertaining lol, but the shotgun was enough to creep me out 🤣 the path is mostly easy, it disappears in parts but you can link it up x
hate to point out but in the video you enter wistmans wood which unfortunately is out of bounds due to the SSI that is in place there had been signs up around the outside edge of the wood the SSI has been in place for many years.
Interesting video, thanks Beca. I wonder why there were so few churches ? 😱 that skull fungus!
