Thanks man. Just installed mine! I cannot believe more companies aren't making something comparable, and competitive in price. $130 is a lot of money, but worth it since I no longer have to worry about my transducer cable when I auto deploy and stow my Ulterra. Thanks for posting!
Absolutely man. I had the same issue and after many tries and fails i finally got in contact with this company. I actually got it cerakoted black now and it blends in perfectly. I'm glad i could help you out.
Dude I just installed mine today and went into freak out mode trying to figure how to run my transducer. This looks like a good fix. Thanks for posting it, I had never heard of them!
I've heard that if you have that type of transducer the motor will cause interference and humminbird makes a special transducer for mounting on the motor. Is this true?
Yes it is. however, depending on your units settings you can tweak the sensitivity and channels enough to almost cut it out entirely, but I would highly recommend getting that specific transducer.
are there 2 different size clamps for the top and bottom mounts. I purchased this product from precision trolling and my bottom bracket is mounting to the shaft of the trolling motor vs. the base of the trolling motor. the bottom bracket will not fit around the base of the trolling motor, it is not big enough. It appears that you mounted your bottom bracket above the base on it is on the shaft as well. I am having issues with my terrova it is not spinning 360 degrees. it can only go 180? It appears that the black coiled hose is to rigid and does not wrap around my trolling motor as it turns. I am going to try to loosen my brackets so when the trolling motor spins those brackets will allow my shaft to spin 360, any suggestions would be appreciated.
EXACTLY. You pay 2k for a trolling motor that doesn't even support down scan little long side scan. 2d is in the past I don't what hummingbirds deal is. its past time for them to get with the program
Curious about the video on how you mounted the transducer to your ulterra. Just ordered the bracket from precision sonar! Great company to call me back on a Sunday!
I've had nothing but problems with this mount. Twice it has gotten wedged in the base. The first time, I got it out, but it frayed the transducer wire. The second time, the only alternative was to cut the cable. I'm back to square one.
I am really sorry to hear you're having issues with this man. Your problem may lie with the amount of torque on the bracket itself or the angle. The paper instructions also warn if you put the wrong bracket on the bottom instead of the top this issue may occur. Make sure the wire protector isn't crimping down on your wire. It should be barely snug not tight. It has to have enough room to compensate for your trolling motors 360 degree movement as well as vertical movement. It also shouldn't be twisted in between the top and bottom bracket, this can cause the wire to be pulled so tight that the issue your describing will occur. I hope this helps if not try get in contact with the company. It may be on their side. I have tons of hours on mine and never an issue so maybe its simple defect or installation issue.
Im sorry to hear that man. Ive had great luck with mine the only long term issue ive seen is the cable protector starting to not hold its form good. Which is an easy fix. Did you reach out to precision sonar? They may have been able to help.

Where you buy those parts at? If you don't mind telling me, thank you.
I just don't understand why Garmin/Hummingbird/Lowrance can't go to BlueTooth (inexpensive now). Let's get rid of the cables already.

Bluetooth can't handle the video signals. Only way is a cable.
Bluetooth also won’t penetrate water.
