🔹 Difference between Spouse And Civil Partner:
A spouse is basically a married person, either a husband or a wife.
Civil partnership is a relationship either between heterosexual or homosexual partners.
🔹 Who can be a Sponsor in the UK?
The person in the UK who is either,
* A British citizen
* ⁠⁠Settled person holding ILR or Settled status under the EU Settlement Scheme
* On a Protection leave ( Leave as a Refugee, Leave as a humanitarian Protection)
* S⁠ ⁠or someone who holds a Pre-settled Qualifying status
* ⁠⁠Turkish Business Person
* ⁠⁠Stateless person
They can act as a sponsor under the Appendix FM.
🔹 Requirements for Spouse Visa:
Age Requirement:
Both partners must be at least 18 years old at the time of the application.
Genuine Relationship:
When applying for a Partner visa, you must prove that it is a genuine and subsisting relationship. You can provide evidence like shared bills, photos, travel history and communication records.
Financial Requirement:
The sponsoring partner must have an annual income of £29,000 to meet the financial requirement. If the earnings are insufficient, you can meet the financial requirement by showing your savings.
Under the new requirements, you can meet the financial requirements through savings of £88,500.
Immigration Status:
The applicant must apply from outside the UK unless they are switching from another valid visa category within the UK.
English Language Requirement:
The Applicant must prove they can speak and understand English.
They need to pass an English Language test at level A1 unless the Applicant has a degree taught in English.
Accommodation Requirement:
The Sponsor must provide adequate evidence of accommodation for both partners in the UK. A supporting Letter from the landlord or your Parents can support your application to meet the accommodation requirement.
🔹Visa Duration:
You can stay in the UK for 33 months on the Spouse visa. After this, you will need to apply to extend your visa.

The UK Spouse Visa offers a range of benefits for those looking to live with their spouse or civil partner in the UK.
1.⁠ ⁠You have a Right to work in the UK.
2.⁠ ⁠You have a Right to Study and Live in the UK.
3.⁠ ⁠You gain access to the NHS (National Health Service), by paying the Immigration Health Surcharge (IHS), allowing you to receive healthcare services in the UK.
4.⁠ ⁠You can bring Dependants to the UK.
5.⁠ ⁠The spouse visa allows you to live a stable family life with your partner and any children, ensuring that your family can stay together without long-term separation.
6. Able to travel in and out of the UK.
