bhai you are saying ki agar nominal exchange rate increase hoga to ruppe appreciate hoga right? but see this:- case 1: rs.80-1 dollar and then after sometime rs.100-1 dollar now what is happening is that we are willing to give more money for a unit of dollar which means the value of rupee is depreciating because we are willing to give more. case:2 rs.100-1 dollar and after sometime rs.80-1 dollar now what has happened that we are giving less of our rupees for one unit of their dollar, which implies that value of rupee is appreciating. then how can you say that if nominal exchange rate increases then rupee also appreciates?
@@Dr_UPSC if we calculate the other way around so lets use my own example only then it will be Re.1= 1/80 dollar which upon further calculation will come upto 1.25 And Re.1=1/100 dollar which will turn out to be 1 Now 1.25>1 which implies that 1.25 is costlier meaning for 1 rupee we are getting 1.25 unit of dollar(when 1dollar-80 rupees) but we are only getting 1 unit of dollar for 1 rupee) and therefore when we go from 100 to 80, the rupee must appreciate in value.(1.25>1) If you mean otherwise, then kindly reply with your set of calculations.

In the yr 2000, ₹1---> 0.02USD
In the yr 2020, ₹1---> 0.01USD
ER decreased, hence rupee depreciated.
