cha joo ik and ji na doesn't have good chemistry. Betraying your brother is the worst thing, specially joo ik served as teacher of hyun kyu when it comes to life then why will he do that. if he's really concern and loyal to his brother he will tell him and pursue him to be brave and face jina 10 years ago so that things will get better but cha joo ik betrayed his brother and hyun kyu is the real understanding person because he forgave his older brother. this ruined the story the reason why I feel it unsatisfying to watch today's kdrama compare before.

He could have contacted her if he wanted too. Secondly 9 years is a long time and Jina wasn't his property that he could just come back and claim her as he liked. (Team Jina here) (I'm not that fluent in English) Before anyone come after me, I wrote this from my perception bcs I've once stand in jina position. The difference were, he left me for my best friends, without even told me anything he started a relationship with her

When I saw the drama I thought Lee hyun kyu would get jina but it turns out otherwise, I'm relieved yet I felt sad for hyun kyu but still, he deserved it, he's too late, he's good but his action for 9 years wasn't, he shouldn't ghosting jina like that. He need to put things straight if he really love her, The pain of leaving someone without even telling them are much more worse than you telling them you want to break up, at least tell her that he will leave her for a while and ask her to wait for him, so she know that he still love her, he still want her. While in their situation? He doesn't tell her both to wait and to break up. He went overseas for a few months but when he back, he opened up a cafe and left the chance to make up with her. He want her back after he make Jina waiting for something unconfirmed. After he screwed her mind up. At the end, Hyun Kyu accept the fact that he can't get jina back
And I know how ignorant cha joo ik action are too, he shouldn't do that while he knew everything about hyun kyu and jina relation. He doesn't have to kiss her just because he pitied her or as a way for her to leave the apartment. He should let hyun kyu met her when his about to go to the convenience store. You can call him selfish but as you know, that it's not his fault jina and hyun kyu not together, He's not the one ghosting jina around, he's not the one who won't replied to jina text, he's not the one making jina wait all year long. All I know that he is the man I want to be with if I were at jina place, at least he know whats he doing, what he wants and he stand for it. He taking care of Jina silently for 9 years without making any move(maybe because he think Jina will decide to get back with hk at the end). When he got the chance he tell straight to her that he like her. He's not mad when she told him she went on a date with hyun kyu. He told her that he can accept it as one-sided love and he okay with that since he doesn't want her to feel burdened by his confession.
Both hyun kyu and joo ik know that love is not all abt being together
I don't care which one jina end up with act, she can even live her own or she can be with sun kyung 😂

The second lead give me the chills. I'm rooting for Cha Jo ik and Na Ji Na they are the reason why I continued watching the series. THEY REALLY LOOKED PERFECT WITHD EACH OTHER.

I think the second lead couple only make 1/3 of the scenes in this drama, the other 2/3 are the first lead. But eventhough their scenes are not much, but its enough to make an impression, right. I couldn't take it when I watched that scene because Joo eak knew everything about the two of them and he shouldn't have liked Ji na and knew that. Jina choosing joo ik would be the best decision or mayb jina should just first heal herself from any undecided feelings. Hyunkyu's regrets were just too late to even make up wat he did to jina. Imo Joo ik didnt kissed her out of only sympathy but also sincere feelings and love. From the scene where hyunkyu asked joo ik to reply jinaa's txt for him, joo ik hesistated bcz he knew how cruel hyunkyu actions were towards jina. These guilty feelings turned him to appreciate jina's existence more. First love probably stays the longest in memory but not always for better life and future aspect. Times change, jina had been through a lot and hyunkyu dont deserve to be with her even if hyunku regrets his actions bcz he was extremely late and selfish, and didnt even respect jina as his gf by ghosting her for 9 years. Thts actually such a selfish thing to do, no matter how regretful hyunkyu is, jina deserves someone who actually care , be there when she is at her lowest, and love her endlessly. Which may possibily come only from jooik.
Just giving my thoughts on this loveline, but if jina end up with hyunkyu, i might doubt her feelings as she said "the hyunkyu i liked was the 18 yr old hyunkyu" and yeah thts obv for me.
