인간과 초월적 존재의 치명적인 100일 한정 판타지 로맨스로 화제 만발인 드라마 ‘어느 날 우리 집 현관으로 멸망이 들어왔다(이하 ‘멸망’)’의 세 번째 OST ‘U’가 발매 되었다. 이번 곡에는 솔로 앨범만으로 ‘더블 밀리언 셀러’를 기록한 그룹 엑소(EXO)의 백현이 참여했다.
드라마 방영 전부터 OST 발매 소식이 알려지며 뜨거운 관심을 받아온 백현의 ‘U’는, 국내외 많은 팬들이 드라마를 함께 시청해 오며 공개되기 만을 기다려온 곡이다. ‘U’는 5화 엔딩에 삽입되며 ‘동경(박보영 분)’과 ‘멸망(서인국 분)’의 애틋하고 오묘한 감정을 탁월하게 표현해 내며 시청자들의 이목을 받았다.
‘U’는 파도가 일렁이는 듯이 감성적인 분위기의 발라드로, 두 주인공의 아련하고 온전한 사랑을 백현의 깊이 있고 보이스로 고스란히 담아냈다. 감미로운 허밍과 따뜻한 가사는 한 사람을 위해 노래하는 남자의 마음을 잘 전달해 주며, 절제미와 화려함을 오가는 오케스트라 사운드의 절묘한 하모니가 곡의 완성도를 더했다.
많은 웰메이드 작품의 OST를 제작해온 뮤직앤뉴의 ‘멸망’ OST는 또 하나의 극과 완벽하게 어우러지는 ‘명품 OST’’로서 인정받고 있다.
한편, 월화드라마 ‘어느 날 우리 집 현관으로 멸망이 들어왔다’는 사라지는 모든 것들의 이유가 되는 존재 ‘멸망’과 사라지지 않기 위해 목숨을 건 계약을 한 인간 ‘동경’의 아슬아슬한 목숨담보 판타지 로맨스로 매주 월, 화 밤 9시에 tvN에서 방송된다.
