- "The operating system on your device is modified in an unauthorised way" System Update error on android device.
Note:
This option wouldn't work on rooted device, but it can be solved if you unroot the phone.

Steps:
1. Power off the device and access recovery mode
2. Use "Wipe cache partition "
You can also use " Wipe Data/ factory reset" , if this method doesn't work. find the procedure in the 2:26
3.use "Reboot system Now" for normal start up.

if the first wipe cache partition didn't work can I cancel update. and turn on the phone without making the update??
I already did the factory reset and the superuser app still exist. Still says my device is modified and updates aren’t available. Huhu help
It said that there was an FRP lock when I opened the system recovery setting.

How it didn't work on samsung grand prime
After wipe cache partition, next time boot into recovery fail, it automatic boot normal...
It didn't work. I didn't want to delete my data because I wouldn't get them back even tho some of them will tho.

I have Galaxy S7 with tmobile and it was lost in my couch for 8 months, when I charged it and went to update I got same notification and realized it said “custom” with a lock unlocked when it powered on so I turned off and then pressed the volume up key, power key and home key at same time then it said no command of some sort so I hit home button and got this screen, I hit the clear carche one he says and confirmed yes, then used volume up button once done to reboot system which started up and didn’t show any longer the custom mode at power up so went back to settings for software update and it worked

You can't update your android version because if you Root your mobile than it will say thay your mobile is modified so i am read about all soulation so this have no any chances to update one have method but it can damage your mobile for always so we can't take chance.😧

Wipe cache partition is safe but if you want to try the second procedure, you should backup your files before doing Wipe data factory reset.
