Your web site has a disclaimer that says all led replacement bulbs are not DOT approved for on road use except in fog lamps. Am I risking being ticketed by replacing headlights with better 9007 LEDs such as the Ultra 2's?
In theory you are risking that, and we can not recommend those LEDs due to DOT Regulation. I will say that I do not know of a single cop that will go through an entire removal and install of a headlight bulb with you on the side of the road, than go to all the trouble fto find where it was made and if it is legal or not.
Thank you for commenting, I am happy to help you with this! For street use, we are unable to recommend LED or HID due to regulations, but we can get you halogen replacement recommendations! Those damn plastic retainers as you call them, once they get old enough they just break apart when you go to twist them off. Nothing that can't be replaced with movers tape though
something very important that you did not indicate, the difference in the connections of the terminals between the 9004 and the 9007 that are different, since the terminals of the low and high light are changed, you have to be very careful with the correct focus already that can cause problems in the circuit due to the watts that the line consumes
'95 Buick Roadmaster wagon. I'd don't have to say any more for anybody who owns one. The lights are atrocius. I even stepped up to some new housing which made a noticable improvement. Still, it has to be very dark out for them to be usable otherwise they are washed out. I like when a newer vehicle gets beside me going down the highway because I can see better for a while. I tried out some cheap LED's a while back and they were bright! The problem was everybody for maybe a quarter mile(on low beams) thought so too and showed it. The light went everywhere. It was embarrissing. Back to the Halogens. Later I stepped up to some Hikari Ultras. Nice and bright, much more controlled than the previous ones but they still cause way too many high beam flashes at me. On the Interstate not so bad but they are a little too much out of control driving local. It appears to me that brightness is not the problem with LED's and what I need is a good controlled beam. So HR, what 9004 bulb would have the best beam pattern that you could recommend for my RMW's "fog lights"?
For that vehicle, we have plenty of options for headlight replacements! We can not recommend LED for street use, but we can get you halogen recommendations for on the road! Which way is correct? Does the cord point down or does it point up? Is there an identifier which part of the bulb points to 3:00 and which points to 9:00 ? The bulb LEDs look the same on both sides. Are they different outputs? I assume low beam goes to the inside and high beam goes to the outside, but unless you plug them in and try it, I don’t see how you can tell beforehand. Other than plugging them in and trying them before actually installing the headlights, I’m not sure how to tell for sure.

I watch this entire video. But the answer to my question was in the last 5 seconds 😂😂🤣🤣🤣 great video tho
As long as we answered it right? 😜
something very important that you did not indicate, the difference in the connections of the terminals between the 9004 and the 9007 that are different, since the terminals of the low and high light are changed, you have to be very careful with the correct focus already that can cause problems in the circuit due to the watts that the line consumes
this is very easily fixed with an adapter!
My 2000 Toyota Tundra calls for the 9004 for the fog lights
Awesome!!!!
I ordered a new bulb for my 1996 Nissan Pathfinder but the previous bulb that it had didn’t have the plastic cover around it and fit in perfectly, however the new bulb I got doesn’t connect to the socket due to the plastic cover around it, do I need to replace the socket?
💯💯‼️‼️💯💯‼️‼️
Also worth mentioning: you CAN easily install these upside down.
So true!
How do you tell they're upside down? dumb question but asking just the same.
@@AnthonyCruzTechnoJedi If you mount them upside down the high beam will appear to be the low beam and vice-versa
@@bdtews Thank you brother! That is exactly what happened today), tomorrow I will rearrange it as it should.
GTR Ultra 2 9007.... $300.00 DAMN! I'll pass.
With lifetime warranty.
I installed Sylvania LED bulbs in my 2003 dodge ram when I turn them on the flash back-and-forth like a cop car and now my fog lights won’t turn on any suggestions? Thank you
Did you fix the flashing?
