I just wanna say that these big Ark tutorial videos are amazing, I haven’t seen anyone else make a thorough guide on how to defeat maps like this. Well done & please please make a video on all the maps 🥰
Pretty good guide. I especially liked thyla as a cave mount. It's been years since cryopods but for some reason so many people still use wolves, sabertooths or even craptors, not to mention naked runs and all that crap. Thyla is the best cave mount for majority of caves, it makes them non challenge basically. If your Thyla is not very good yet, I'd suggest bringing a vulture shoulder pet, helpful against onycs and its pretty easy to find and tame high level vultures. Anyway, good job, a good efficiency oriented guide by a guy who knows what he is talking about. It should be helpful to newer players, I too learned something new - that gas mask helps against manticore poison.
I have over 5k hours in Ark (humble brag lol sorry) I feel that gives me the experience to say you put out the best guides for this playstyle. To the point, easy to understand. Also incredibly educational for any survivor trying to tackle the game. Thanks for your content man

I would’ve mentioned the Jerboa, and how learning the sounds they make can give you advanced warning of what weather event is incoming. Taming the morella tops, for early game water woes. Also, how the helmet skin specifically comes from killing the Alpha death worm. Oh, and the Phoenix! I completed this map the first time without even knowing they were a thing!

Oh my god thank you so much i got ark ascended instead of gerting the map DLCs and after conpleteing the island and have no clue where anything is you a lifesaver!
You can and I did and the results were mixed. They dont have a good dps since they like to fly around with huge turning radius most of the time, fight takes very long, eventually they get tranqued, it's not really that great. Unless maybe you bred total monsters but then again you can breed rexes too. I think rexes might work better, gonna try them soon.
But how do we ascend from this map? Me and my friends are committed to beat all of the story maps like the island scorched aberration and extinction and so on and our goal is to ascend on every map because that’s the main goal of each map
Ascending from the map is done from just beating the main boss of the map in any difficulty. In this case the manticore boss is the only boss on the map
@@ConCon I just defeated the Alpha boss, but nothing happens. I was expecting to ascend and follow the storyline.. Do I simply upload my character, and continue on another map? Seems wrong considering the story on this map.
Especially since I asxended and had nasty gear se is kind of fun I could see how the heat would kind of kill ur fun so,etimes but I brought my tek canteen and my level 500 otter so unless it's over 110 ish degrees I'm chillen the map is WAY smaller ,high levels are more frequent, you don't need to farm caves a hundred times to alpha fight yeah loving me some SE
@@ConCon you can 100% do alpha But getting the manticore to land and not glitch out is a whole other thing.. So it’s possible but it relies on the game to be decent And sadly that is not how it works

Correct me if I‘m wrong, but I think you can use Wyverns for the Manticore bossfight, they are really useful for avoiding certain attacks
Yes you can, but I don't recommend it though since Wyverns have no saddle armor.

Amazing guide, but for the boss fight I used Arges instead of Rexs and it was a pretty far fight too

If you keep a fridge full of water it becomes uced water and its amazing for heat stroke and the area that are a little hotter to handle

you can do this boss with 8-10 rexs base tame and a yuti. prim saddles 9-10k health and 500 melee
