Another great video. The background effects that showcase the candles is so elegant. It moves colors that move completely to the candles.
Buying a higher priced candle would depend on reviews, and let’s be true, on sale before I take the leap. I understand that artist comes with price, but I need to be aware of quality before jumping. I make a wishlist for future candles based on Details Dreams’ input.
A side note: your jacket in this video is so cool. I have a faux suede duster close to the same color, it will be used more. Your whole athletics is ‘Cool,’ and enjoyable.
Great video! I’ve replaced Le Labo’s Santal candle with Lit Up Candle Co.’s version of Santal. It’s heavenly, a clean brand and super affordable. I won’t replace my D.S. & Durga scents though-I tried Breakfast Leipzig based on your recommendation and it’s heavenly!

I am learning so much about candles. My always go to candles have been from anthropology or P.F. Candle co. ( love their incense sticks) & definitely never thought expensive candles would be worth spending. But the other day I went to Jo Malone & bought one of their candle (velvet rose & OUD) after I fell in love with their diffuser.
I use to be a major Byredo fan, but the last couple of years the brand has lost me with too many releases and since Puig bought the brand, I'm worried that some of the perfumes I like is watered down. The price tags at this point is laughable esp because (in my experience) the candles don't burn well.
I still have some personal issues with Le Labo, (and DS & Durga) I don't wanna get into...let's just say I'm not a fan.
But I see why people love the brand. Santal is the smell of NYC, It's on every corner.
Astier is one of my fave brands along with Trudon and Diptyque. They do candles that is just fantastic. Even the scents I don't care for, I can still appreciate.
Do you know Perfumer H? It's a brand Lyn Harris created after she left her old brand Miller Harris, which she sold to Estée Lauder company. The candles from Perfumer H is absolutely fantastic. Candles I recommend is Ash, Ink and the new one they have done with Choosing Keeping called Paper. All gorgeous and burns very well. The house also have a hand wash with the scent of a cologne. it's so so heavenly. I love the sleek and stylish package. I can go on and on about Perfumer H.

I’ve tried all the Byredo collection💸💸Luckily price hasn’t increased here in Tokyo yet. What I find interesting is that many of the candles have a similar and complementary parfum counterpart. Carrousel = Pulp, Sweet Grass = De Los Santos, Woods = Super Cedar. Wondering if you noticed this too?
Excellent video. You have just exposed me to a number of different brands that I was not familiar with. The maker,Astire and the Harmonist Can’t wait to look those up. I love LeLabo and adore Byreddo fragrances but not the candles so much. Other favorites are Harlem candle Co, LAFCO and Diptyque. Great video

You should try olphactory candles. The scent Zulu embers is a clean masculine smooth sultry scent. My favorite at the moment.

Just bought my Harlem Candle and DS Durga. I am getting DS Durga Breakfast in Leipzig on subscription. That candle is too addictive.
I wasn't impressed with Byredo , Le Labo , & Astier . I do enjoy DS & Durga's Wild Brooklyn Lavender candle . I'm going to look into Nette & The Maker . They sound good. Great reviews .
Great reviews. I bought a replica candle on sale this weekend. I’m thinking of returning it for one a byredo candle. Thank you for turning me on to Grant St. There’s this one company I came across and was immediately turned on to their scents. It’s Essence out of Prescott, AZ. The Egyptian Moonstone and Caribbean Teakwood are amazing. And, they are under 30 USD. Again, love the videos and thank you you! Also who makes the hat in the back?
I think the company you’re referring to is Enlighten Candles in Arizona, not Essence

They are 100% paraffin wax which he is not a fan of.

I may not love every DS Durga Candle, but my god are they amazing at layering smells together. Breakfast Leipzig is my favorite candle to show people how many notes you can get in a candle. It really is beautiful.
The reason why home fragrance houses dont share exactly what is their wax blend is because thats where one of their performance secrets is :) simple as that.
I would be so happy if byredo made la tulipe into a candle. The fragrance smells exactly like I want my home to smell. 😤

Bath and body works. Get them during any sale they have. Very much worth it.
BBW burns through so quickly for me in the past. Harlem 2 wicks can burn up to 80 hrs and DS Durga 1 wick can burn up to 60hrs. I also love DS Durga fragrance more but that is my personal preference.
Big fan of MM but paraffin wax candles? Disappointed. Paraffin wax is distilled from petroleum 👎🏼
