Great Video, the effect of the smoke cloud moving along the top of the tree line and the the Hudson steaming out from behind the wall of trees is amazing. You really picked an excellent location to film from.
lol, rarely do they go sideways ;) As an aside, this locomotive is the one that nearly got me.. Rail fanning in the 1970's, and this loco was doing a museum tour. Out on the shoreline, and I barely made it of the tracks. Diesels are a lot louder on a downgrade ..
I guess Montreal Locomotive Works must've taken a few pointers from Baldwin on how to construct their smokeboxes and smokestacks--or chimneys, or funnels, or fat exhausts.
