Hey everyone, all I did was watch his GED videos from the beginning, he has about 12 and I studied for 2 months. I ended up passing the exam on my first try. Best teacher ever!!!
What score did you get sis? I need the score because I am gonna study like you, I want to know because there are grades like 145-164 passing highschool, college ready 165-174. Because if I don't get college ready schools will try to get me to answer the college entry exam and I don't want that. Pls ans
Yesterday, I traveled 60 miles away to take this test. It was my last one; if I passed I had an employer lined up, and if I didn't pass I'd be homeless. I spent the last of my money purchasing a ride there + a hotel, then waited outside for 6 hours in below-freezing temperatures getting rained on before I was able to take the test. About one mile into the 5 mile walk to my hotel, I found that the only bridge across a large river was closed for construction. It was pitch-black and I'm legally blind, plus I was carrying 40 lbs worth of supplies on my back, but I somehow managed to climb a two-story 89-degree rock slope (how's that for a math problem), made my way through the mountains, survived a rockslide, walked in the break-down lane of a busy motorway to cross the river, descended the mountains, climbed a chain-link fence, and walked 6 miles uphill in the snow before I finally arrived at my hotel around 12 am with my GPS at 15% battery. I passed. 165. All my scores are college-ready and one with credits (173 english, 180 social studies, 171 science, 165 maths) and I couldn't be happier. These videos helped immensely and I fully recommend the Organic Chemistry Tutor for all your arithmetic needs. I only had 8 days to study, and without these videos, I might've scored much worse. To those of you taking your maths GED in 2023, please be sure to study slope and graphing equations in and out-- that really saved me. Be able to add and subtract numbers in their scientific notation form, study combinations/permutations, and for the love of anything you believe in, STUDY FUNCTIONS. Not just function tables, but functions relating to word problems. I would've scored higher had I studied these more. It's not always a question of your skill at solving a problem, but your skill at recognising which one of THEIR solutions will solve the problem. Check your work, plug in known values if you're confused. You've got this, lads!
Congratulations and really appreciate you for sharing your experience!! I just wanna ask that did you prepare your test with these videos only or you used some other material as wel?

I just want to thank you for your videos. It helps me a lot. I just took my math test (first try) and pass it with a college ready + credit score (176). I understand you more than my adult class math teacher. 1 down , 3 more to go. I just want to encourage everyone on here to practice, practice, practice. Just watching somebody solve the problem is so much easier than doing it by yourself. So pause the video and try to answer it by yourself. then check if youre right if not then keep practicing. Getting Familiar with the formulas save me a lot of time. Wishing everybody to pass. GOODLUCK GUYS!!!!
I wasn't able to answer 8 questions because I ran out of time.. There were quite a few word problems and I just didn't have enough time. I was crying when I came out thinking there's no way I could pass not answering that many questions. But to my surprise I still passed with a 154 score. I was so happy😁
Took my ged test today , used this video to study for 3 days straight and whatever I found confusing I searched more into and he has the videos too for it as well so if you feel stuck search up the topic more and honestly can say I did it 😭😭🙏🏽, so for anyone that doubts themselves or thinks it’s hard It’s not just have patience with yourself and take your time you can always rewind and replay it many times until you do that’s the point of the video but in the end thanks man without these vids I wouldn’t have done it 😭
@@Authorsqweezy yea just make sure your take your time tho and anything that doesn’t make sense to search it up he has vids that go more in depth on the topic but the video should cover everything, just take notes as you go along and your mind will retain that information and if you’re committed than it should be easy , wish you the best of luck and you got this 💯💯💯
i’m 17 and failed every math class i’ve ever took in high school. passed all my ged tests the first time Tuesday . the math section is very simple. Math was my highest score. study equations and pemdas. the formula sheet has everything else you need to know. good luck everyone !! if i did it you can too!
@@Aaron-fe2ih of course if you practice long enough you can pass. I'm a living witness to that. I got my GED in March! It was a challenge with the math but I passed on my second try🙃
Guys, I just got my diploma today graduated yesterday and it took me 2 weeks to pass all the tests!!! I studied for 4 days for the math test and this video helped me soooo much. Thx u organic chemistry tutor and for everyone else, it’s possible all u have to do is want it and go get it. Good luck everyone I believe in you!!!
I took all four test today on four hours of sleep. It is crazy long and exhausting to take all at once. I scored 168 in the language, 162 in social studies, 158 in science, and 153 in math. I live in Alabama by the way. I dont know if the testing is different elsewhere. Also keep in mind that I did very little studying for language, science, and social studies. All of the practice tests and practice test videos showed that it all came down to reading comprehension. I focused my time studying algerbra. Language was definitely the easiest for me. It was mainly reading a super long paragraph and answering around 7 based on said paragraph. I think i had to read 4 or 5 of these really long paragraphs. The stories were long and boring. In the end reading comprehension is all you really needed. In the essay, you have to read a really long paragraph that has two arguments. The goal of the essay is to decide who has the better argument based on the facts that are presented. Pulling out information from the essay was easy, but the compiling of information and typing it down in my own words took forever. I'm not a fast typer or good speller so this one was hard to do before the time ran out. Science was a bitch. It had much smaller paragraphs than the language portion, but it was so harder to understand. I felt like a couldn't understand English while reading most of these paragraphs. I almost didn't finish the test in time because I just had such a hard time reading the paragraphs. It seemed to be mainly testing your reading comprehension and knowledge of how to read graphs. It also threw several questions at me that told me to use a calculator. I didnt have a clue on what to calculate so I relied on reading comprehension and critical thinking to guess. Social studies was a lot like language but a little harder. You had to read long paragraph and answer the questions based on the paragraph. You had to read paragraphs from things like presidential speechs and answer questions like "What did president mean from this statement?"or "What can we infer is the presidents standpoint from his speech?" It also talks about the different government branches and what they do. I didnt know which branches did what so I wish I had studied up on the basic government branches and how bills, laws, and acts get passed. I dont remember a ton of questions that dealt with the branches but it definitely would have upped my score if I had know the basics. For math it had a lot word problems, make an algebraic equation from the word problems, solve for x type problems, and graphs. I cant think of anything else about math. Just make sure you understand how to graph, make an algebraic equation, factor, FOIL, fractions, exponents, etc. During testing I would have rather have done another math test than science because your brain didn't turn to absolute mush during math. I am actually surprised I didn't score higher on my math. Just remember to not stress yourself out before the test and not overestimate the test in your head. Im not saying it was an easy test but it definitely wasn't as bad as my mind made it out to be. To all my fellow test anxiety people, I wish you luck! You got this!
I was only three questions away from passing after taking the math exam twice. I’m so grateful for coming across this video because now I actually get it. Thank you so very much for including all of what is needed to pass the math exam in one video. I am confident I’ll pass now

im 15 years old and will be taking the GED when i turn 16! im taking the GED to graduate high school early and go into community college early! after 2 years of cc, i will be applying to transfer to the ivy league. ill use this comment for updating my journey! feb 14 2023; today marks my journey for studying the GED :) I'll be making today all for studying math.
I took the GED Test today (online), and felt 100% certain that I was going to fail. I passed with a 150...THANK FUCK, right? Anyway, I'd like to give some tips for what I feel helped me prepare, though not necessarily "study". Khan Academy - Don't go crazy with Courses. You don't need all of the skills that exist within math, nor will you use all of them on the test. Instead go for the Basics and things YOU KNOW YOU CANNOT DO. This Video. Start with 1, take out a pad of paper and a pencil. Start taking notes and working the problems accompanying the video. Make as detailed notes as you can without getting overly complex and/or adding unnecessary details. I did the first 15, you can do more. Now, for what is specifically on the test (at least the one I took): Algebraic Expressions, and all kinds of 'em. Linear Equations, Graphing and Statistical Probability, Geometry (area and volume of shapes mostly), and lots of Decimals and Fraction problems. This video actually showcases quite a few of these skills with multiple examples. Again, find what you DON'T KNOW, and focus on that. Then refine the skills you are already familiar with.
I'm not sure if this has been mentioned already but on question 33, there are only two nines, not three. So the answer I came up with is different than the one on the screen, just FYI! Thank you for all you do, I support you on Patreon and I'm hoping that after this virus thing is over, I can go test and have the math portion of the GED in the bag!
I passed my GED math today! I watched this video two days in row, and spent almost 6 hrs. I wouldn't say it helped me 100% to get passing score , ,but i would definitely say it really helped me to summed up everything i have learnt so far and made me easier to realize what i have studied! THANK YOU!
Akua Ofori! I had some exponents, factoring, percent increase/ decrease , geometry, line and slope, fraction, basic algebra, square roots and quadratic equation! Just try to go through this video as many as possible, what I saw on the test was almost everything was in the video.

I will soon turn 29 and determined to pass the math GED on the first try. I only need math and social studies to get my long awaited high school diploma. I'm determined to turn my life around in the next following years because I'm tired of being a loser with no ambitions of life. I don't want to be in my 40s and have a mediocre job and life of regrets of not going to college.
I just passed the math part of my GED with a 147. Passed by just 2 points lol. Special thanks to you for putting together this video. I only watched the first 30 minutes and it helped me get the right answers on 3 of the questions. Special thanks to you.

@@XxToxicLemonzXx it wasn't too hard for me, i scored well on everything. I got the lowest score on math, but still passed. I did a review study for a couple hours before I took the math test. It really helped 😃
This video is amazing. You don't over-explain and make it complicated but you still explain it properly to where it's actually understandable. Thank you!
Some of these multiple-choice questions can be solved using logic, which is why I quickly look over the possible answers before I start calculating. Question #15 at 32:00 is a good example of this. I see almost instantly that I can factor out a (2x) from all three terms. Only one answer, C), has a (2x) as part of the solution. So I know that C) MUST be the answer, and I don't have to waste time by finishing the calculation. If there were more than one solution with a (2x) in it, then I'd have to continue the calculation. But that's not the case here and so I can quickly move on.
I just wanted to tell you that you do an amazing job teaching. I watched a few of your videos and I was able to understand your teaching and get my ged. Keep up the good work! Thank you! ❤️

Watched this about ten times, took the test a few days ago and passed....and I missed the last three questions due to time bad management. Thank man!
how much time did you study before taking the test? Also did you just use this video?
@@jaroblaperna3056 the timing depends on you and your free schedule and yeah he did use this video
Hey, how difficult was the math portion of the test? I heard it was easier than expected
I wasn't able to answer 8 questions because I ran out of time.. There were quite a few word problems and I just didn't have enough time. I was crying when I came out thinking there's no way I could pass not answering that many questions. But to my surprise I still passed with a 154 score. I was so happy😁
I will try to do the same.
Took my ged test today , used this video to study for 3 days straight and whatever I found confusing I searched more into and he has the videos too for it as well so if you feel stuck search up the topic more and honestly can say I did it 😭😭🙏🏽, so for anyone that doubts themselves or thinks it’s hard
It’s not just have patience with yourself and take your time you can always rewind and replay it many times until you do that’s the point of the video but in the end thanks man without these vids I wouldn’t have done it 😭
Dude awesome job
So its okay if I only study this video?
@@Authorsqweezy yea just make sure your take your time tho and anything that doesn’t make sense to search it up he has vids that go more in depth on the topic but the video should cover everything, just take notes as you go along and your mind will retain that information and if you’re committed than it should be easy , wish you the best of luck and you got this 💯💯💯
i’m 17 and failed every math class i’ve ever took in high school. passed all my ged tests the first time Tuesday . the math section is very simple. Math was my highest score. study equations and pemdas. the formula sheet has everything else you need to know. good luck everyone !! if i did it you can too!
how hard was the writeing part
Are you taking normal math or hard math, I'm taking ap calculus Ab and bc so that's gonna be hard.
It comes easy to you since you're 17. For others whom been out for several years is a different story
@@prioleau2012 but people who work hard could pass all their math since I did good in all my classes
Passed my math GED test! All because of this guy, what a genius. Thank you so much. Now I OFFICIALLY have my GED. Yay
I am confident I’ll pass now

just passed with a 186 score. THANK YOU!!!!
Thank you.
That was very helpful, Thank You!
Do you know of any study guides with questions/ answers that might give more insight to the exam prep?
@@proudcanadian1336 Take a practice test more and more, that helps a lot. You'll get the idea.
This video is amazing. You don't over-explain and make it complicated but you still explain it properly to where it's actually understandable. Thank you!
Let me know if you need some more help
Thank you! ❤️
Thank you for video. Mistake on 1:33:08. It is only two 9's, not three 9's. Then Median = 7, Mean = 87/13=6.69
