  • Registration and protection of designs in India are regulated by the Designs Act, 2000 and the Design Rules that were enacted in 2001. The Design Act of 2000 is an Act to consolidate and amend the law relating to the protection of designs. Its main objective is to protect new or original designs from getting copied which causes loss to the proprietor.
In this video Legal Bites Academy and Adv. Nikita Pandit bring to its viewers the concept of design and its registration process along with the infringement and remedies in the Indian law with the help of case laws.
