Definitely have to get this Kit. The RG Unicorn is my favorite kit of all time at the current moment and while the Unicorn is also one of my favorite Gundams of all time and I would like to see it remain my favorite kit, I would love to see any kit that could challenge it. On another note, I don't know what type of modeler you are KrowSama. But if you like playing around with your gundams rather than just picking a pose and leaving it there forever, I highly recommend using Traxxas Shock Lube for the shoulder joints of the RG Unicorn if you get it. It made loosening the joints way, way, way, easier and now I can move the joints without worrying about breaking it. Also I did this with my RG Banshee and it loosened the joints while still being able to hold the Beam Magnum with the bayonet attatched as well as the heavier shield with no problems
Do it in Nu/Hi Nu colors.. and then when they do a RG Nu, you can do that in Sazabi colors. I love enemy color swaps. Plus a white and blue/purple Sazabi would be sweet.. like a bulky HWS Hi Nu look
I’m honestly so excited to get my RG Sazabi next week. The videos I’ve watched kept making me worry about the shoulder so I keep freaking out of how imma build it and not break it. But your review is making me less worried and it’s reassuring that you have no issues
Best overall quality for gunpla on this channel. Very informative (both kit and lore-wise) and finally. Finally someone who's fantastic at posing gunpla and good at getting those CINEMATIC angles. Gunpla's becoming a waning hobby for me, super glad I fojnd this channel in spite of that!
Honestly, The Sazabi is my favorite mobile suit. Imagine the menace of this suit being a real machine. The aspects of a Samurai turned into a destructive machine is compelling. The esthetics are gorgeous. I am rough around the edges with my modeling skills. I have not worked on one for years. I am breaking ground on the Sunanju R.G. Once I am finished, I am going to start on The Sazabi. I am going to air brush it and go full detailed on the mechanics and panel lining. The Sazabi will be the apex of my modeling experiences. From a Boeing 747 to the Sazabi is a long road for me. As I prepare for this task, I make notes of various machines, design ideas, and functiionality of machine parts. I carry a notebook to conceptualize my approach. Good luck everyone. This is a beautiful and soothing hobby. Few have the patience to this right.
Actually I think that's Bandai strategy, releasing FA Unicorn first so they have more time and resources to focus on designing and engineering the Nu gundam. I actually appriciate that, I could wait a little longer for a great, solid RG Nu like this Sazabi.

i sold my unbuilt sazabi ver ka and bought this kit and had no regrets. however, the kit takes a while to plan and paint modularly as some sections like the pistons at the elbows require more thought as if you painted the pistons, the chances of them hindering articulation or having the paint scratched off is high. but i love the engineering in this kit and i hope bandai continues to put such great work into future non gundam kits eg. RG kampfer, gouf, zaku etc

I did NOT survive the shoulder joint accident, but nothing a generous dab of super glue can't fix, and didn't make the build the least bit fun, loved building it and adding stickers.
Bandai set the standard with the RG Unicorn. When you do build it make sure you work the shoulder joints and the moving parts of the shoulder pads. They're very stiff...and you might want to glue the inner thigh armor. On mine it would pop off during transformation.
This one is in my backlog, RG is my favorite line to build thus far, even over master grade. There just aren't a lot of them out there. I have a feeling this will be a close second to the RG Hi Nu I finished recently.
i just built mine a while ago and its a really fun build. the only negative thing i can say about this kit is that the hands' ball joint are pretty hard to remove sometimes. the trigger hand and the beam saber hands are particularly hard to insert because the ball joint swivels on those pieces. i almost broke the trigger finger on one of the hands while i was inserting it to the arm. fixed it with superglue and its not even noticeable. other than that this is a REALLY solid kit. this and the RG Zeong are very fun builds. wish bandai would release more RG zeon kits instead of the rx-78 for the 100th time
Even though I was aggravated about FA Unicorn coming next in a previous comment. I understand the wait for Nu Gundam. Like the Sazabi, it will require an all new frame seperate from all previous RG models. Nu Gundam is also a massive MS with proportions unlike any RG before it. Don't compare Unicorn, though tall, it's proportions were still smaller. Oh it will so be worth the wait to pose Sazabi and Nu Gundam together.
I believe the feet engineering would confirm an RG kshatriya. If only though or an mg. i feel like after seeing this kit though it proves bandai has the ability to do it
If anything, its the shoulder that is probably a little small, But i will argue it makes it more proportional (at least compared to ver.ka)...wish they would make it into 1/100 cuz as much as i love my ver.ka it does look weird sometimes in certain areas/angles. It looks a bit bulky
Imagine his happiness when the nu gundam rg came out that year after the sazabi rg did lol!! I started out with the 2 rg bois. I now have the mg saz ver ka but havnt been able to afford the mg nu yet. The last few years of tue rg line have been pure bliss, like mini master grades!!
lmao，had three real grades, gp01, gp01FB and zeta, never had issues, so i really don't know if I just get consistently lucky or the loosen up issue was blown out of proportion

You gotta get both. MG was an incredible build. It's the king of my master grades. Simply awesome.....can't wait for my RG to compare the 2 side by side!
Ok i just finshed building this and I'll say it's damn good. Only nag i have is i wish they used a darker red and not the pinkish color. Now imo the RG Unicorn and Banshee Norn is better because of it's transformation and sturdiness. The Sazabi for the most part is a MG under the RG title. I will say its a must get for your RG collection.
Now only the Zeong and Hyaku Shiki to go and you now have all of Char's MS (at least the main ones) in the RG line. I would have preferred it if the Zeon symbol on the shield is gold-plated much like the RG Sinanju's gold parts. But I guess that may be asking for too much already?
TheKrowSama yeah.. I love RGs and I loved the Saz Ver Ka, but it felt like.. not a RG, but a simplified MG. Plus, it had a few things that bugged me (funnel racks exploding, lower elbow looks terrible, long thighs, tiny torso) that ruined it for me. It’s my least favorite RG.. but Zetas my favorite (7 strong!) so my opinion isn’t very valid XD
I just built one. It's surprisingly easy to build for a rg considering all the gimmicks built into this. Another good first rg is the astray red frame.
i already built 3 unicorns and 2 banshee norns, i never get tired of the build experience. just be careful with the arms, that thing can really snap if handled roughly oh, and i suggest you build the bande dessinee version instead of the regular one

It's not accurate to the line-art at all.. But the entire point of real grade was to deviate from the line art and make something that looks more real.
All the worries for this and many other kits are largely unsubstantiated and are really because a certain reviewer with high sub count constantly breaks kits while snap building and people immediately start disqualifying the kit...

I've built both the pg exia and rg unicorn. Both are fantastic solid kits with amazing detail. Gonna build this next
The rg unicorn is hell. I just dont even bother posing it. Everything is so stiff

Yes! Too many people out there break kits because they don’t handle the properly, and they blame the manufacturer.

Yeah...i have all 3. The OO Raiser is my favorite RG kit but the unicorn and banshee norn are the best RG's to date. This is second only to them.
