It hasn’t skipped a beat even with the triple digit temperatures we’ve been getting here. Definitely the most worry free and overbuilt vehicle I have ever owned.

Beautiful example you’ve got there. I bought my 2000 black on black UCF20 for $5300 with 93k miles on it back in 2021. One of the best cars EVER made. Welcome to the club. Subbed

Thanks! Mine isn’t the cleanest example out there with its faded paint and it’s quirks but I think I got a good deal at $3,000 just because of the mileage and how clean the chassis is

Literally just picked one up a couple day’s ago for an unbelievable deal 😅 .. 247,xxx absolutely zero rust not even at the quarter or windshield like usually , every feature works like new ice cube ac - banging system heated seats chrome factory’s it feels like a new car with 27k 😂 .. rides like a luxury tank been chasing one of these since like 2018 & was expecting to pay at least $4-6k ( yk the market ) been saving & scraping my ass off for one of these I’m still pinching myself still can’t believe i own & am behind the wheel of one of these cars all for a thousand bucks … haven’t made a video , post or anything still can’t believe this haha Hopefully this is my last car for a while I’ve had double digit cars I need something that’ll last never had any thing Toyota let alone Lexus hopefully this thing doesn’t take a shit on me 🙏🙏

I grabbed a 90’ Ls400 for $10k with under 90k miles, anyone that reads this lmk if you think that’s a deal or if I got ripped off (yes I understand they are old. But I bought it in April so I’ve owned for 4 months and it’s given 0 issues)

Great car! You paid a fair price because it is rare to find these cars in great condition. Most that I have seen have been lowered and stupid wheels and all kinds of mods,to each there own but to keep somthing original at this point actually stands out to me. Enjoy this car I am jealous!

If the paint is good and it has good maintenance history absolutely a great deal! Make sure the timing belt has been done

Thank you for the video, going to test drive a 99 on Saturday, they are asking 3000, 128,000 miles, it is gold, two little dings, it’s an awesome shape, I am in Tucson, I will follow your videos, hopefully we can stay in touch to see how we do with our cars. I am curious to know where you got your timing belt kit? Thanks I saw a video about these cars the guy that did the videos said that it is hard to get parts for this car, what have you noticed so far?

It is pretty easy to get parts in my experience. Most of the drivetrain components are shared with other Toyota and Lexus vehicles so that stuff is plentiful. I got my timing kit on Amazon and the crank seal I got from Toyota. If you have trouble finding that stuff, the whole timing system is exactly identical to the 4.3L (3UZ) and the 4.7L (2UZ). So the same timing kit will fit this car, and most Toyota trucks from the early 2000s

I have had 4 UCF10 LS400s, and a Toyota Celsior (JDM LS400), my first 90 LS400 I got for 650 bucks it was headed to the junkyard but I saved it and all it needed was 4 new tires and a good cleaning, my current 1990 LS400 burgundy pearl on burgundy one of the most rare LS400 colors to exist only a few hundred made, with almost 300k miles.
I also find it odd that you can’t fit in the back seat, Im 6’1 and can lay back perfectly fine in the backseat, maybe the 98s+ are different in interior space.

That is strange. I’ve heard that sunroof models have significantly less head space than the slicktop cars, but I wonder if they changed things for 1998+

@@slushboxermy Celsior had no sunroof, I can conclude that the roof is the same as a sunroof model.
