- Power Book 2 Ghost Season 4 Episode 1 set up a lot of storylines, but one in particular involves around the Tejada's. With the events of Power Book 2 Ghost Season 3 with Dru and Diana's betrayal, it's all finely poised for a showdown with the family and two in particular, Cane and Dru. In this breakdown, I run through an exclusive teaser for Power Book 2 Ghost Season 4 involving Dru and Cane, but why there can only be one winner come the end of Ghost Season 4, which in my opinion is Cane Tejada.

the thing about cane is despite everything he IS a family man. while his father killed his half brother, he may have used it as an opportunity to flex on him and temporarily take the throne but he never sought to kill him. and after lorenzo protected him he realized even more how important family is. Diana is the same way. Dru on the other hand has lost way too much all at once and in the worst ways. so natrualy hes become bitter and heartless. Cane is built to handle these things and has a level of maturity to him while dru initially seemed like he had that maturity it soon became clear he didnt when things started getting taken from him. I love how power does these switch ups with siblings in the universes. started cane off as wreckless and dru as next in line for the throne and now its the other way around. they did the same with marvin and lou. guess older brothers do win in the end (not ronnie tho]

I don’t remember Cane doing anything snake like accept to Tariq other than that he’s always solid and I think Tariq respects that but he so stuck on being against Tariq it just blinds him from seeing that they are better off as a team than enemies.

Im digging the crazy Dru this season. Him with the facial hair grown out, he looks feral.
But I do believe Cane has the upper hand at all times with him. Post-Mecca Cane is becoming an intelligent force to be reckoned with.
if cane survives this and goes off on his own I believe he has the potential to be on Tommy's level. He can fight, he's a good shot, loves the street hustle and like tommy didn't start off with too much brains, bit gradually became more intelligent. and when they are like that they are forces to be reckoned with. But cane gotta go off on his own to reach his true potential. family is what's holding him back (and his hatred for tariq)

Exactly! Hopefully the writers get this right because for the exact reasons you stated, Dru should take Cane out. Especially since it seems like a forgone conclusion that Cane will beat Dru. It will break the internet if Dru kills Cane

The second Tariq and Monae have a conversation Moné will dead, any aggravation towards towards Tariq The thing that people really miss about their relationship is Tariq always hold Moné down up until the point where she lost her mind and started bossing him around like he was one of her kids. Outside of the stuff he did with his family. Tariq has always been overly loyal to the people that are loyal to him. The only reason he did what he did with Canaan was because his mother was in danger and she trumps everyone even his dad.

Diana IS pregnant and she IS moving on to the next book. I’m 100% convinced. I don’t believe it is a coincidence that she and Tariq are in the clinic together, or that Diana and Monet are shopping at the baby store. No coincidences here. I actually like Diana’s character and there are many directions the writers can take her character.

I wonder if this last realization about Dru and Diana will be enough to finally put Cane in the orbit of Tariq. His father killed his brother, his mother killed his father, and his brother and sister tried to kill his mother. In none of those cases did he end up killing any family, it's doubtful that he'll kill Dru or Diana, but he always comes out hating Tariq for all things. Something has to give. Just gotta hope that the truth about it being Tasha doesnt come out.

This would take a different turn for Monet because she needs Cane more than the other kids which is why it would hurt her way more than losing Dru. Remember, Cane is way more useful to Monet than Dru. I would want Cane to come out on top but never underestimate the underdog.

The writing is what frustrates me about this show sometimes. Dru and Cane both need to be taken out but if Tariq isn’t the one to do it then what’s the point of all this. Why prop him up and make it seem like he’s gonna handle all his work just for someone else to do it.

There's been a complete role reversal since then. Dru has made some really reckless decisions e.g. Attacking the Russians after Lorenzo's death risking a war, not even being able to hold Becca. Cane isn't perfect either, but he's more family first and matured a lot more than Dru has

From a writer’s standpoint, it would make a much better storyline if Dru kills Cane since everyone pretty much sees it as a foregone conclusion that Cane will take out Dru.
