We have been running the Lely/Welger 245 rp for past 5 seasons. The front half is the same as yours. Been an excellent rig. Silage or hay. The drop floor clears plugs as fast as you can push the buttons. Love it!
I demoed a vermeer 604 a couple years ago I pluged it 3 times in the first feild I hooked back to my deere and was back going that new baler looks alot better built
did the dry hay kit fix the problem, i bought a 504 gen 3 and just experienced the same problem, had a neighbor send one back because of it. they told me to slow the pto speed down. the highest speed i could run was 420 rpm. after doing this it stopped spitting the hay out and i could go as fast as i wanted to run and still make tight bales
@@nalley6815 the one closet to the truck, he was driving beside it filming were you not paying attention?! Damn man real simple or do I need to go get the exact minute for you??
We get that and a tight bale at 68 inches when we wrap the bale. Maybe 1500. I just bought the baler. It’s a 2019 had less than 3000 bales on it. My brother forgot to check the weight.
My Son was pretty good this year at picking windows of long enough periods to store rain free hay.......We cut on 5 to 6 week cycles.....We only had about 20 acres that instead of cutting 9/2 it had to go to 9/24..... We baled it 9/27.... hauled and stacked under shed 10/1..... Usually yields about 45 bales this cutting 63.....Vermeer doesn't have the dealer involvement in our area that Deere has.... so that's what we use.....
When a pipe disconnects from the grease autolube system is it possible to maintain pressure to all the other parts or does the grease take the path of least resistance?
This machine has auto oiler not lube, the pipes all run back to a bank of grease zerks that feed each line independently. Just grease in one location but each bearing independent.
I build John Deere round balers here in ottumwa Iowa. I’ve seen the quality in both Deere and Vermeer balers and Deeres quality beats any other baler on the market. Just my 2 cents. Nice baler though.

Thanks for buying Vermeer!

You made a good decision
Glad to see you all getting along better. Time is money!
That's a fact
Good luck baling your hat Dane and your Dad
We have a 605n that will run circles around that 604
That rake is awesome
My New Holland spits the hay out the top the same way, figured out when it starts spitting out hay it's too dry to be baling anyway

How do you put the PTO to the Baylor off of that deal? Do you have an orbit motor running the Baylor or how is it made her work off the rake
Another great video Sir. God Bless y'all
Is it just me or were you dragging the baler wheel when you were driving beside it? Doesn’t look like it was spinning

@@s.hinote2984 Theres 4 wheels on that baler. Don’t be a smartass. You don’t want me to embarrass you son
Can you tell us more about your rake in front of the bailer?
Made in the USA nice
Can you explain why your old 604 won’t handle 5-7 bales per acre?
Why did you purchase a silage baler for south Texas
Silage baler uses allot more hp I would think
Because it's a beast. We have the horsepower.
What makes a baler a silage baler? From my experices you can bale silage with any baler.
@@benjaminbauer4883 It has chopping knives, to chop/crimp the hay for silage. But yes you can bale silage with a regular baler
Is the older baler still for sale?
If you ever want to take a tour of the Vermeer factory, definitely worth the trip, Amazing Facility
I'd like to one day
Where is it located?
@@terryalextexas8638 Pella, Iowa.
Nice keep up the good work
bring that 604N to kentucky and ill buy it 😂
Any difference in bale weight between the n and pro? I find that my 605n Baler don’t make very heavy tight bales
How heavy are they? I have a 605N and they are heavy and tight. That’s grass hay.

Definitely heavier. Much heavier.

I work at Vermeer in Pella. Lely is building it's US headquarters in Pella just down the road from Vermeer.

In your opinion, how does the Vermeer baler compare to the John Deere you used to have?
How big is the pickup reel on that thing? The doors on that thing are amazing.
Big bugger, actually got bigger as came off the trailer…
Tires on the new baler don't look like they're rolling.

Like the Baler - love the the tractors. Quad for baling
P.s. for cutting?
Yes. Power shift on the mower
Whats the price on a new one of these balers 🤑

Do Deere round balers have a drop pan? If so what model thank you I hate plugging.
I believe all 0 series balers do except for the 450e economy baler. I would not recommend that piece of junk to anyone.
