- We are at Moses Hill in Magnet Cove, Arkansas, with Avant Mining, and The Crystal Collector is on the hunt for rare brookite crystals on massive smoky quartz clusters! 🔥💎
Moses Hill is part of the Magnet Cove igneous complex, a unique geological area known for producing rare minerals. Brookite, a titanium dioxide crystal, forms in sharp, tabular shapes and ranges in color from reddish-brown to black. Finding it perched on smoky quartz, known for its deep brown to black hues, makes for truly stunning specimens that collectors dream of!
This location is private and closed for future public digging.
A huge shoutout to my brand-new editor, Bailey Sanders! 🎬👏 He’s an excellent editor, and I’m super excited to start working with him to bring you even better crystal-hunting content!

The crystal pull reveal at 24:00 is a dream!
Yea it’s a wild find!!! 💎💜💎💎
That thing is art!!!
Thanks y’all so much getting ready for videos every week!!! Whaaaaat!!
How exciting! Can't wait!!🙌
will it still be open to digging in july this year??
I commented on the turqoise video..im planning on coming to Arkansas to dig in june or july.
@@desckUgah000nope! The lease is up on this property the end of February. Then they are building here. Surely we will be digging somewhere else though!
Do you get to keep what you find or does the owner decide what you get in these situations.
I love the way you make young ones proud of their finds. You are a sweetheart.
I noticed that!! 10/10
I miss you spraying all the crystals at the end, showing us them-all clean!
I get so excited when you release a new vid!! Thank you 🙏
Hello! I seen your truck pass through memphis and I had subscribed I love crystals!! This is so cool!!
Piece number 1 The lady has the beauty!!
This was a really great video Bryan. Nice combo of the other diggers in the beginning and then great segments of you digging. From your tease FB Reels, I had no idea you found all this! But after finding TWO giant points, I think you can’t call those 8”-10” huge or massive anymore. Or keep them and use gigantic or humongous for the other two. I know you’ve found clusters larger than those elsewhere but I love your joy no matter who pulls a good crystal of any size. And you’re so sweet to the kids. I strive to emulate that with my “Mermaidens” (little girls 6-11 who swim with me in the summer). We swim, talk, play in the water; I give them crystals and try to teach them to the best of my limited knowledge about them. This video must have been difficult since it covered several weeks of footage, but it was quite the show and I just loved it. I know I’ll never make it out there, but somewhere else someday. I hope this weekend brings just as much jubilation! Peace, my friend. 🙏🏼💜💎⛏️🪨
I could do that every day.
Whaaaaaaaaaaaaat?!!! Brookite yall. I love rocks.
It’s almost comical how huge this crystal is. Insane location. Love it
Seems like Matrix is the guardian of the Crystal forest you’re on. Whaaaat!
Yes, he does like to guard things and sit up top and be a lookout 😆 🐶
Awesome video Bryan!
Those are some dream pieces!
Nolan looks kind of like Weird Al Yankovic back in the 80's. Great job everyone! 👍
Mind blown 🤯🤯🤯 and I’m only 1:12 secs in
Wow, what an amazing week! So much fun to watch. I can feel the excitement!
Thanks for the geological explanation at the beginning of the video. Great finds!
Welcome back. Greetings from Poland.
I love piece #1 with Brookite
This makes me happy ! I love seeing all the smiles and amazing crystals ! ❤
Hi, Brian. Whaaaaat 👍👍👍
Nice! I love when you come out with vids, such a joy to watch you, your buds, and Matrix adventure across America!
Holy moly, I've never seen anything like this before! This is surreal just to watch, and I bet it was even more surreal to be there.
You sir, are living the dream!
Cheers from Denmark!
Some of the best crystals I've ever seen!
So fun digging there. Very grateful we had the opportunity to do so. Great job on the video Bailey!!
This dig was outstanding and the amount of gigantic smokeys being pulled blew my mind!! Would love to have one of the pieces from this dig, beautiful crystals. Thanks for the video!
Sweet dig!!!
I'm completely blown away 😂 I thought I was finding good points, truly amazing 👏 much love from Pennsylvania ❤
Amazing finds like always! Give little adorable Matrix my love 🙏♥️ stay safe always!
Love the glasses and the gray Mr. collector! ❤
Gotta love the long hair !
I am itching to dig! Hello from Maine!💎🤩👏💖
piece #1 for the win😊
What a crazy sight. Something I may never see. I dream about it though. I have been lucky enough to find a massive 4-5 lb Lake Superior agate. It's a little bigger than a soft ball. That is my once in a life time. Always love watching the places you go and things you find. Your all like kids in a candy store.
The cluster you pulled out at 13:01 will make a beautiful display piece. And of course $$ cha-ching! $$.
Lovely 😊❤
👀Damn talk about Good Dig Finds
Cant wait see Cleanup video
I like watching your videos. You're great finding crystal.
That was insane
It’s been about 2-3 years since I commented & idk but you look soooooo good!! Sooooo healthy!! Marry me😩🫶🏽
glad to see you made it to Magnet Cover, which is the area I did my Master's thesis research (carbonatites)
WOW, I had not idea crystals that size could be found in our area!!!!!!
That’s incredible!!
It would be great if you wrote a book on how you got started. I’ll be the first to buy. 🥰
Amazing Crystals
Piece #1 all the way!
Amazing discovery
Piece #1 is awesome-est lol!
Absolutely insane earth makes these tresures!
Wow those are some awesome crystals ❤
Once in a lifetime for us. Every week for you!! lol.
😝 😂 yeah I guess it can feel that way sometimes, I never show the hours and hours of driving and looking around for them 🫣😅🤪
Fantastic!!!
Excellent finds, everyone! It was great trying to spot so many friends either being featured, or in the backgrounds of the edits. The crystals were AWESOME! Such a neat and unique location and finds!! I'm picking up my daughter from her college next weekend, otherwise I would be down there joining y'all on the 8th for one last dig.
amazing finds WWWWHHHHAAAATTTT
That’s just insane! ❤
🔥🔥🔥🔥
I learn so much watching your channel. Appreciate you!😊
I appreciate you watching! 🙏💜💎
Lets go
13:22 cutest little dog
Top my friends
Gosto muito dos seus vídeos esse cachorrinho é a coisa mais linda do mundo e as pedras são muito bonita
SWEET finds, so why is it going to be shut down ?
How come they are closing down this section when the crystals seems to be so prolific and amazing?😊
That’s my question also!
Because the host of this video paid them off, for exclusive privileges to dig it. He'll make big bucks selling it to collectors overseas.
Awesome ❤
Didn’t know there was an event happening and despite already planning a trip down in that area (Mt Ida) at the end of this month I’m gonna take a quick weekend trip just for this.
❤❤❤
Nice to see a video from you.
Isn't this planet amazing!?❤❤❤
You could make a 4 hour video here and I’d be there for every second of it.
Thank you so much bro!
I love rock hounding
I can't make the Feb. 8th dig, but I look forward to a Spring dig. Thank you Brian for all of the information you pass along. It's always so informative!. When was this dig filmed? You are in a T-shirt!
Hi! How do I find out about the dig on Feb. 8th? Thanks!
Super,Super
Love your videos! I’m not sure what camera you use, but you should try a polarized filter, it will get rid of most of the glare from the crystals so they can be seen in all of their glory without being overexposed.
Just seen your truck driving through little rock and had to check you out!!!
Watcher of "January 31, 2025" here! Awesome video! RUclips's Gem and Mineral feed wouldn't exist without you!
It means so much to have you watching, Thanks for the kind words!
Wow
Hey @TheCrystalCollector was this done by the new editor? It is really enjoyable to watch! Love the hard-work and gritty cowboy feel.
you win
Nice!
It's a very unusual shape for brookites... I have always seen them form thin plates, not thick bi-pyramids like that. Are you sure it's not anatase instead ? Same chemical composition, but the shape is exactly like the ones you found. It's rarer that brookite and the only difference is that it crystalises at higher temperatures. I have found both minerals in the alps in nice quantities so that's why I have some doubts.
Love watching your videos, we dont find this in Australia. Too old and crippled up to come over there and dig😢
Welcome back. Missed your videos. How can I join your trips?
I have a Facebook page that I post most of my events, we are doing this location one last time next Saturday. I also do more private smaller digs with my clubhouse group, which is the membership program here on RUclips.
@@TheCrystalCollectorhow much does it cost and can anyone join you next Saturday?
👍🖐❤️
😊👍
I chose #1 I think it is a better looking piece
Nice work Bailey in the editing!!!!! The new content is just great as far as education on how crystals are formed. Well done guys!!
😱
Bryan how come the mine won't be around anymore? I'm behind watching your videos as my health has not been so good and just started watching again trying to catch up.
Avant Mining had a year lease only location, and it runs out in a month, we are doing one more dig next Saturday for the public and that will be it. It is a really small deposit so it is about finished.
@@TheCrystalCollector Aww that's so sad for Avant Mining. They have been so much apart of your digs there. I wish I could join you all. Physically I can't but I'll be there in spirit.
#1
That quartz is bigger than matrix.
😍🤩👍👍🥳🥳🥳
Why is it closing ?
Avant money had a year lease and it is running out towards the end of the month, what would you be doing one more public event here on 8 February which is next Saturday. You could find more info out on the Facebook page.
What would a crystal that size be worth
I’m really not sure, I know at least 10 K, just because it’s one of the largest, if not the largest and its condition to be found in Arkansas that smoky
As someone just learning about this cool stuff, and trying to teach my daughter, how do you find these ? and is there any like this ever in Ontario Canada? I have so many questions about this stuff
Every location around the world has a different type of minerals and crystals available. I’ve done a few videos in Canada, you may want to check them out, there’s a lot of places to go dig for Crystals there!
@@TheCrystalCollector Ive watched the videos in Canada already, kinda binged most of them one day lol. How do you find out about them before hand to go? How much do they cost? I know a few places here in Ontario from your previous vids but even in the US close to the border would be worth a drive. Just have to find out how to know about these cool events with enough notice
@@thacorruptor4472 hi there, geologist from NY here. To be honest it may be better to buy a few Roadside Geology books and mineral collecting books and simply go exploring with your daughter! She would love it. You may not find giant crystals but even a few small ones would be awesome. There are great sites in northern NY and Herkimer diamond mines around Herkimer NY. Maine also has a ton of great sites.
I Google phrases like "public dig crystals Arkansas" and "public dig Trilobites Wyoming/Utah" to find pay-to-dig sites in the U.S. Also, local, county, and state rockhounding groups are great resources.
@ most sites are not public dig sites. You need to find the location and knock on a door and ask permission. Usually they say yes to looking around.
Why would they be closing that site if it's got more crystals?
5:55 you know what else is massive
Noice.
How do you get in on some of these digs. I would love to be a part of it
Is there any way there going to reopen for digs I would love to find some beautiful crystals like that I've been looking for a great place but being in Oklahoma we don't have much to look for, any way you can point me to a place out here to find something cool
Piece 1 looks better to me.
#1 Is my choice. Too bad they are closing Magnet Cove. That is so sad.
