  • We are at Moses Hill in Magnet Cove, Arkansas, with Avant Mining, and The Crystal Collector is on the hunt for rare brookite crystals on massive smoky quartz clusters! 🔥💎
Moses Hill is part of the Magnet Cove igneous complex, a unique geological area known for producing rare minerals. Brookite, a titanium dioxide crystal, forms in sharp, tabular shapes and ranges in color from reddish-brown to black. Finding it perched on smoky quartz, known for its deep brown to black hues, makes for truly stunning specimens that collectors dream of!
This location is private and closed for future public digging.
A huge shoutout to my brand-new editor, Bailey Sanders! 🎬👏 He’s an excellent editor, and I’m super excited to start working with him to bring you even better crystal-hunting content!

This was a really great video Bryan. Nice combo of the other diggers in the beginning and then great segments of you digging. From your tease FB Reels, I had no idea you found all this! But after finding TWO giant points, I think you can’t call those 8”-10” huge or massive anymore. Or keep them and use gigantic or humongous for the other two. I know you’ve found clusters larger than those elsewhere but I love your joy no matter who pulls a good crystal of any size. And you’re so sweet to the kids. I strive to emulate that with my “Mermaidens” (little girls 6-11 who swim with me in the summer). We swim, talk, play in the water; I give them crystals and try to teach them to the best of my limited knowledge about them. This video must have been difficult since it covered several weeks of footage, but it was quite the show and I just loved it. I know I’ll never make it out there, but somewhere else someday. I hope this weekend brings just as much jubilation! Peace, my friend. 🙏🏼💜💎⛏️🪨

It's a very unusual shape for brookites... I have always seen them form thin plates, not thick bi-pyramids like that. Are you sure it's not anatase instead ? Same chemical composition, but the shape is exactly like the ones you found. It's rarer that brookite and the only difference is that it crystalises at higher temperatures. I have found both minerals in the alps in nice quantities so that's why I have some doubts.
