Another note for those who are still learning. If you're level 40 and you're on chaos level 1 and you get a 'chaotic' gear piece. You don't need to worry about switching it out. Since unlike mayhem modes. There aren't different 'tiers' of chaotic gear beyond volatile. So that one piece of a gear that you really like at level 40 that's chaotic. You can still be more than happy to use all throughout your run until you get a volatile piece at level 20.

It will be JUST AS POWERFUL on chaos level 20, since all chaos gear essentially drops at the same 'level', no matter which level you're on. The only different is the RATE at which they drop. Volitiale gear drops at 1% on chaos 20, and doesn't drop at all on anything below, Which is why you want to get to chaos level 20, so you can farm for Volitile gear.
I know I could level up my chaos lvl faster, but I take my time because it is the only thing left in the game since there is no "true hunter mode" like in Borderlands (to my chagrin). I know that as soon as I get to lvl 20, I might do 3 or 4 more runs, but I'll get bored since getting better gear is just a number at that point, so I'll stop playing until a new DLC comes out.

yeah, i played in a friends lobby on chaos 20, got one spell, went back down to chaos 1 on my game, and got the same spell, and the only difference was that the chaos 1 spell had 30 lower damage and 3% higher crit chance. also therers no point to not get the currency because the bunnies are the best way to farm volatile and chaotic loot.
Awesome video as always, but I am a bit confused. You said that while going up Chaos levels to not worry about drops so much because you will be retiring them, but if you are lucky enough to have a Chaotic legendary drop in Chaos 0, it is no different than it dropping in Chaos 20, correct?
It's different! You should always check gear for upgrades (should have said this better in video) it's just not worth farming unless you absolutely need something because your build is to weak!

I also got my Buffmeister at Chaos 5, and I got to Chaos 10 with literally zero effort. I hate when people throw around the nerf hammer, but the buffmeister glitch really needs to be fixed lol

Honestly, I did not find this to be great advice. The moment I completed my first chaos trial on level 40 I was granted a Chaotic Legendary that could feasibly carry me through the game. Buttstalion's random blessings are almost useless... pretty much avoid that at all costs. Occasionally she will give you points into something useful, but it is so hit and miss. When you are first starting out, take as many easy and medium modifiers from the dragon lord as you can, you want to get to the loot chamber with at least 2000 gems to spend on four rolls for whatever you are looking for. Once you have at least two modifiers, make at least one run elite. If you see the skull shrine, always take the time to hunt them down. If you see a Kwartz crystal, again always kill them. Almost all of the side objectives are worth doing, and if you are having trouble destroying the dragon lords statue then remember to shoot the base of the statue and you may need to tweak your build, which is easy to do when you are actually utilizing the drops from your low chaos trials. You aren't going to add a ton of time to your trials by utilizing the entire trial. I wouldn't recommend going out of your way to do any of these things, but by no means would I consider avoiding them to be good advice. You need those loots people, maximize their drops from chaos 1 all the way to 20.
@@rtrichar Not at all lol. Doesn't take much longer to get more currency instead of +2 to skills for a run. For those killing fast enough, making them elite encounters also doesn't slow it down much.
@@bigdawg7000 plus even if you still want to listen to rests advice and worry more about buying buffs over loot from the loot bunnies taking the dragon Lord route will give you enough currency to do both so you'll be buffed out for the final boss of the run and still get a few loot bunnies at the end too
I found a buffmeister and liquid cooling early on in my chaos leveling, and a chaotic cloudburst channel cast arc torrent like the one shown in this video actually well BEFORE ENDGAME. All at level cap of course because I did all the sidequests on my way to endgame. Once I'd found that gun and buffmeister, I kinda...stopped buying buffs, stopped doing butt stallion buff encounters, and just breezed through everything. Ambi-Spellshot/Graveborn by the way.
There is some serious bad advice here. I would suggest ignoring or doing the opposite of what this guy is saying. Do any side objective you can. The only one that will actually slow you down is the stand in the circles (or perhaps the melee kills depending on build). Getting more currency means more gear drops, which means you actually can improve you gear and clear even faster. The currency lets you target slots which is amazing for gearing up. The only solid piece of advice here is to not pick Dragon Lord portals. Just watching the game play reveals a very possible reason for this misinformed video. Trash mobs that are living through a spell cast means the person is undergeared for the content or just has a bad build.
I know this is from a while ago, but I am struggling on the chaos 15 trial. I have a good build and I thought I had good legendaries, but they barely chip away at his bars even with the right element; and I’ll get downed, recover, and immediately download again for no apparent reason. Tried 3 times and couldn’t beat him.
Currently I'm stuck at chaos 14. It's taking a little longer to kill things but it's doable. But that damn son of a witch boss Nd that bird are the bane of my existence

i have something going on when i do my chaos runs and cant find out if its normal or some kind of bug(started after i finished the level 11 run) when i do my runs for example last night i did level 15 run and it unlocked chaos level 17 instead of 16 did level 17 and it said level 19 unlocked instead of 18 is it normal for the game to unlock 2 chaos levels instead of just one?
the problem with this is if you have no build or good guns at all, then you NEED all the currency you can get, how do people expect others to get to level 20 if all they have is campaign story gear? get each of your slots filled with good legendaries and then barrel towards 20.
100% if you need upgrade then farm for them! I was mainly just saying don't worry about farming for god rolls or specific enchants because once you get to chaos 20 you are going for chaotic and volatile!
He's a pain to kill because if his shield Regen my best advice is take out his shild Regen dragon when it spawns above his head with a liquid cooling pistol which is the best pistol in the game so far look up where to farm for it hope this helps 🙂

imo as long as youre level 40 getting any gear is good, its not like bl2 where overlevel 5 stuff will be useless as you do more runs. level 40 stuff will be good all the way till chaos 20 and youll collect plenty of chaotics on the way to 20, so speedrunning to 20 isnt the most necessary even at chaos 20 volatile drops are only at like 1% so thats going to be the real grind. so if your goal is all volitiles then i guess speedrunning is fine but i was getting alot of chaotics going up to 20 most of my build was either good rolls on 40s or chaotics by the time i hit chaos 20
I find his info useful, to a point. If you just scream through to level 20, you start getting your ass handed to you unless you are a lucky person and get some great drops. It's good to slow down and grind a bit. I went straight to chaos 9 and realized things were killing me pretty quick so I'm grinding to get a few better things. I kill stuff fast but some mobs are annoying and can 1-shot through your shield and health. I find that pretty dumb. It should just kill your shield, not Health as well but they won't change it. I've done at least 100 Chaos runs from 1-9, getting 2400 crystals each run and dumped all of it into spells and have yet to get a buffmeister... Like, what the actual eff?

How are you gonna even get good gear to be able to survive level 20 if you grind through the chaos levels? You’re gonna get to 20 and then start putting curses on and then you’ll realize “oh shit my build is ass and I can’t kill anything” and then you’re gonna end up having to go back down either way just to grind good gear
For some reason I can't pass the chaos level 4. I have been choosing the right option but when I complete the trial it says I'm still at 4. I don't understand what is wrong. Can anyone tell me how to fix it?I've also been applying the chaos level when I return to the chamber
When you first talk to dragon lord before starting the run switch between the trials then switch back then you will see your current chaos level. I have done a couple trials and noticed my level not increasing, you want to make sure you see your current chaos level before starting the trial after switching then switching back to the default trial it shows the current chaos level.

There’s a bug when you fast travel to places I believe. I’ve heard it can be fixed by changing your chaos level, then switching it back to 20. Good luck man.
So some of the easiest dragon lord mods are the hard ones...like the reaper death spirits one...but don't take toothless. Also the "medium" one frost buddies sucks...its way worse.
Why would having more mobs to kill that progress the map even faster be a bad thing? Frost buddies are just more mobs to kill and they have almost no hp...

If you want the Xbox achievement to unlock chaos 20 you have to do the chaos run on level 20. Finishing 19 unlocks 20 but it doesn't beat it for the achievement.
bro ive been using the goblin repellant weapon from a side quest and i cant seem to find a better weapon ;--; but somehow its been carrying me to to chaos lv 6 but now its kinda of bad idk what i should do;--;
Cryo SMG with a special barrel, you get one on the chest of the first map. They deal a good deal of dmg, see what you can do with your classes, maybe some other pieces of gear are really old and need something more on level, farm chaos runs in case too.
@@yellownomadglitch3309 if your a spell shot and have the buffmaster you should probably use it cause it just makes climbing the lv's so much easier And if you don't have the buffmaster I just kept rolling on the spell rabbit and eventually got 1
Anyone have any tips to level up fast? I’m stuck at level 25 and boss farming isn’t doubt it for me. On the second to last mission and I want to get to level 30 before I do so :)
Dungeons are good, you also get some of them out of the way, nothing special in them that I've found other than shrine pieces. The boss in drowned abyss I farmed for a while got a bunch of levels. I did only one side mission and got to like 35 or higher before finishing the game, I was just having fun doing whatever so you can probably do just about anything. chaos runs will be your best bet once you've completed the game so if you're not having fun grinding LVLs without progressing anything just get to that sooner.

nah, first of all you need good gear to kill fast and you get gear upgrades through chaos chamber, not true that i'm going to retire all the stuff i pick up, so you need that currency. secondly, you can't kill fast with that HORRIFIC mob density....You need to run through the map to find something to kill and you can go like 45 seconds without seeing an enemy. finally, once you reach chaos 20 start farming? For what? Other characters? That would imply people want to go through the hassle of leveling and getting all those stupid dices all over again, yeah no thanks. The endgame is a good concept but there is much work to be done here, mob density, the curses are unoriginal, to say the least, or totally broken (elemental pool or no save your soul before dying) and i did not see the 60 plus randomized level design/monsters, i always get the same. so yeah good concept but it needs to be worked on and polished a bit
Because chaotic gear is chaotic gear there is no chaotic level 1,2,3,4,etc gear. If you get chaotic gear at chaos level 1 it’s the same exact thing as getting chaotic gear at chaos level 20
I think the yellow is extra chest with gear and the blue is with crystals. Never seen a good drop from the yellow chest portal would not recommend, just go for extra crystals to spend on statues at the end.
These aren't really mistakes unless you're trying to speed run to level 20. Basically everything you're saying not to do is part of what makes these trials somewhat fun. If you're trying to get to level 20 as quick as possible then yeah, follow these tips. But if you're just trying to have fun which is the point of most games, then ignore these tips. He says completely ignore upgrading to elite, yet elite fights are much more fun to play through. TL;DR: Speed run to level 20? Follow this video's tips. Want to actually have fun leveling up to level 20? Completely disregard this video, or just do the opposite of what he's telling you.

Dragon Lord statue takes no time at all! It's just as easy as the time limit one. I melt that thing in 3-4 seconds
I spawn hydras to focus that while kill enemies and its done so fast

You probably got a regular piece of loot. Not all loot that is dropped is Volital at level 20
You can crit the Dragon lord statue. I kite all the enemies to it go into the shadows and spam the masterwork handbow into it for pretty fast clears.

Correct. The point of chaos modes is to level to chaos 20, which is the only chaos level with a chance to spawn volatile weapons.

I've done at least 100 Chaos runs from 1-9, getting 2400 crystals each run and dumped all of it into spells and have yet to get a buffmeister... Like, what the actual eff?

@@rambot1669 thanks, I actually beat him finally and I guess the game glitched because I went straight from 18 to 20🤷🏻♂️ now I’m at like 23 I think. I don’t know if it was the recent hot fixes but I’m dying less and killing enemies easier.

How are you gonna even get good gear to be able to survive level 20 if you grind through the chaos levels? You’re gonna get to 20 and then start putting curses on and then you’ll realize “oh shit my build is ass and I can’t kill anything” and then you’re gonna end up having to go back down either way just to grind good gear

So chaotic and volatile weapons just have higher base damage? Do we know the percentage increase?
Chaotic has some chaotic only effects from what I've seen

For some reason I can't pass the chaos level 4. I have been choosing the right option but when I complete the trial it says I'm still at 4. I don't understand what is wrong. Can anyone tell me how to fix it?I've also been applying the chaos level when I return to the chamber
Same thing happened to me. I just relaunched and it fixed
When you first talk to dragon lord before starting the run switch between the trials then switch back then you will see your current chaos level. I have done a couple trials and noticed my level not increasing, you want to make sure you see your current chaos level before starting the trial after switching then switching back to the default trial it shows the current chaos level.
did all my runs in 15-25 min and i did the side objectives and even 2 of the raid bosses all the way up to 20

after you beat the final boss a new overworld side mission shows up

Play offline just in case they hotfix it out. Run the buffmeister glitch and farm your ass off while you can.

Yeah i Switches to a pet build at chaos 7 optimized it on the way ant from 10 to 20 i ran through in one session really not Worth it to farm too much

There’s a bug when you fast travel to places I believe. I’ve heard it can be fixed by changing your chaos level, then switching it back to 20. Good luck man.
this video just isnt right side objectives level you up faster, chaotic ghear can drop from all chaos modes so get as much crystals

So some of the easiest dragon lord mods are the hard ones...like the reaper death spirits one...but don't take toothless. Also the "medium" one frost buddies sucks...its way worse.
Why would having more mobs to kill that progress the map even faster be a bad thing? Frost buddies are just more mobs to kill and they have almost no hp...
@@Krashwire I am pretty sure they Don't give any Progression. It was when I was starting out. Now with my build being better they are alright just annoying. Still rather avoid it though.

If you want the Xbox achievement to unlock chaos 20 you have to do the chaos run on level 20. Finishing 19 unlocks 20 but it doesn't beat it for the achievement.
Just my own experience but I actually got it after my 19 run, I didn't even know there was a 20 trial until a few days later

bro ive been using the goblin repellant weapon from a side quest and i cant seem to find a better weapon ;--;
but somehow its been carrying me to to chaos lv 6 but now its kinda of bad idk what i should do;--;
Cryo SMG with a special barrel, you get one on the chest of the first map. They deal a good deal of dmg, see what you can do with your classes, maybe some other pieces of gear are really old and need something more on level, farm chaos runs in case too.

And if you don't have the buffmaster I just kept rolling on the spell rabbit and eventually got 1

Anyone have any tips to level up fast? I’m stuck at level 25 and boss farming isn’t doubt it for me. On the second to last mission and I want to get to level 30 before I do so :)
Side missions help.
Side quests side quests side quests. They’re even funnier then the main quest
Dungeons are good, you also get some of them out of the way, nothing special in them that I've found other than shrine pieces. The boss in drowned abyss I farmed for a while got a bunch of levels.
I did only one side mission and got to like 35 or higher before finishing the game, I was just having fun doing whatever so you can probably do just about anything.
chaos runs will be your best bet once you've completed the game so if you're not having fun grinding LVLs without progressing anything just get to that sooner.
Does anyone know which buffs can Butt Stallion give you? I usually take them but I never know what I got
When you open the chaos menu in the dungeon it should tell you which buffs and debuffs you have active

nah, first of all you need good gear to kill fast and you get gear upgrades through chaos chamber, not true that i'm going to retire all the stuff i pick up, so you need that currency.
secondly, you can't kill fast with that HORRIFIC mob density....You need to run through the map to find something to kill and you can go like 45 seconds without seeing an enemy.
finally, once you reach chaos 20 start farming? For what? Other characters? That would imply people want to go through the hassle of leveling and getting all those stupid dices all over again, yeah no thanks. The endgame is a good concept but there is much work to be done here, mob density, the curses are unoriginal, to say the least, or totally broken (elemental pool or no save your soul before dying) and i did not see the 60 plus randomized level design/monsters, i always get the same. so yeah good concept but it needs to be worked on and polished a bit

Because chaotic gear is chaotic gear there is no chaotic level 1,2,3,4,etc gear. If you get chaotic gear at chaos level 1 it’s the same exact thing as getting chaotic gear at chaos level 20

what does the chest portal do?
I think the yellow is extra chest with gear and the blue is with crystals. Never seen a good drop from the yellow chest portal would not recommend, just go for extra crystals to spend on statues at the end.
These aren't really mistakes unless you're trying to speed run to level 20. Basically everything you're saying not to do is part of what makes these trials somewhat fun. If you're trying to get to level 20 as quick as possible then yeah, follow these tips. But if you're just trying to have fun which is the point of most games, then ignore these tips. He says completely ignore upgrading to elite, yet elite fights are much more fun to play through.
TL;DR: Speed run to level 20? Follow this video's tips.
Want to actually have fun leveling up to level 20? Completely disregard this video, or just do the opposite of what he's telling you.
