For me, this era of Ford is the era where Ford made great cars… As a 23-year-old I had a 1977 Ford Capri 3.0 Ghia, what a car, what an exhaust note, if you put an aftermarket exhaust on. You had to be extra careful with fast turns though, the Capri was renowned for being a little tail-happy if you pushed too hard in the corners.. Made great drift car in the snow.. 😊
Not that many years ago Capris could be bought for peanuts and most people wouldn't be seen dead in one. Now they are the epitome of cool. In fairness they always were a good looking car.
I seen Lewis Collins when i was a child, he opened a sports shop in Pembroke and cut a ribbon across the main door,I shouted bodie he looked at me an I showed him my corgi 3ltr capri s from tge series, he stuck his thumb up to me ,still remember like it was yesterday.
Had the later 2.8i Ghia, went like sh't off a shiny shovell but so easy to get them twisted in the bends and exit sideways. Still had the old Mkll Cortina suspension setup, MacPherson Struts up front and leaf spring back axle.
The British version is a lot better-looking and nicer than the American version almost forgot, actually all British versions are always better looking, sounding and even smell better than the American version Gee I sure do miss the UK please don't say go to Arizona and say hello to the old London Bridge she's not British any more
It’s not original and I would only be interested if it was as is back in the day, it’s been restored and would never have looked like that even when it was new
been watching the show on prime .. and the Sweeny.. brings me back to my childhood..
Goodstuff Garry. Thats what it is all about 👍🏾.

Sweet. Loved that show back in the day.
I have the theme tune as my ringtone, love it!
Learnt to drive in a 69 Capri…. I’m still in love with them to this day 🥰
Capri is a good great looking car. So advanced away ahead of it's time..
Must have had a fortune spent on it since the professional days. Retro chic
I would of thought so, especially after all the handbrake turns and wheel
spins 🤣
My favourite old school car .
Go round again 😂😂. Awesome 👌
It was OAR 576 W in The Professionals as they used fake plates often.
Lovely car 👍

If I would of known that 10 or so years ago. I would of bought one at a low price leave it in the garage and now it would be worth a fair bit 😃.
@@WeBlogAnyCar Any Ford with RS on it is crazy money. Even GSi or GTE command a premium. I'll have to wait until the prices crash,if they ever do!
@mgcarmkm4520 I’m not sure the prices will but like you if they ever did I’ll be ready 👍🏾.
My old next door neighbour had a 3ltr if only he had known now how iconic it would be, and my best mate had a black one converted to manual from auto.
I was the original owner of this car - still looks crisp. ❤
Great. So did you purchase direct from the production company? Tell us more please.
@@Robin-hk7nnthe production company didn’t own the cars they were supplied by Ford’s marketing dept.
I only thought the golden anniversary one survived wow nice brings back childhood memories
All the original Professionals Capri still exist- including the Mk2 X Pack that had a brief appearance in a 1977 episode.

The white RS2000 is under restoration currently.
