Ricardo Ramirez not everyone learns their regional dialect but since yan an is from shanghai (in which shanghainese is more commonly spoken) now that I think about it he does have a Shanghai accent

My family is also from Shanghai and Yan An sounds like a typical Shanghai person speaking Mandarin, haha. Hopefully one day we'll hear Yan An bust out some Shanghai dialect, if he ever learned it, but it seems like most younger people these days don't speak it.

My grandma is Shanghainese so I know a little Shanghai dialect (and i'm really young mind you) My grandma likes to ramble about how almost no kids speak dialects in general nowadays, judging from the fact my uncle went to Guangzhou and asked a kid if she knew Cantonese and she said "That's a dialect, I don't speak dialect".

@@Christina-uo3xn his mandarin doesnt sound that different. mandarin doesn't have a specific sound, as long as the tones r right, everyone can understand u. some ppls accents interferes with tonal pronunciation, but his is fine

maybe he is not from beijing or northern parts of china, and his chinese may not be accurate like LuHan's.....people from other parts of china may have some slight accent while speaking mandarin chinese... but i felt that His Korean is better than THE8 and JUN from Seventeen.....
