Great video on what looks like is gunna be a Great Project. Surely some Mini owner over there in Uk will snap up those Seats. I would If I still had a Mini 😭 and still lived in Uk. I have had about 6 or 7 minis a Couple coming to a Sad End. Living in Oz. I always carried a Spare Gallon of Petrol. In the Boot. The Quickest way to Remove a Boot Door/Lid, is NOT to Do the Cap up on the Can properly. And the Old Worn Cover over Battery Arched out on Can as I went around a Corner..! Result : Boom..! Boot lid spinning down the Road, Head linnig on Fire. With a Full tank of Petrol the Fire brigade turned up in time to Save the Engine. I had Some Nasty Burns too..!! Twin Tanks Great Idea..! Cheers and Thx kim in Oz. 😈
oh my goodness that certainly confirms my thoughts on a twin tank👍, I'm based in The Netherlands, so if someone wants the interior and is willing to collect I'm happy to donate to some else project👍
@@classicminiculture9800 'Oh wow' on several levels 'Donate.!' & I missed the 'Nederlands' link too. And yes Picking up a Cheap mini and not having the $$ to fix up all it's Faults. Was in this case an Almost Fatal Error. Thankfully when the Petrol can Blew up it Flew out with the Boot lid. And the Full to the Brim petrol tank Blew the Cap off and Burned like a Raging Candle. The Interior/exterior was gutted to the Engine Fire Wall. I had an Extinguisher but the Car was well alight. And I was Rolling in the Dirt putting my Jacket & Jeans out..!! After Fire Brigade turned up I got them to Soak me too. Just before Ambo's turned up..! I was Lucky. Mini not so much..! Sadly..! I managed to save the Engine. Which made a Great Spare for my Next One. But I Made Sure the Cover over the Battery was Sound in future..! I was only 23 and Learning on a Budget..! Cheers from kim. 😎
I would prefer a bit more detail than you usually provide. I can always skip forward if a particular section is becoming tedious. I found your comment about assembly being easier than taking things apart interesting - this isn't always the case, especially on a rusty Mini!
Good video, as usual! Do not throw away the old interior! I would be looking for one to place in my mini as my original interior is just all broken and it costs more to restore it than to buy a new one... let me know if you would be interested in helping me!
Length?: That is tough. The new guy like myself who is learning everything as I go likes to see the “how”, but I love seeing your finished car. I personally love the length…. I hate sheet metal screws.. planning on using a similar capture of screw
I enjoy the length of your videos but I must admit I feel deflated when you're post ends. It's not a bad thing it's just that iam left wanting more. Just keep doing what you're doing and I will keep watching 😉👍
I saw in one of your video's that you put in longer slides for the chair (for bigger persons) where or how did you get them? I'm planning on buying a 1995 and that is one of the first things I need do adjust ! Just don't know the video anymore.
thanks Stewart, Yes this is an interesting one, I talked to mini sport that supply the kit and they said mirror, but then the forums seem to have a different opinion.........haven't drilled it yet so lets see if more people have feedback👍
Good luck with the build! Your English is remarkably good for a Dutchman. Regarding the length of the video, depends on your own goals. Do you just want to show progress? Do you want to make a 'how to' video? I personally also watch videos like this to be inspired and to learn something on how to do certain things, so some pointers on how to are nice, but I don't need to see someone fit calipers for 10 minutes
Think the length of time is good, really like the floor lift. Looking forward to this one👍
Nice video 👍. Looking forward to seeing the full build 😀
Nice looking forward to this build 👍
Thanks, good to see you are back on the mini builds👍
As a mini fan, more detail is always welcome. No matter how long the video is I'll watch to the end, I love details :D
Looks pretty solid, fingers crossed 👍
the more I dig the more I can see that he just ran out of steam, a lot of work is good but then other areas seemed rushed.

Seats etc look like “jet black” trim, be worth a few bob to some doing a resto!
Happy to Donate to anyone in The Netherlands that can collect them.....
Would say content is good👍 maybe specialist items/ not common jobs i.e fuel tank measuring and drilling more info on that sort of thing 🤔
will keep that in mind phillip, thanks

The right hand tank location is not an exact mirror image of the LH tank position, but it will work. This is discussed at length on mini forums.

Where did you get that c clip screw kit from? Looking for something similar to have a few spares.Thank You
