Honestly, his survivability odds are rly high at the end of this vid. He has a prty decent base built up with nearby village to hide in if his base is ever overrun with enemies and now he has a baby murderer to protect him with a floating fence to keep the baby murderer in and enemies out so he shud be safe from anythin when near his home at least. Ofc, how does he kill the enderdragon as a pacifist? thats gonna be harder but im imaginin an army of iron golems. Even tho theres actually a way to cheese it with blocks that doesnt even require attackin it; which if he did that then it wud still be pacifist kill... I just think he wud rather use an army of golems tho.

My first hardcore playthrough was essentially a pacifist run. I've been playing the game for around 11 years and I've never beat the game. I generally just play and peaceful and build stuff and make farms. But I decided at one point to lock myself in hardcore and I built myself a dirt castle wall with my farm inside and my house floating above it. I rarely left my dirt castle. Whenever I did leave I would always bring enough dirt or cobblestone to make myself a hut and I built tons of little safety huts with supply deposits everywhere. I had a graveyard as well for the many dogs that died saving my butt. I'm pretty bad at the game still
@@TakecenterStage Im okay at farming kinda, not auto farming. Thats about it, I've been to the nether once in hardcore, never the end in survival or hardcore. But it's all about the fun in the end :)

@@SylviaRustyFae He wouldn't have to install a Golem, villagers create them by themselves, in fact the sky village has one. And yes, my base IS entirely safe, no monsters have ever been inside in the like 30 hours I've been inside it, despite connecting with the entire village, which due to being in a hill is both above AND below my house. My house is a set of tunnels right below the top of the village on the hill, and is on top of the low-income housing area I have made digging the bottom sides of the hill (Definitely not affecting structural integrity of my house and the center of the village) Also, I made the low-income housing, which connects to my bae, but villagers can't get in my base. It is mine, otherwise they'd farm my crops and mix them because they don't seem to understand having uniform patches of crops, they just plant randomly whatever they have in their inventory. And his fortress is ugly, he made some decent decor in his first "one" chunk series but it has been really ugly this series, and villager and tunnel based architecture are my favorites.
@@manologamerss5801 The one iron golem hangin out up top isnt gonna protect the whole village and the basement... He wud still install his own iron golem to protect his basement area just in case bcuz hardcore and he is accident prone. Id also be wary of the drowned attackin the basement section; hence sayin he wud put a golem in of his own. As you said, the villagers cant get to your base... So neither can their iron golem on patrol.
@@manologamerss5801 His fortress is also only "ugly" to you. I like it. I like clashing textures and colours and find them to be more visually stimulating to myself. I love his mishmash house.
A cool challenge you could do would be to have a series where you start in the Neather! You can get food the hoglins, wood from the warped and whatever the other one is called trees, blackstone can be used to craft stone tools. Though you can get iron and diamonds from chests and use charcoal for torches you could treat the overworld as the neather and trade with piglins for obsidian to make a portal so you can get whatever you want over there, but still have the Neather be where your main base is! Could be fun, or are not gamer enough to take up the challenge?
This is reminding me of Mumbo, though he was only a pacifist when it came to stats. He would murder stuff all he wanted as long as the game didn't register it as a kill.

For your house I’d recommend bringing the wood pillars out by 1 diagonal to make the build look more dimensional and framed. Also adding a roof would help too. Making the glass panes and not blocks also helps and change the direction the door is
I was expecting the polar opposite! A "Can I survive Minecraft when I can't stay in the same chunk" where he only gets set time in a chunk before moving on. But this is great too!
I feel in this particular run setup, iron Golems would be broken, since their pathing specifically makes them hostile towards enemy mobs no matter what. You're not directly attacking them.

You can make the logs in your house look better by adding depth. Put the logs one block further out than your walls, and it will give the effect of framing your house. Also make sure the set the door on the inside of the doorway, rather than flat on the outside. You can change which side of the block it's place on just by standing at the other side. Finally, if you add a rough cobblestone foundation (mix in some slabs and stairs for a rugged look) you can make the transition from ground to house look much nicer.
Excuse you, Jim Pickens IS a nice person. A murderer and a kidnapper, sure, but he's the nicest muderer-kidnapper you could ever meet. Really, you couldnt hope for a better killer.
Building tip! Don't place all blocks in a straight line, make it more 3d! Bring the wood in the corners a block further out than the walls, put slabs or trapdoors under windows to act like a lil window board, you can even use trapdoors to make a frame around the windows! Experiment and have fun!

I've never ever played Minecraft. Kevin playing the game is one of the very, very few people I can watch, others make it too serious or too brave for my taste. Kevin, you are perfect. Not at everything, but to me you are the best Minecraft player 🥇

I know this is an older video and I'm not sure if this comment will have any impact on your decision, but I would love to see more of this! I love watching your challenges because you approach them normally, like I would, without an absurd amount of planning (which basically removes the challenge aspect in many cases imo). so we get to see your problem solving and I find that very entertaining because you problem solve very well - you just don't mitigate risk very much, which makes it very funny 💖 and a pacifist challenge in hardcore is an excellent setting for entertaining problem solving and adventures

After being in one chunk for so long it feels really -weird- seeing Kev running around MC as normal, also I've not played it in ages and the way you can see light filtering into those caves is really nice! One thing I've always wanted to do was to have a seed that made something like the farlands (back in old old Minecraft where you reach the collision border of the game and the areas beyond look really weird and all over the place, always looked so cool

I mean, come on, even the villagers plant their seeds more efficient... 11:13 vs 11:29 For the uniniciated: One block of water (no matter if a source, flowing or waterlogged block) can irigate tilled dirt up to 4 blocks away, summing up to a 9x9 blocks large field with the water in the middle.
I love these series you're doing on Minecraft, here's a couple suggestions I think could help for a pacifist. If you hold up the shield next to a creeper it won't deal damage to you if it explodes but it will knock you back. You could use that to kill other monsters nearby. Wolves are probably really good and cats will scare away creepers as well.
Definitely would love to see more! I like this challenge because it is still unconventional and really difficult, but also let’s you explore the new features and terrain.
kevin idk if you know this but you don't have to wait for your armor to break before replacing it. you can repair it with ingots on an anvil or even combine it with other pieces of damaged armor to create slightly better armor. also, you can put a leash on your iron golem and have him fight your battles for you in the caves. he can be repaired with ingots as well.

In reguard to your 'ugly' house; depth is key, make the brick cube like you were doing and then build the wood beams in front of the bricks so they pop out. Also adding different sized cubes attached together helps.
I'd love to see you play rlcraft one day. It's very unforgiving, but with you natural talent for chaos it'd probably be the funniest rlcraft playthrough ever
Just a little tip for ya Kevy: you only need one water source block for 4 blocks of farmland. In this video you've placed 2 separate water gutters for only 3 blocks (in width) of tilled soil when all you would need is one with the ability to add another row. Hope this helps :)

Just a friendly reminder that Kevin can still be a public nuisance without killing anyone. Stealing, luring monsters into danger, and strongly urging Villagers to let him sleep in their beds is all fair game.
Iron golems aren't the only thing you need, you should get a lot of cats and station them around the perimeter of your base to keep the creepers and phantoms away. Have some snow golems in like a bunker with a moat that has magma at the bottom
Kevin the logs in your house can be kept one block further out from the wall... It adds a bit of depth and makes it look good, not that it isn't already
Ending the game as a pacifist might be doable actually. Snow golems in the nether with fire resistance potions, can kill blazes for you Kevin, to get rods. You can use water to kill endermen, for the eyes. And beds to kill the dragon. You basically kill the dragon by sleeping next to him, so that is kinda peaceful. I believe in our military genius!!!

Whenever I did leave I would always bring enough dirt or cobblestone to make myself a hut and I built tons of little safety huts with supply deposits everywhere. I had a graveyard as well for the many dogs that died saving my butt. I'm pretty bad at the game still

If someone enjoys making houses in creative mode or likes making huge towns in their survival world that's their choice. Minecraft isn't just one thing. 6:40 Honestly, being friends with the villagers and redecorating their town (and building golems and dirt walls to protect them) is a very fun activity, you should try it since you're a pacifist and will need trade to obtain animal goods.

@@SylviaRustyFae He wouldn't have to install a Golem, villagers create them by themselves, in fact the sky village has one. And yes, my base IS entirely safe, no monsters have ever been inside in the like 30 hours I've been inside it, despite connecting with the entire village, which due to being in a hill is both above AND below my house. My house is a set of tunnels right below the top of the village on the hill, and is on top of the low-income housing area I have made digging the bottom sides of the hill (Definitely not affecting structural integrity of my house and the center of the village) Also, I made the low-income housing, which connects to my bae, but villagers can't get in my base. It is mine, otherwise they'd farm my crops and mix them because they don't seem to understand having uniform patches of crops, they just plant randomly whatever they have in their inventory. And his fortress is ugly, he made some decent decor in his first "one" chunk series but it has been really ugly this series, and villager and tunnel based architecture are my favorites.
@@manologamerss5801 The one iron golem hangin out up top isnt gonna protect the whole village and the basement... He wud still install his own iron golem to protect his basement area just in case bcuz hardcore and he is accident prone.
Id also be wary of the drowned attackin the basement section; hence sayin he wud put a golem in of his own.
As you said, the villagers cant get to your base... So neither can their iron golem on patrol.
@@manologamerss5801 His fortress is also only "ugly" to you. I like it. I like clashing textures and colours and find them to be more visually stimulating to myself. I love his mishmash house.

A cool challenge you could do would be to have a series where you start in the Neather! You can get food the hoglins, wood from the warped and whatever the other one is called trees, blackstone can be used to craft stone tools. Though you can get iron and diamonds from chests and use charcoal for torches you could treat the overworld as the neather and trade with piglins for obsidian to make a portal so you can get whatever you want over there, but still have the Neather be where your main base is! Could be fun, or are not gamer enough to take up the challenge?

For your house I’d recommend bringing the wood pillars out by 1 diagonal to make the build look more dimensional and framed. Also adding a roof would help too. Making the glass panes and not blocks also helps and change the direction the door is

I feel in this particular run setup, iron Golems would be broken, since their pathing specifically makes them hostile towards enemy mobs no matter what. You're not directly attacking them.
Kevin stipulated playing "as a pacifist", he never said "a pacifist can't have a bodyguard".

My life is a Joking Hazard.
You can make the logs in your house look better by adding depth. Put the logs one block further out than your walls, and it will give the effect of framing your house. Also make sure the set the door on the inside of the doorway, rather than flat on the outside. You can change which side of the block it's place on just by standing at the other side. Finally, if you add a rough cobblestone foundation (mix in some slabs and stairs for a rugged look) you can make the transition from ground to house look much nicer.
Kevin being a pacifist is the equivalent of Jim Pickens being a nice person
Excuse you, Jim Pickens IS a nice person. A murderer and a kidnapper, sure, but he's the nicest muderer-kidnapper you could ever meet. Really, you couldnt hope for a better killer.
Building tip! Don't place all blocks in a straight line, make it more 3d!
Bring the wood in the corners a block further out than the walls, put slabs or trapdoors under windows to act like a lil window board, you can even use trapdoors to make a frame around the windows! Experiment and have fun!

I've never ever played Minecraft. Kevin playing the game is one of the very, very few people I can watch, others make it too serious or too brave for my taste. Kevin, you are perfect. Not at everything, but to me you are the best Minecraft player 🥇
Would love to see this series continued- you'd imagine that there wouldn't be much to do for pacifist minecraft, but Kevin makes it an entertaining and addictive video no matter what! Can't wait to see more!
I know this is an older video and I'm not sure if this comment will have any impact on your decision, but I would love to see more of this! I love watching your challenges because you approach them normally, like I would, without an absurd amount of planning (which basically removes the challenge aspect in many cases imo). so we get to see your problem solving and I find that very entertaining because you problem solve very well - you just don't mitigate risk very much, which makes it very funny 💖
and a pacifist challenge in hardcore is an excellent setting for entertaining problem solving and adventures

After being in one chunk for so long it feels really -weird- seeing Kev running around MC as normal, also I've not played it in ages and the way you can see light filtering into those caves is really nice!
One thing I've always wanted to do was to have a seed that made something like the farlands (back in old old Minecraft where you reach the collision border of the game and the areas beyond look really weird and all over the place, always looked so cool
For the house you need the logs to be one block out to give it depth! Also have the door be on the inside of the block!
So like if the house is 4 by 4 the logs have to be in 5 line?
I'm always down to watch Kevin play Micecraft. They're always really entertaining, funny, and loads of fun!

For the uniniciated: One block of water (no matter if a source, flowing or waterlogged block) can irigate tilled dirt up to 4 blocks away, summing up to a 9x9 blocks large field with the water in the middle.

I love these series you're doing on Minecraft, here's a couple suggestions I think could help for a pacifist.
If you hold up the shield next to a creeper it won't deal damage to you if it explodes but it will knock you back. You could use that to kill other monsters nearby.
Wolves are probably really good and cats will scare away creepers as well.
I really like this, I love that it forces you to play completely different to how you normally would, those challenges are the best/most fun 😊

I love this! Get yourself an army that protects you, like in the other gameplays where they do all the dirty work for you
kevin idk if you know this but you don't have to wait for your armor to break before replacing it. you can repair it with ingots on an anvil or even combine it with other pieces of damaged armor to create slightly better armor. also, you can put a leash on your iron golem and have him fight your battles for you in the caves. he can be repaired with ingots as well.

In reguard to your 'ugly' house;
depth is key, make the brick cube like you were doing and then build the wood beams in front of the bricks so they pop out. Also adding different sized cubes attached together helps.
I'd love to see you play rlcraft one day. It's very unforgiving, but with you natural talent for chaos it'd probably be the funniest rlcraft playthrough ever
Just a little tip for ya Kevy: you only need one water source block for 4 blocks of farmland. In this video you've placed 2 separate water gutters for only 3 blocks (in width) of tilled soil when all you would need is one with the ability to add another row. Hope this helps :)

Just a friendly reminder that Kevin can still be a public nuisance without killing anyone. Stealing, luring monsters into danger, and strongly urging Villagers to let him sleep in their beds is all fair game.
Iron golems aren't the only thing you need, you should get a lot of cats and station them around the perimeter of your base to keep the creepers and phantoms away. Have some snow golems in like a bunker with a moat that has magma at the bottom

A little tip: if you can't crash in a village for monsters being nearby, you can normally sleep in a house closer to the center of the village.

Ending the game as a pacifist might be doable actually. Snow golems in the nether with fire resistance potions, can kill blazes for you Kevin, to get rods. You can use water to kill endermen, for the eyes. And beds to kill the dragon. You basically kill the dragon by sleeping next to him, so that is kinda peaceful. I believe in our military genius!!!
Yes! I want a series of this because your other pacifist things I haven't played the game of so I relate to this better. (also I think I like it better when it's not a story game)
