Lani was a backup singer for 2 bands and used to be the Multiplex Queen (because her voice was often used as a guide for Whitney Houston multiplex tapes). She also did stints in Las Vegas for 15months. She can also impersonate foreign singers.

I'm a popster but in terms of high-range belting, Jona is my favorite.

the range of regine, the soulful voice of jaya and the opera voice of lani and that is Jona.
You can also check her Mc Arthur's Park performance at ASAP. Jona is a vocal monster/vocal beast, aside from her sustaining power, what I like her also, her ability to sing opera and I liked her performance during the Asian TV Awards, she sung the Diva Dance - Fifth element. She really is fearless singer and a Philippine Pride.
One thing for sure Jona can't sing Nella Fantasia.

Lani used to perform with Regine and Jaya every week in a sunday variety show. And in that same show, jona sings as part of the trio la diva and julie ann sings with rita daniela and other kids as part of sugar pop kids. I miss those numbers.

Lani was called "Multiplex Queen" during the 90's doing the songs of Whitney Houston. Multiplex is a music and vocal that its vocal can be removed, ang you may play as minus one using cartridge.

Not surprised to see 70's Nora Aunor included in the list. She had that rich alto voice (for a Filipina) that we missed until Jaya and then KZ came along. Lani is definitely an entirely different beast, huge range with evenly distributed chest power all through out. It might take some time before another Filipina takes her throne at Las Vegas as Siren of the Strip

Hello Yazik! I have been to Krakow, Wodowize and Warsaw and I noticed that Polish have some common traits with us Filipinos. We are both family oriented, religious and simple. Polish go to church with their families compared other Europian countries which are not so religious anymore...
Lea!!!! 🙆🏻♀️💃🏻❤️ Mowie is my favorite but Lea will always have a special place in my heart. That clip of Lea Salonga singing I Dreamed a Dream as Fantine in Broadway, i saw that in person. It was a-maaaaaaa-zing!!! 🤩👏 That was the first time i ever saw a Filipino perform on stage in Broadway (and as one of the leads at that!) I love Broadway so much (all things theatre really! off-Broadway, SITP and even ballet) so it really warms my heart to see a lot more Filo talents in different Broadway shows in recent years. When i saw Lea as Fantine in Les Mis, the other two leads who play Marius and Cosette (Adam Jacobs and Ali Ewoldt) were also Filipino-Americans. (I also saw Adam Jacobs play Simba in The Lion King and Aladdin in Broadway- that guy is everywhere i tell you!!!) You don’t know what seeing that does to young Asian (especially Filipino) children and adults. To see someone who looks like you stand on that stage and do a masterful job- it is a really powerful thing to see. It’s *representation*. It’s super important because it shows you that this can be done, this can be you someday if you just work hard and reach for your dreams. As a young girl at that time, having to see Lea Salonga on that stage, it woke something in me. It started my love for theatre and the arts. It inspired me to join and be active in theatre all throughout high school and college. And even though i didn’t pursue it as a career (i took up law instead lol), the theatre will always be my first love and it’s all thanks to Tony Award winner, Disney princess, Ms. Lea Salonga!!! 👑🙌💞
