Gopro In A Crab Pot

My first crabbing trip in 2024. Took my son to Waldport and we caught 2 crabs - which we cooked there at the parking lot. It was slow crabbing for us that day. This is expected since crabbing won't get good until mid August. We were using a crab pot and 2 crab snares by Fishernomics.

looks like maybe some pretty fast tides too PK?-first time wife and i ever crabbed was rented a boat from mckinnlys marina-3 rings-3 baits for 3 hours for $20.00-40 years ago-tight lines and health to you and yours

Went crabbing last Sunday in Newport.
11 people, 11 traps, 11 crab.
Those were some expensive crab.

It seems weird to me you don't prefer the collapsible box shape traps I've seen you use in the past. These conical traps look difficult for the crabs and I swear at least 2 keepers left instead of dealing with getting to the bait.

They actually work quite well you just have to pull them often and they are perfect for those times when you can't use a crap pot.
