The Longest Day set a standard! US actors played "Americans", Canadian actors played Canadians, Scots played Scots, English played English, French played French, Germans played Germans. And everyone spoke their own language with reasonably accurate translations;. (since some words while not cuss words in their native language are curse or cuss words when translated....)
i have deleted the commented that was on this page-- i have no idea how it got on this thread, it was intended for a political issue in my country-- as far as john wayne goes ,the quiet man is one of my and my entire families favourite movies-- we watch it on average , once a year
