My school around the early 2000s got a couple of these tornadoes to dyno test our tbuckets and we pretty much found no increase in HP or Torque. And in some higher flow intake applications there was even a decrease which we chocked up to extra flow resistance caused by the device... we pretty much sent our results to the company and never heard from them again.. later on when they became popular they were bosting some ridiculous results of 12% increase in performance by some no name university that probably doesn't exist or did something shady like changed out the intake in between tests obviously for a payoff.. the whole thing to me seems to depend on the placebo effect.. if you go in thinking positive expecting good results you will think you got them..very few people have a dyno to confirm these results. Mpg which can can vary daily isn't a good measure for performance.
The tornado actually works but not very well it only gives you 2 or 3 miles per gallon better gas mileage Ive seen videos of a company that put these things in their trucks that had a fleet of trucks they drove alot. All of their vehicles got better gas mileage but not alot

One Right rear and one left rear Tire sensors broke and bouncing around inside of both tires. Dash light never came on as one would assume so tire sensors are fairly tough to withstand to all that bouncing around. Drove 45 minutes to original tire shop wife bought tires from and they found same issue and mechanic clearly said probably broke when installing tires onto wheels. Five minutes later managers called me outside and required $327 to replace them. Manager claimed they’re plastic and brake. Naturally I replied sensors were broken when tires were installed..!
